Protecting him is my job. Finding out he’s my fated mate wasn’t part of the assignment.

Lake Forrester III entered my life like a wrecking ball. Drake Security, my firm with my brothers, was hired to protect him from a stalker ex, but what Lake doesn’t know is that he’s not dealing with your average unhinged human. The unhinged wolf shifter he unknowingly dated will stop at nothing to get Lake in his clutches.

Just another day in the life of a dragon body guard.

The one thing I never expected was for Lake to be my fated mate. To say my protective instincts are on overdrive is an understatement. I’ll move mountains to keep him safe and delight in tearing the wolf apart with my bare hands if he gets too close to my mate. If it unleashes all out war with the wolf packs, so be it. I never claimed to be the level headed one.

In the meantime, my only focus is Lake and his safety. If anyone hurts him, it’ll be the last thing they do. My dragon will make sure of it.

Hot Head is book one in the exciting new series, Drake Security. It features a dragon bodyguard with anger issues, a fabulous human with more money than friends, an ex on the loose, and fated mate goodness. Dive into Hot Head and feel the burn.

I wasn't expecting much and got even less.

First of all, DRAGONS. Cool, cool. Except for a dragon book to be satisfying, we need complex world building. Guess how much world building we get here? That would be ZERO, negative, nada.

The character development is also seriously lacking. Nico is grumbly, possessive, and has a temper.

Lake is a twink, whose sole identity consists of designer clothes, hot yoga, and nightclubing. This would be fine if he were 19 or even 25, but he's 32.

Lake is also a C-list celebrity who's famous for being famous (and for his daddy being stinkin' rich). So Lake is gonna mate/bond with a dragon, and then what? How are people not going to notice when he stops aging?

I guess that's a problem for another day.

So the premise here is that five dragon brothers run a top security firm named, you guessed it, Drake Security. This is all well and good, except they appear to be terrible at doing their job.

Case in point: Nico gets hired as Lake's bodyguard when Lake's ex (who happens to be a wolf shifter) begins stalking him.

Nico's brother, Lord, wants to handle the case diplomatically, but it takes him weeks to determine whether the ex is part of a pack or not. At one point, he invites three pack alphas over to discuss the situation, and then he and his brothers proceed to call them dogs and are incredibly rude and condescending. Who says diplomacy is dead?

The ex manages to somehow break into the "impenetrable" dragon compound to find Lake, and even then, the brothers just let him go. I don't know about you, but I can think of a few things between kill and release. Tie him up and detain him under lock and key, maybe?

Then they have this brilliant idea that one of the brothers will pose as Lake, and all five dragon brothers will go to capture this ONE wolf shifter, leaving Lake all alone in his apartment. WTF?

If you must leave your human client all alone, how about an Airbnb 40 miles away or a cabin in the woods in another state or Italy?? Anywhere that is NOT Lake's downtown apartment. And how about two of the brothers, like Lake's mate Nico for example, stay with Lake instead of leaving him unprotected. You need five DRAGONS to take down one wolf? Like, what?

This is all a setup so Lake can play hero and save himself, but it's so ridiculous and dumb, it's almost funny, not funny ha-ha, but funny like I'm rolling my eyes because the authors must think their readers are gullible idiots.

I might give the second book a try (because I'm a masochist obviously), but this one kind of sucked.

P.S. The second star is for the sex (self-lubricating dragon cocks, anyone?) and cuddle hoard.

This has spoilers I’m not hiding so don’t continue if you care.

FYI, this author is a collab between K.M. Neuhold and Mia Monroe, and no that’s not a secret.

I quit this book like, 10 times. By the time I got to the end, I really wish I had.

To say I’m not surprised that a vapid sassy “twink” was paired with a grouchy bear of a man with these two authors is an understatement. Also not surprising they have insta-bond/attraction/love… I saw someone say this is a slow burn and I guess 40% is if you’ve read these authors previous books. 🤦🏻

There is ZERO world building. This was basically characters and plot from one of Neuhold’s previous contemporary books but they just decided to make a character a dragon. You can’t claim to write PNR and not have a… world. It’s bizarre.

The characters are super one dimensional. Lake is a materialistic partier who is 32 and lives off his dad’s money… that is literally all there is to him. And he CONSTANTLY makes absolutely idiotic decisions that gets him into trouble. By the end I was hoping the deranged wolf killed him. 😵‍💫

Lake has zero reaction to Nico being a dragon. He was just like “that’s cool.”

