You've tried everything you've read to help your BOY manage ADHD and stay on track, but you still have trouble with the basics, like getting him to do his homework, getting him to help around the house, getting him to soccer practice on time, and getting along with him without constant arguments. Problems associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can make life difficult for anyone, but young boys who are trying to meet the demands of home, school, and society might feel particularly overwhelmed.

Through excellent parenting tactics, study skills, diet, exercise, sleep, and more, Dr. Churchill will guide you on a highly practical journey to capitalize on the particular characteristics of ADHD. Boys can have an optimistic outlook on their ADHD with the help of the appropriate resources. This ADHD guide for boys is packed with simple activities to help your child with the many aspects of ADHD, such as self-control and organization, getting jobs done, and making friends, so that they can thrive in all aspects of their life.

As they develop their individual skills, children will learn to change their perspective on ADHD. Your boy will acquire insight into himself, his ADHD, and the simple things he can do to feel more confident and in control with the help of this guide, which takes a strength-based approach and includes enjoyable exercises that engage his active mind.
The majority of parents of ADHD boys might use some assistance in dealing with the difficulties they face. This had a few good tips here and there, but most of it felt like general parenting advice rather than specifically for parenting kids with ADHD. I would've liked some examples, rather than long, dry lists of ideas (which were mostly common sense and nothing new). It also seemed more geared towards younger kids, and I was looking for some advice for teenage kids. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very helpful for me.

A top notch book on ADHD!

This book is a complete guide to help anyone navigating a child with ADHD, but especially a son. I appreciate Eunice’s approach and helpful tools throughout the entire book. Chapter 11 is invaluable and the additional chapter on how parents can care for themselves is top notch!

This was okay. It did not really help much. Most of this book, I feel like is common sense and stuff we are already doing. Maybe it's helpful to some but not to me. The person they got to read it sounds like a news caster or a robot. Not a good choice for this book. It was super short but not really helpful.

Published in 2022, I'm disappointed with some of the shame-based language of this book- despite its intent being the opposite. There were also some odd perspective shifts from addressing parents to addressing teachers and some very random strategies. Overall, it's an easy read and has some bits of wisdom here and there.

Pretty generic advice and suggestions that could be used for all kids not just children with ADHD. This is a great book for a parent whose child is newly diagnosed and they are not familiar with ADHD. It is directed more towards boys, but a lot of the advice in the book could be used for girls as well.

It was fine. A few good tips, but it felt pretty basic and wasn’t anything I hadn’t heard before. I didn’t love how everything was phrased as it seemed a bit shame based sometimes, and it was pretty dry. But it was short, which is definitely nice.

This was a great resource as we navigate the challenges of parenting a child going through puberty with ADHD.
