I received a copy of this book for free, and I leave my review voluntarily.

Natalia Kaylin has over two decades of experience in creating inspiring, supportive, and well-functioning environments. She uses her extensive design knowledge to help clients obtain transformative and sustainable results for their homes. Natalia has an MS in physics and came to the conscious design field from an electro-optical engineering background. She has also studied with renowned feng shui and meditation masters. Natalia combines science with esoteric traditions to achieve unique and empowering designs. She has helped thousands of people to change their lives and homes. Natalia is on a quest to share her passion for creating soulful homes with people around the globe.

“It is essential to live in an environment that supports your personal energy in the most nourishing way possible.”

The first thing I noticed about this book is how intelligent Natalia is. In getting her story, it is easy to see why she would be drawn to this method.

Admittedly, this is not my usual genre. However, I received a copy of this book with a lovely note from Natalia and had to dive in. I have never thought much about feng shui or how things necessarily balance in my home. I have always just gone for things that make me happy.

Which, on some level, is working the feng shui ideology. Uneducated and unintentional, this book was quite the education. It is interesting to see how the concepts of feng shui apply to home and to the life of those who subscribe.

While I can’t say I see myself figuring out the elements of my house, this was a well-written, passionately researched, and presented book that could be incredibly helpful to those looking to make changes on a deeper level.

I found Natalia’s writing style conversational and easy flowing. She explained things well, even concepts she needed to briefly introduce to dive into other areas of this book. I appreciated the care and time that went into every explanation.

I found the diagrams helpful in understanding the explanations and how things should flow for ultimate peace. That was very helpful.

My favorite chapter was the chapter about decluttering. I live to declutter. So this chapter was so fantastic, and I found myself agreeing with the reasoning in this chapter.

Hey, Natalia, you’re officially Katy approved.

Natalia Kaylin has written a guide to help you fulfill an emotionally and physically endearing home to better your life, and in concurrence, the lives of those around you and the world.
Using years of experience and training, Kaylin leads us through learning how to make our home a way to enlighten our life.

“This book has two main themes. The first is the Elements of a feng shui design and the science of creating balanced and harmonious spaces. The second is uncovering more subtle layers and ingredients of a soulful home.” (page. 5)

There are three parts to this book. The first, Getting Started, is an invitation to learn about the connection of yourself with your home. This is the section that introduces us to feng shui. Kaylin uses simple terms and diagrams to help us understand the history and meaning of feng shui. I enjoyed this section because I could relate and understand better what feng shui truly is.

The second part, The Seven Building Blocks of Creating a Soulful Home, covers decluttering, using colors and lighting, and an assortment of other valuable topics. Kaylin has so many useful tips in this section. Such as, “Look at and feel the item, whether it is a piece of furniture, an accessory, cookware, a book or clothing - it doesn’t matter what it is, just feel it. How does it make you feel?” (page 60). Making a connection to these items helps you understand if this item is a positive or negative influence in your home, which can stem from a reflection of yourself.

The last section, Putting It All Together, shares how to use what we learned in the previous two sections and apply it to our home. Kaylin breaks down every room in our home and helps to establish a more positive feeling. She helps us to bring harmony and peace into our home. Each chapter goes into great detail about what to consider in organizing and decorating our home.

Overall, this book is definitely beneficial for everyone. Kaylin breaks down what it means to have a warm and inviting home and how we can achieve this goal. Her attention to the little details in our home and the experiences in her field have given us a chance to achieve this feeling of tranquility and calm in our busy and stressful life.

One’s home is a visual representation of one’s inner thoughts and feelings, and it often is not as apparent to the resident as it is to visitors. This was the case for author Natalia Kaylin, who felt out of control in her life until she chose to pick up a Feng Sui book that quite literally fell into her path. Since then, Natalia has combined her scientific background with the tangible results she has actively experienced to help guide others to the lives they desire through the homes in which they live. This informational book introduces readers to Natalia’s life and background as a foundation for why she has chosen to pursue this specific work. Clients are interwoven as examples for the points Natalia makes throughout the book, giving readers tangible evidence of the power of intentional thought and behavior. Most books of this type focus primarily on the beliefs relevant to the theme, but that is not the case here; because Natalia is an engineer by training, she looks at everything through a scientific lens in addition to a spiritual one. This helps potentially skeptical readers understand the studies that have been done to support the changes Natalia has observed through her work. At the beginning, readers are given a list of examples that indicate that their homes could use some improvement. While this list can easily relate to most people at one point or another in their lives, it will help connect readers to the book and help them understand how they can use the recommendations in it to build a future they desire. Fans of Marie Kondo will appreciate this book as a means of taking their home decorating to the next level once they have embraced her teachings, as well. This is an especially good tool for independent women who are looking to make their lives more meaningful and prosperous while working from the inside out.

I received a copy of this book from the author and I chose to leave this review.

This book was a pleasant surprise. I don't read a lot of nonfiction, especially anything to do with interior design or self-reflection things like that. However every now and again I come across a book that speaks to me. This was my first read by the author and I'm so glad that I received a complimentary copy to read. I went into this read thinking it would simply be a guide on how to create the most effective or efficient Living Spaces within your home. However the author layered in the psychology behind certain concepts i.e.the two block concept, the meaning of certain colors. She also included case studies and diagrams of those concepts. The author's passion and experience really shines through between the pages. You can tell she genuinely cares for not only her clients but she actively nurtures her passion. The book was a very easy read and easy to follow. It was also something that I didn't know that I needed as I step into the new year vowing to reflect and reevaluate my own internal and external Living Spaces. I would recommend this book to anyone.

This handy design guide encompassses the essence of home. As I get older, I’m more interested in simplifying my life and home. I struggle with clutter and find it impossible to think in chaos. This guide explains all the ways our homes can cause mental blocks and how to free our minds to be at peace. Feng Shui combines our space and energy for optimal results. It was explained so well to help make sense of it all. The three parts of the book help to get started, to understand the building blocks, and to put it all together. What a wonderful book and I’ll be sure to keep it handy for reference.

I have been reading several books of this nature lately and really like the way this one is put together, the way it covers all you need to use and set room by room and even a small section on plants. This one is a top notch book, to be really honest though, a companion book for those of us on a budget would go well with this maybe something with some DIY ideas.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have never really thought about decorating my place like this. I like that this book gives you the basic building blocks for decorating. It takes you through the steps to prepare like decluttering and organizing. Then gives tips and ideas for each room in the house. That was helpful and allowed me to think through how I wanted those spaces.

It doesn't have the high gloss pictures and photography that is my drug of choice when it comes to home decor books, but it does have a lot of good advice and ideas. We recently moved. Essentially, we are starting over as we let go of the majority of our home furnishings so I got this book for ideas to plan and it certainly fits into that goal.

simplistic Feng Shui

Expected something different due to title using word Soulful. As a beginner Feng Shui book, it was easy to understand.