Lake wanted Nico to kill his ex early on… like… Lake is a normal human and thought Nico was a human, and he was just casually like “I want you to kill him.” 😳

Literally every dragon book I’ve read, the dragon calls the other MC “treasure.” 🤦🏻 Why is the MM genre drowning in unoriginal ideas 😭

1 star for the adorable idea of the cuddle pile hoard and the ✨potential✨

I’m not sure what happened to these authors in the past couple years, but I think they should break up.

Ok.. this is gonna be another live read review because of #reasons.

2% Lake is annoying.

4% one character is named Lord. Seriously? LORD? What is with KM Neuhold and weird names?

6% Why do all the brothers have names from a different culture?

7% Seems like Nico communicates via grunts. It's in the dragon handbook after all.

8% So 8% and there is no world building to speak of. Shouldn't a fantasy book need a... world? Maybe Nico grunted the world building and I missed it.

10% Starting to skim. Lovely

20% My head hurts from rolling my eyes so much. Also why is Lake's speech pattern inconsistent?

Nico has graduated from Grunts to Growls! Well done big boy.

23% Calling it. This was... bad.
I don't even care about skimming or getting to the steam.
This book was plain LAZY. Do better.

four sugary sweet cuddly stars 🤩 This is a nice light-hearted story about a dragon who finds his fated mate.
I mostly liked that there are no insecurities, so no silly long debates about Lake really being Nico’s mate and that Lake so easily accepts everything and feels the connection and doesn't question it. That's the thing that usually makes me roll my eyes, so thank you Mika Nix for making this all flow together so beautifully perfectly.
Obviously, this is an insta-lust-love story.

Damn, this man is gorgeous. My dragon rumbles in agreement. Cannot fuck the client. 😏

So the dragon can not hold back very long, so sex ... and sex and a little more of it. All quite fitting and so exceedingly convenient with a dragon cock that has lube built in 🤣😂🤣

Geez, these two are cheesy together after Nico introduces Lake to everything. That was mildly OTT.

“I love you, my treasure,” I murmur. “Not because you were fated for me, but because you are beautiful and fierce, unafraid to be so uniquely you.” 💗💗💗

The very best? the cuddle hoard 😊 I want something like that for myself!

Solid 2.5 stars. I did have a lot of fun buttttttttttt yeah. I knew very early early on that it wasn’t gonna be very memorable :(

Let’s begin the rant!

1. I enjoyed both our characters. Lake was surprisingly likeable for a trust fund brat. His references were a bit much at times but it’s okay. But nico was really not selling the fact that he was supposed to be 2500 years old. And for that matter Lake wasn’t acting like he was a day over 18. And he was said to be THIRTY.

2. This was very low angst and has like basically no conflict within the relationship which I do usually enjoy but didn’t work for me this time since this relationship literally had to end with one of them signing up for immortality. And this went at a breakneck space, all things considered.

3. Speaking of the immortality thing. Fated mates. That’s a concept that works when both of you are the same species so you both understand the weight of the situation. Not so much when one of you is human and just vibing while the other “animal” one is also only vaguely aware of its implications. So this was very loosely falling under that category and there wasn’t any of the usual pull I’ve come to expect with that trope.

4. Add it all up and lake basically had an extremely blasé reaction to the whole situation. Major things happened and he was just… eh. Literally decided to live forever with a guy because he cuddled with him once. I know it’s a romance but I wasn’t able to turn off the logical part of my brain rip.

5. Massive plot holes? How is lake, a celebrity, gonna live forever without people noticing. How have these immortal beings evaded recognition???

6. I fully went into this with high hopes and did highly enjoy it for the first 30% or so but as soon as they started fucking I just lost interest because there was so much of the book left with paper thin conflict. And the pacing was just bad in a way.

I can always trust KM Neuhold to deliver the low-angst, fun and lighthearted books! I love me some dragon shifters, and really can’t go wrong with Michael Ferraiuolo narrating. Lake and Niko are like one of my favorites tropes, beautiful, sassy, stylish femme twink meets gorgeously buff and gruff bear. I eat that shit up so fast. Throw in bodyguard/client, forced proximity and fated mates tropes.. *chef’s kiss*

I honestly am in the worst slump ever. Nothing is keeping my attention, I am DNF’ing books left and right. So this is another victim of the slump!

