While trying to find a loophole to a spell, I accidentally summon a monster—a powerful, dangerous, dark entity from the shadow world. No worries, I'll just send him back.
That was the plan... But one night of seduction left me powerless and chained by the beast who’ll use me to do anything he commands. Especially once he discovers the power I possess.
Now that he knows my strengths and my weaknesses, he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants. And what he wants is impossible to get without grave consequences. To fuel my magic, I’ll need massive otherworldly power. Power which can only come from a trio of beasts at my side.
When his brothers join us, there is no stopping these villains. Or is there? I crave their savage touch just as much as a I seek freedom.
Caught between a world of magic and monsters, I have but one option left. I make a deal with three devils. It’s going to cost me. Either my life or my soul. Maybe both.
And chances are, I’ll be their captive forever.
HER BROKEN BEASTS is the first book in the new Shadow World series by USA Today Bestselling Author Amber Ella Monroe.
If you're looking for a super steamy, borderline erotica monster romance, this is exactly what you want. The book wastes no time getting to the steamy scenes and there are many. The monster/demon men are fierce warriors who absolutely love the main character Sadie and I liked how much they cared for her.
The world building is lacking, with just a few details here and there about supernatural beings and Sadie's past. It would have been nice to get more information about Sadie's upbringing and how this world functions. The plot is mostly sex, with a enemy in the background. I don't mind this so much, except that the plot didn't really go anywhere and by the end we weren't much further than we started. Maybe the author is saving the action for the next book?
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All opinions are my own. Thank you to the author and Hidden Gems for the copy.
Good start to a new series. What do you do when your magic is stolen by your own family and used against you? How do you fight when you're powerless?
When Sadie was a little girl, she did a spell to summon a triad of protectors for her, her sister and BFF but she ended up with more than she could ever imagine. Instead, she ends up with three demon protectors who were always by her side in her time of need. As Sadie matured so did her relationship with her demon protectors. What started out as dreams full of carnal pleasure soon turned into the real thing when she finally meets her demon protectors in the flesh.
Altair, Morpheus and Dominik are brothers who are on a mission to seek revenge against their father. Unfortunately, due to being exiled they require a powerful witch to help them succeed in their mission and who better to aide them in their quest than the little spitfire witch they vowed to love and protect.
Sadie, Altair, Morpheus and Dominik are connected in more ways than one. Sadie is omega witch who powers were stolen by her family. In order to seek revenge, she needs to find another source of energy.
If you are looking for a fast burn, magical story full of witches, magic, demons, family betrayal, revenge and power plays Her Broken Beast has it in spades. The heat between Sadie and her demons are beyond smoking hot.
This book ends on a Cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see the lengths Sadie will go through to protect her demon mates. I received an advance review copy for my review and honest opinion.
Sadie and her monsters entertained me so much! The mystery, suspense, romance and steam were all there. This book is about Sadie and how she accidentally summoned some demons and couldn't send them back to where they came from. For years she's been haunted by dreams of her monsters but finally she meets them. Altair, Dominik, and Morpheus are all utterly obsessed with her. This was such a good book, I can't wait for the next!
safety: no virgins no OM/OW no cheating/sharing cliffhanger

Story: ⭐️⭐️ Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Darkness: 🤍🤍🤍🖤🖤 Sub genres: paranormal/ monster/ why choose POV: 1st person (Sadie) Stand alone? The series is best read in order
I tried, really I did. I wanted to love it and the plot was really cool but the inconsistency in the story, plot holes and constant basic grammar mistakes were so much it actually ruined it for me. I am the queen of rating based only on story so it pained me to rate this so lowly since the story was a great idea but it was so poorly done that I couldn’t finish it. I made it 80% in and had to DNF. It had a lot of potential and if the author fixes all of the mistakes and story holes then I will be happy to try again.
I tried so hard to like this book I really did it had everything I go for but I kept finding myself drifting away from it, the romantic scenes seemed repetitive and took away from any chance I had of getting to know the FMC.
I wouldn't say that was a fault of the author although there were some obvious faults in the writing between the authour from simple slips where character descriptions chanced page to page with no explanation as if the authour just forgot how they had described things, as well as simple terms being wrong for example her "step brother" would be a half brother having shared a father with the FMC these are just a few examples.
I think it was just wrong book wrong time I will try my best to reread this at some point in the future to give it a second chance.

