How? Library has it, I read it -- that's the rule, and, well, I think it's time we reconsider this rule.

What? It's Transformers, the RPG. The robots that were in disguise as cars and boom boxes and maybe a giant pistol -- it's them, but as an RPG.

Yeah, so? I really have to throw my hands up. I do not at all understand this game in any way. Like: Renegade Studio has a whole host of 80s (and 90s) kid TV show licenses; and they have their house system, Essence20 (which as a name: feh; and as a system: feh). So of course they put out this game with this system, even if it seems stultifying to me.

But maybe that's just me. Is it just me? Checking Reddit, the TransformersRPG has 800 members, the Lancer RPG has 40k members. So I don't think it's just me.

That said, they've already produced a bunch of supplements, so either they're burning through their money or someone is buying this.

And like the recent Marvel RPG book, so much of this is sample pages and art about preexisting Transformers, which provides the useful example of how you might translate a character into the system, but doesn't really help you run it. This might be another case of this being for collectors to talk about on the playground, like the old 1980s Marvel Guides to characters: "Could Optimus Prime really defeat Megatron and Starscream together? Let's look at the stats!"

Only now the Transformers collectors are too old for playgrounds.

I GMed this for a group of three. Pretty fun even if I was the only one who was a fan of the Transformers.