Idk I might pick this back up later, but I can’t continue, I don’t care about either character… 😭😩

Dragon shifter and a human!? When I heard that I was like 'gimme right now' 🤤😂

Hot Head is the first dragon shifter book I've read. And damn it was so hot and I loved it!

“Making you happy is my new obsession. If I could hoard your smiles, I would.”
“I have an unlimited supply all for you.”

We have Nico (our grumpy dragon) who is hired to protect Lake (our human). Lake is a cheerful, carefree guy who loves partying and enjoying life. But when an ex starts stalking him his life changes and he decides it's a good idea to hire a bodyguard for a bit. That's when the lifes of our two MCs collide.

What you can expect:
We have bickering, infuriating dragon that grunts most of the time in the first part of the book, intense chemistry, fated mates, and MINE possessiveness (my weakness as all of my friends here know it).
We have four dragon brothers, a bit of angst, a lot of sweet moments in the second part of the book and oh my, the smut between these two was so HOT! 🥵

The possessiveness and the fated mate part is the reason I enjoyed this so much. Both Lake and Nico were very nice characters to read, and I enjoyed the combined writing style of both authors.

There were some smart parts because of which I thought about lowering my rating. But honestly? I just suspended my rational thinking and decided go with the flow. That part is a spoiler for something major in the story so I won't say more.

I had a blast with this book. I'm continuing with Hemingway's book now. I can't wait for the other brother's books toooo 💚💙

You know the books where you know right from the start that you dislike one of the characters? This is one of those for me 🙄

The one I liked (so far) was Nico, a dragon shifter, who works as a bodyguard for hire at his family’s security firm. He has an actual hoard, a treasure like the ones in the fairy tales, that he loves and he sleeps on. And he’s restless, which - as well versed readers know - is a sign he’s about to meet his mate.

Said mate is obviously Lake, a sparkly, outgoing young man coming from a very rich family. I don’t think Lake has any purpose, he’s just… there. Enjoying life. Being a nepo baby.

And I don’t like him 🤷‍♀️

So instead of making myself push through, I decided to dnf at around 10%, no rating. It might be for you (in fact, quite a few of my friends loved it), but it’s definitely not for me.

It was entertaining and sexy but there was nothing else to it.
The MCs are one dimensional; there is no depth or anything outstanding about either one of them. It was weird considering how old the dragon is. I expected an exciting backstory, tales of the past, etc. But there was nothing like this.
The connection with fated mates is instant and that's OK. But as the story progresses; I want to see true relationships and love developing between the mates. In this book it was all about sex and talks about how perfect they are for each other. But I I didn't feel it. And didn't really care.

disclaimer: this is a completely biased review. i love pretty much any possessive/fated mates book if it’s written decently. this is, so i love it.
we have a possessive, brooding dragon shifter and a snarky, fun, take no shit human.
what’s not to love?
i am concerned by the fact that lake is 32 and does absolutely nothing in his life and has no skills apart from yoga but it’s more jealousy than anything else.

gimme all the brothers’ stories now.

I read this a couple of days ago and I forget to update my review.

I picked this title because: 1) the cover 2) dragon shifters! 3) bodyguards 4) stalking ex. What more could I ask for? All my boxes are checked and so I had to try it

I didn't know Mika Nix was a pseudonym for K.M. Neuhold and Mia Monroe writing pnr together. I've read both and their stories tend to be easy to read and enjoyable. And this one was, too.

This was an uncomplicated read, and it was exactly what I was looking for so good for me!

We have Lake, the son of a rich businessman that loves to party and live his life to its fullest. But things get tricked when one of his "exes" starts stalking him and making him feel unsafe. And I'm saying "ex" with quotes because they were barely two weeks together... And the man got obsessed lol

What Lake doesn't know is that his ex is actually a wolf shifter, and that makes him far more dangerous. Lucky him, his dad hires Drake Security to bodyguard him, and that's how Lake and Nico end together.

This being a fated mates romance as it is a fast paced one, but it's not off-putting either.

The pnr is light in this book. The Drake brothers are Dragon shifters, and as we already know there are also wolf shifters. The world building doesn't run much deeper.

It was funny seeing Nico act as a Dragon. His Hoard room, full of jewels and gold. His purring. His shifting skin. It was a different take from shifter, and as the paranormal is just barely there, it was more like something fun that gives the story a different touch.