I read either really smutty books with no plot, or romance books with a good plot but lots of explicit sex in them.
I wanted to like this story and honestly, it probably would have been more interesting had I not just finished Prey Island by Sacha Black which is spectacular and would be hard for any book to follow afterwards.
I just didn’t care about the characters that much. The plot just seemed to go slow one moment, then rush through something without much detail, and then back to being a little slow. The smut was okay - like maybe two 🌶🌶 out of five - no triggers, pretty vanilla sex even if it was monster sized 🍆. The only thing non vanilla is one demon had two 🍆🍆 so you know what he did with those. I guess if you read CoHo or other tamer romance novels, this would be smutty but for paranormal romance, this was vanilla.
Really enjoyed the plot of this book. I love witches & demons & anything paranormal & this story had lots of it! TONS of spice! The magic system in the storyline is spice-based for our MC & her companions, which was different & enjoyable. The spicy scenes were highly detailed & passionate. To me though, the spice kinda took over the book. I understand it's a big part of the plot because of it being the source of their magic, but I felt there wasn't enough action or development plot-wise to balance it out;the storyline almost took a back seat. The MC seemed to have alot of downtime for the severity of their situation. The FMC is also supposed to be a POC & I didn't feel that was represented enough in the book. Like there's a POC on the cover… and that's it. It ended on a cliffhanger & I will be continuing the trilogy because I am invested in the plot & the idea of the storyline. But if you want a paranormal romance mainly about that spice & demons w/ very unique "equipment", then this book is definitely for you!
Set in a paranormal world with magic, spells and demons, Sadie is in need of rescuing. She's always dreamed of demons and when she needs them most, she unknowingly summons Altair, Dominik and Morpheus. They are massive and possesive demons who will do anything and everything for Sadie. Together, they face many hurtles and grow their connection which strengthens their power.
Overall, this story is interesting with a dark twist. The characters are intriguing and we've just scratched the surface. The only issue I had was that some of the writing and flow was confusing at times. This book does end on a cliffhanger. It is not a standalone.

This is a good start to what I hope will be a series featuring Sadie and her 3 Demon lovers. The world building has started with Nebulae and there are enough side characters to fill several more books with her sister and Finn, the coven on Earth and on Nebulae. Lots of violence, really hot and dominate sex, if your shy about sex, just skim through it until the story restarts, because it is very explicit. There are a few things that I hope will be answered in coming books. So be prepared for mini cliffhangers. I recommend this for readers over 18 years of age. There are a few situations that might be triggers for people so choose carefully.4✨‘s I received a copy of the book from Book Sirens and am choosing to leave a review.
Book one of Shadow World by Amber Ella Moore is a paranormal reverse harem romance story. Sadie needs to find her sister and at the same time stop her stepbrother Finn and his plans. From the time she was younger, Sadie has had three demon protectors; Altair, Dominik, and Morpheus. Sadie will learn that her demon protectors gain their strength from her through intimacy.
While the storyline was well-developed the writing could have been better. The scenes between Sadie and her protectors were toe-curling steamy that I needed a cigarette, a glass of wine, and a nap. I look forward to reading book two.

