I don't know why I'm always shocked when I read Lizzy. I have not loved all of her works, but they still shock the h*$! out of me 😂
This one was no different. But I loved it. Crazy. Dark. Brutally intense, violent, depraved and hot.. but then it had the nerve to be kind of sweet too😅
I wanted to hate Cabael. I really did. Simply because of what he is. But ... I love that demon. Holy Creator forgive me but I do..🙈🙉🙊
If you're familiar with Lizzy's work, then you already know, you just simply have to read the book to see how you'll feel about it once it's over.. This chick is off the chain where her mind takes her with her stories..🤯

Demonbreed came out of NOWHERE! I can always count on Lizzy to bring in the darker and depraved and make me love it. Seriously, I really enjoyed this smutty demon romance. And it is quite smutty...
Luckily, there's also a pretty decent plot to go with it.
Queen Jenevieve has taken over her father's small kingdom but it is not without conquerors from afar. Khragg the Unstoppable (dickhead) is at her door with an army demanding her surrender. With the short amount of time she is allowed to make a decision on where her future will go, she decides to investigate her father's library. It's here she discovers that the whispers and rumors about her father may have more truth than myth to them.
Jenevieve finds herself in a room behind a wall and discovers the demon Cabael who is chained and stuck. Come to find out, he was tricked by her father and has been imprisoned for a very long time. Cabael plans on exacting his revenge on Jenevieve since her father is already dead but the more time he spends with her and "plays," the more he realizes he wants more than just revenge.
Cabael shows Jenevieve the power of pleasure and pain and the magic he has to vanquish her enemies if only she would give herself to him. Jenevieve was such a refreshing character with grit. She knew what she was getting herself into, made decisions accordingly, and stayed steadfast on the path she chose for herself. I love a heroine that knows what she wants and doesn't back down. Cabael was so demony (yeah, yeah not a word). He was dominant and dirty and I loved the way he fell for Jenevieve. These two were such a power couple!
Lizzy made this story her own and put a unique spin on it. If you're into paranormal romances with smutty goodness, demons who fall hard, and heroines with bite then I definitely recommend this one!

Well, that was surprisingly good. Love the simplistic plot. Dead king kept a demon imprisoned in his secret chamber and his daughter, the current queen found the demon and began an exchange of favours with the demon. Plus, sexy times.

Now I have read EVERY book by the creative mind of LBequin. I have been on worlds were insect-like harvest humans for Meat 🥩, fallen in love with book-boyfriends from a dystopia post-apocalyptic future💓, laughed as a women became the 50-ft mate to a Kaiju🐲, and squirmed when characters got thrown to an alternate reality where they were claimed by their dragon mates 💦 . I always wonder what new world awaits to be explored when a new story comes out braise each one is so unique and so purely LB.
I don't think I could have ever expected this story. It is devilishly wicked and all sorts of wrong that in the end in made a right 👍. There are no boundaries to push because LB refuses to write within a box to even try contain her creativity. You can just tell she writes for the love of the story and she let she characters freak-flags fly.
This story is not a religious story as it is not set her on Earth. It can offend in sure because people can correlate demons with religion, but really this story wasn't about good vs. evil. It was about freeing to those feelings you keep locked up inside you, hidden down deep from everyone around, your truest self.
Yes, it can be unconventional or not popular. It can seem dark to some, but this story shows the filthy, messy beauty in submitting to those feelings amd letting go. What a steamy ride it is!.

Demonbreed was another enjoyable smutty read from this author. Queen Jenevieve’s kingdom is under attack and her people are in danger. While searching for a solution she comes across a hidden doorway in her late father's study and what she finds at the bottom confirms all the stories she had heard about him. Cabael is a horned demon who has been imprisoned by the former King and takes the opportunity to make deals with the lovely little Queen and although at times she resists he does get what he wants. I loved how the story started as a transaction between the two but developed into love.