This isn't unforgettable, but I will def be reading the next books to discover the brother's romances and to see them finding their fated mates.

Just as an extra, I'm hoping for one of them to fall for s wolf shifter hahaha They seem to hate each other (and the brothers reacting to the wolves scent was hilarious), so it could be an amazing enemies to lovers.

I adore paranormal romance and having a dragon MC is always a winner for me. This one had me hooked! I always love a good bodyguard romance and throwing in a good fated mate's trope and it's even better.

Nico was a grump, but luckily Lake was a ray of sunshine. He is Nico's complete opposite, but he complimented him so well! He is such a misunderstood character and all he wanted was for someone to love him. Just because you have all the money in the world, it doesn't mean you will be happy!

I like this take on fated mates. Nico had no idea why his Dragon reacted to Lake as he did. The idea of a fated mate, is a fantasy, just because it is so rare. They got to get to know each other and didn't rely on just being fated mates. The moment Nico figured it out, I was thinking its about time he figured it out.

They were so beautiful together and the sexual tension was epic. I just knew it was going to be like a bomb going off and I wasn't wrong. The sex was phenomenal, I couldn't get enough of it. The cuddle hoard idea was so cute. Nico collected all those things not knowing why, and then Nico bypasses all the gems and gold for them. It made Nico's dragon so happy!

Nico's brothers were all so different and I can't wait to read their stories, especially Lord's. It looks like Bookish Hemingway is next and his name so suits his personality! I love the world the authors have created and I so hope one of the wolf leaders is one of the brother's mates, as it would be epic. The Dragons can't stand them, so I want it to happen so much!

Bring on the next book, I just can't wait!

I received an advanced copy of this book, and this is my honest review.

This was.... Ok? I never felt any connection to either character which is something I need to be able to enjoy a book, and it all felt a little stilted/forced.

I'm beginning to think Dragon shifter books just aren't for me! I've yet to read one that makes me feel anything strongly towards the characters which is really disappointing. It's weird because I don't have this issue with other paranormals, just dragons 🤷🏻‍♀️

Urgh, come on, dragon shifters AND a writing duo like these two, who would ever want to miss this… 🥰🥰

I have a huge thing for Dragon shifters, so Nico was perfect for me. He turned out to be exactly what I was looking for – strong, caring, protective and so much more... ❤️💖

Lake, however, completely took my breath away. I loved everything about him.
From his super-stylish, runway-worthy outfits to his sassy nature - he was an utter and total firecracker…💘💓

Thoroughly entertaining fantasy with a smartly conceived and well-executed plot.

Further proof of sharp and witty writing is the different personalities that came through for all of Nico’s brothers.

I am so, so excited for their stories – Hemingway’s is next and I’m gonna be right here for it…💙💙

I had to interrupt a book I was reading to try this one out because I kept hearing things like "cuddle hoard, MC is TREASURE, size-difference, smile hoarding, etc." and I couldn't not read it!

There were a few highly personal things that kept this from being five stars for me:
- Lake reads like he is 22 although he is supposed to be 32 – I don't know why he couldn't have either just been 22 or been written just a tad older?
- Lake's constant fashion sayings – luckily these slowed down at the point where it was grinding my gears too much. You could have shown that Lake loves fashion in a less cringey way (BTW no one would "swear on [their] Balanciaga 's " (p. 62, emphasis by me))
- Lake has his "own fleet of cars" (p.20): if you feel the need to write this, you can also tell me what they are but then again he has a driver and has never driven so would he really be interested in owning a fleet of cars? He'd rather buy another piece by insert googled high-end fashion brand here than own a car he doesn't drive.
- there is some sort of potential mind connection but it came in too late for me
- there is knotting once mated – also too late
- and I'm in the camp of disappointed peeps when there is no magical dragon eggpreg
- Lake was verrry quick to acccept the whole dragon thing – just a smidge more 'OMG' from this dramatic "bite-sized" human was to be expected imo.

