It’s time for this family feud to die… Life is sweet for an NHL god, and I’ve got it all figured out except for one thing. Rather, one woman : Joy Vasquez. I’ve wanted her since high school. She hates my guts. She comes by it naturally. Our feuding families are determined to keep us apart no matter how many sparks fly when we’re together. We’re born enemies, and all I can think of is making her mine. Seeing Joy at the rink is both pleasure and pain, a blessing and a curse, a constant reminder of everything I don’t have and shouldn’t want. The problem now is convincing her to give me a chance. On the ice or off, chemistry has never been our problem. With our high school reunion looming ahead, I’ve gotta wonder if I have what it takes to make this forbidden rematch work or if I’m heading to the penalty box alone, doomed to repeat my past mistakes. Re Match is book 4 in the Arizona Rattlesnakes series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone novel.
This story is about Arizona Rattlesnake hockey player Rico and a former ice skater named Joy. They have known each other since their young school days. Although Rico has always wanted to get together with Joy, their feuding families prohibited that. Now, as adults, their chemistry is scorching, as well as their Latino tempers, but until they get to the source of this feud, they really can't move forward.
Some of the scenes at the nudist colony were funny, but spending the day there with your friend's mother? Yikes! That's a picture I don't want in my head! It's well written with lots of sexy banter to go with the sexy doings, but not much of a relationship. I, personally, needed a little more emotional connection, not just a physical one! But the bonus epilogues are great!
Long standing feud has kept Rico and Joy avoiding each other, but Joy moving to town had Rico in a tizzy. Tired of ignoring his feelings he acts, full on charge. Joy is leery but is ready to keep it physical, but they need to know what the source of the feud is before going any farther but to stubborn women aren't ready to give in. Fun banter, fun characters and plenty of heat makes this a good read.
Rico and Joy have know each other a long time…but not as long as their families have been feuding. Rico loves playing professional hockey but is that enough? When he starts asking Joy out she is not having it. I found Joy to be a bit immature and annoying to be honest but I loved Rico. This book was a cute quick read and this series has been a lot of fun. Im already looking forward to reading the next book.
In this story, Rico and Joy have always been at odds because their families are feuding for unknown reasons. There's some awkward history from high school although they remember events a little differently. Now they are both in Tucson and have some friends in common. Rico suggests a truce but he's really after more than that. This story was OK although not my favorite in the series. I have enjoyed this series for the way the players give each other tough love when they screw up.
Rico and Joy were so much fun to read about! These are two hot-headed stubborn Latinos that have ALL the family baggage to unpack! They took Romeo and Juliette to the next level! I am loving watching this hockey family grow!
Ahhhh Rico and Joy have to be my favorite couple so far in the series. Their past and present relationship really hits the heart and the tears! They are opposite but definitely attract! Great book!