Like many have pointed out, this a quick and very steamy read! It is that kind of book that you read when you want something light and entertaining, but not overly complicated. I would even say it is more on the erotic side of things. Easy to follow and well written, but not much character development. Still if you are looking for darkish, steamy and easy read, then you will definitely enjoy this book.

Maybe 2.5 stars. I just didn’t connect with the characters - they felt bland and like characters. I wasn’t immersed in their world. Maybe the general kink is just not my thing? So that probably didn’t help my interest in the book. It wasn’t terrible - just a bit boring.

Oh my god, where do I start with this amazing book? I think I have a serious crush on this author! She writes such in depth stories and has this brilliance when she pulls you into the world of the characters and simply doesn’t let you go! I’ll try to review this but I’m sure I’ll leave out something, I hope I don’t!
My first takeaway was the queen. In my mind, she has this Grace Kelly appeal that make men just want her. But she faces a major crisis and instead of listening to her counselors, she treads her own path! Boss move. Loved it. But turning to a demon? Damn, plot twist. But when that same demon over time erodes her natural and spiritual walls, I started to like the dynamic. As it stands, no sex yet and I was all in.

Lizzy has nailed this story yet again. Its hot dark and this heroine is just so made for her demon. This story may have taken a bit longer to write but boy oh boy was it worth reading. I have read and enjoyed most all of Lizzy Bequin's books, now! For anyone who enjoys dark fantasy romance, this one is fantastic! It is NOT the author's usual Sci-fi romance which I have come to love, but it is a hot, hot, hot dark fantasy with a demonic bend. I loved the characterizations! For thosewho love a villaneous boogeyman, monster or demon, then Cabael is an awesome character. Jenevieve is a sweet, innocent, who has been thrown into the role of Queen, following the death of her father. To protect her kingdom, Jenevieve will make a pact with a demon.
With this book, you have great characters, incredible creativity, and panty soaking heat! I could not put this book down! I read this book on Kindle Unlimited, but it is definitely one I plan to purchase.

The latest release by Lizzy Bequin has Jenevieve, Queen of the small and almost poverty stricken kingdom of Galadon under siege by Khragg, a really nasty and bullyish invader who is determined to snare not only the kingdom but Jenevieve as well. But she has other ideas and they involve a deal with a demon captured by her father over 25 years previously. But - isn't it bad karma to do a deal with a demon? Maybe and maybe not.
This is another of Ms Bequin's stories I couldn't put down - I've yet to come across one I can.
Highly recommended.

This was a fairly quick read for me (236 pgs), but I devoured it. Very spicy, forbidden naughtiness involving a Demon and a Queen in dire need of help, as her castle and tiny kingdom are in peril of being wiped out by a vile marauding army. I also found myself LOL at many parts of this! Very enjoyable, and I will be searching for more books to read by this author. Well done.

Looking at the cover I thought this would be basic erotica with barely a plot. Boy am I glad to be proven kind of wrong.
Plot: First this little morsel is the perfect novella. It gives a fill story arc with characters and conflict in a short snippet. I wasn't left wondering anything and the pacing of the story was incredible.
Characters: Jenny the FMC was smart, resourceful and even though she fits the virgin trope she's definitely not helpless. The Demon's language was asynchronous with the time but I rolled with it. As a demon character he was well drawn and the use of p@in/pleasure BDSM was done effectively.
😈 I'll consider this a dark romance because there is some blood and gore. The Demon wasn't a sweetheart with a heart of gold. He stayed demon in demon form the entire storyline with a wicked tongue 😝😉

Is this serious book? I just can’t believe the disgusting language and who would’ve thought it would be romantic that the heroine can distract the demon from torturing one one the queen councilman by “ She placed her hand against the demon’s chest to calm him. When that didn’t work, she slid her hand down to his cock and fondled him soothingly.” I just can’t believe it, is this suppose to be funny or Am I not understanding this type of Dark fantasy romance :).