Stuff I loved in form of quotes

"Guests would imply that I want anyone here. I shudder at the thought. Guests. People. In my sanctuary, in my den, so near my hoard they could put their grubby, greedy hands all over it." (p. 7)

"In my defense, all my dragon wanted to do this morning was roll around in the damn pile of blankes that I still can't figure out why we're hoarding." (p. 24)

"...he's annoying. But he smells so good." (p. 48)

- The conversation about furry friends and toothy friends (p. 77)

"I peer through my groggy eyes as I feel myself moving. What I see once I clear the sleep away is one gorgeous bodyguard carrying me. Gasp. He's carrying my like the goddamn princess I am." (p. 98)

"petite treasure of a man tucked close to me." (p. 129)

"Lake is safe there." Lake smiles, dragging his hand down my arm. "Swoon."
"Did he just say swoon?" (p. 144)

etc. okay there's too much

Just read it for all the cuddles, "Mines" and the not instantly jumping into sex but also focussing on being cozy lots <3

A rough start

This book wasn't quite as interesting as I hoped and it's down to a mixture of characters and story direction.

Lake and Nico meet because Lake is being stalked by an ex-boyfriend. Since the man had barely been a boyfriend, only for two weeks, Lake is shocked and afraid from the aggression being shown. Nico and his brothers run a very efficient security service but nobody knows they are so god because they are dragon shifters. Quickly realizing that the ex is a wolf shifter, Nico sets out to do his job but also figure out why Lake is so intriguing to him.

Lake and Nico were really not interesting characters at the start. Nico has the whole not liking people thing going on, which mostly has him minimally verbal around others and hyperfocused on the job he has to do. While that is fine it didn't give time to go into what was going on with him as a dragon, the life he has lived and the things he can do. Lake also had a poor introduction as the spoiled son of a rich man. Lake himself admits that he is rich, never had to work for it or indeed work for anything, always gets his way, and will one day get the family company despite his lack of interest or training. It really did not make him a likable character and it took quite some time from this introduction to get into the characters.

While things do change some of it feels either forced or a bit of a lie. Lake does show more of himself as time goes on but some of it seems completely contradictory from the initial statements, from good schooling to keen business sense. It is nice to see him prove himself amongst the dragons but it didn't entirely match his own initial statements. Nico too becomes much more effusive around Lake to woo him, though the old fashioned style feels a little awkward at times. It just wasn't easy to buy the turnaround in some ways.

As for the direction of the story it took a few rather expected turns and really just sets up some obvious things. There was a hint of an issue with wolves but the whole thing blows over rather quickly for all it is hyped up. Even the problem of the very public life Lake lives is quickly forgotten. It seems that every problem was just for show and not really anything to actually work on.

It felt like a promising book and all the right elements were there but overall this story just didn't quite have the substance to make it a truly engaging read.

Hot Head is the first book in the series Drake Security. This series is written by Mika Nix, the paranormal alter egos of authors K.M. Neuhold and Mia Monroe. Hot Head is a MM dragon shifter (no mpreg) romance with a guaranteed happily ever after. It's told from a first person dual point of view. You can expect a hot headed dragon bodyguard, a fabulous human that feels lonely even surrounded by friends, an overbearing family of dragons, fated mates, grumpy/sunshine vibes, and a cuddle hoard.

Synopsis: Dragon shifter Nico Drake's life has been upended by his new security client, Lake Forester III. He was hired to protect Lake from a relentless stalker ex-boyfriend. Unfortunately, they're not dealing with your average human - Lake's stalker is a wolf shifter that is slowly becoming unglued and he'll stop at nothing to get Lake back. When Nico realizes Lake might be his fated mate? His protective instincts go into overdrive, and all his dragon wants to do is keep Lake safe and tear this wolf to shreds...

I've read books by both of these authors, and since I'm on a little bit of a shifter romance tear, I figured this would be perfect. I love the shifter aspect in a contemporary setting, and the security firm was a unique twist (and a great way to put some millenia-old dragons to work). This book was relatively low angst, and filled with lots of swoon, cuddles, and sexiness. It was fun watching the tension build between these two before they first gave in, and once they realized they were fated mates? Nico's protective instincts went into overdrive and I was here for it! I'm new to the world of dragon shifters, but I thought Nico's hoard room was so cool and of course Lake loved it! The way the dragon is one and the same with Nico, but also separate was kind of fascinating to me, but I loved that Lake was able to soothe both of them. And of course, I was very relieved when they dealt with Lake's stalker problem once and for all.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the other brothers in their respective books, and I hope they all get their well-deserved happily ever afters!
Nico presses my palm to his heart, and I feel the fast thump, but even more so, the purr vibrating through his chest. “That’s my dragon. He adores you, Lake. You make us both very happy.”

When I heard Mia Monroe and K.M. Neuhold were teaming up to write a paranormal series about dragons I may have squealed in excitement. I mean I love dragons and I love both these authors works so putting the two together was like a double whammy of WOOP! Their solo works tend to be sweet, but also bring the heat and that is exactly what we get in Hot Head.

I loved the grumpy sunshine pairing of Nico and Lake. Nico was all scowly and growly and here comes Lake unapologetically fabulous. I bet Nico never thought when he took the security job to protect a rich mans "spoiled" son that it would lead him to the man fated to be his. Seeing Lake bring Nico out of his comfort zone were some of my favorite parts of this story; That and the steam of course😉 .

Nico's dragon brothers who are all apart of Drake Security were also a highlight. They all have such different personalities. I enjoyed the brotherly banter and jabs at one another. I also loved how they all welcomed Lake into the family as Nico's mate instead of it being some big angsty issue. They supported their brother even though they were nervous about having a human around who knew their secrets. That's real family for you and I'm looking forward to Hemingway's story next.

A Joyfully Jay review.

4.25 stars

Hot Head is the first book in the new Drake Security series from author Mika Nix (the combined pen name of authors K.M. Neuhold and Mia Monroe). This is basically tropey candy and, while it doesn’t necessarily break a lot of new ground, I found it a lot of fun and very entertaining.

Nico and Lake make an appealing couple, with Nico big, broody, and grumpy, while Lake is fiesty and lively. Lake just has this really fun energy and he slowly draws Nico out of his shell. Part of Nico’s allure here is that he is big, strong, and tough, but I appreciated that Lake isn’t all damsel in distress. He is brave and fierce and gets himself out of trouble when needed, and I think the two have a nice balance.

I didn't like many things about this book. The plot is boring, with holes and things that really don't make any sense. The characters are so one-dimensional and forgettable, how can a super old and super hot dragon shifter be boring? I cringed a bit on how it's written "..attacking his mouth like a starving man handed a burger." no thank you, and the dialogues are lacking in depth, how are the MCs supposed to get to know each other?
I won't read the series further even though the premises were good.

"I want to drown myself in him, want to climb inside of him and share the same skin. I want to be so entwined with him that I can’t tell which parts are his and which are mine. The feeling is so intense my insides start to quiver and my lungs feel tight as heat from the deepest parts of me sears through my throat and fills my mouth."

Awwww! The way Nico called Lake his treasure 🥺 goo. their mating in the hoard room was so romantic. I loved this!

Cutesy cuteness! Sunshine twink and grumpy, intense, protective bodyguard. Yasss! I think these authors wrote this book just for me, it’s all my favs rolled into one. A sassy twink that can be reasoned with? I’ve been waiting for Lake my whole book-reading life! Excellent dialogue, awesome cutesy sassy come backs, fun pop culture references.

Can I just comment on the endearment, treasure? How flipping perfect is that for a dragon to use for his beloved? So good! Watching this gruff grump turn to a gentle mate was great. At 290 pages, this is a large book but it FLEW by. So well paced, lots of great dialogue paired well with a balance of sexy times and action.

Admittedly over the top in some areas, but there are dragons….isn’t that OTT just by itself? Pure fantasy, pure fun, suspend reality and enjoy this entertaining book.

Mia was the one to bring me over to the paranormal side with her Witches and Vampires, and now she has paired up with another favourite author of mine to bring us sexy bada$$ dragons. Both these authors are known for their sweet, humorous, and HOT men, and that’s exactly what they give us with this dragon shifter and his fated mate.

Drake Security is a firm made up of Dragon brothers and Nico gets assigned to protect Lake, a ‘spoiled’ rich guy from his stalker. But when the grumpy dragon meets the very sunshiny (slightly bratty) Lake, he discovers more than just a protectee, but his fated mate. Nothing makes an already grumpy dragon grumpier than his fated mate being attacked!

It was fun to watch Lake get Nico out of his comfort zone and get him laughing. And of course, I enjoyed Nico giving Lake the space to feel seen for him, not his money or connections, but for himself. It goes without saying that they were also steamy together (and not just because Nico breathes fire!).

The rest of the series should be wonderful…with the rest of the dragon brothers finding their one. They are all so different, so it should be a lot of fun.

Now, if I could find someone to provide me with a hoard of pillows and cuddles…