Sadie summoned some demon protectors when she was a child and has dreams about the for years. Now when she is about to turn 21 and is in the process of trying to stay alive while her half brother tortures her, they appear in the flesh to save her. The rest of the story is about her regaining her magic through "sexy time" and trying to get back at her half brother. Oh and try and save her sister. It was a good read but the only thing that annoys me is that the author never describes Sadie. The demons are described but Sadie never is. More and more authors are doing this and I don't know why. I need it to help create a picture in my head. Besides that is was a good read with some steam.
Sadie accidentally summoned a trio of demon brothers, Altair, Dominik, and Morpheus, as a child, and has dreamed of them ever since. Now that she's in danger, she calls on them for help to aid her. Altair, Dominik, and Morpheus will do anything to protect Sadie, though they'll need to recharge often to keep up their powers. Amazingly hot and intense sexy action throughout, with different talents from each of her demons. As I often note, I'm not a huge fan of 'magic stuff' and tend to gloss over that to get to the sexy demon scenes - since that my personal thing, I don't hold that against a book. This does end on a big wtf cliffhanger.
Sadie was a very young witch when she first summoned her three demon protectors, and as she grew up they were sometimes present in her dreams. Morpheus, Altair, and Dominik, banished princes of the Shadow world, have two goals. Protect Sadie and dethrone their father. I loved these fascinating and well written characters. They are devoted, and determined to protect each other. Magic, demons, witches, murder, plenty of steam, and some unexpected twists in the plot make this a must read, and fantastic beginning to a new series. I recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is a super steamy monster romance, I mean STEAMY and is not for the faint of heart. This novel if you looked at the balance between smut and story is all the smut and a little bit of story and I ended up having a hard time staying focused and reading what I would consider a pretty fast read.
I did love the vibe of the why choose, and the MLs are so intriguing and the light plot you get about them you'll end up wanting to more about them and why they are so passionate and loving to the FL.
While I did leave this story frustrated I am interested enough to see where the story goes and if we get more plot in the future.
Wow, that was hot. This starts with a bang and just does not stop. I really liked the distinct personalities of her 3 males and all that they bring to the table. A table where she continually indulges in the offerings. I mean how else is a witch supposed to recharge. Great start to new series. I'm excited to see where this one goes.

Started strangely and didn't make sense but did eventually resolve. I had issues with some of the sex scenes, as she is a human and the majority of humans would not be able to do the things she did; there was no mention of magic helping her to do them.
I did find some issues and the book could benefit from another edit, words seemed to be missing or tenses used incorrectly.

So… going into this book i didn’t really know what to expect. To say it took me by surprise in the best way would not do the book justice. I felt the timeline was a little vague but the plot of the book was very to the point. I enjoy the “why choose” aspect because who wouldn’t want three demons catering to their every need? I am excited to see the next book and hopefully be able to ARC for it.

I loved Sadie and her demon trio Altair, Dominik, and Morpheus, and talk about some smexy demons. The author has created an intriguing world and amazing characters that make this a great read. From the great storyline and ott steam to the unexpected twists and turns this is a great start to the Sadow World series. After that cliffhanger, I can't wait to read the next book in this series to find out what happens next for Sadie and her demons. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Aside from the many grammatical errors and typos, it was a really good book and I can't wait for book 2. Altair, Dom and Morpheus are hot demons with special appendages and their witch whom they protect and care for running from her half brother and trying to find her sister and get out of an arranged marriage. Her demons are also trying to protect her and keep her safe while trying to kill their father who murdered their mothers.
I loved the book! The way the author painted the world around Sadie drew me in, I couldn’t stop reading it! The spice was 🤌🤌🤌 and the emotions between her and the beasts were raw and genuine, THE ENDING HAD ME SCREAMING FOR MORE!!! Essentially I love the book, great job <3 (I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily)
Interesting. This book was honestly all over the place but in a good way. It has everything you could want in a book that involves supernatural beings and a stark romance that is almost (well is violent). Worth every minute it took to read. Each scene kept you intrigued and wanting more. Can't wait book 2 ☺️
I have mixed thoughts on this book. It has good ideas; however, it also has several grammar and editing errors that are distracting. I also don’t know why but it constantly bothered me how the Demons talked to Sadie. Why did they have to keep calling her a slut?
This was a great and steamy read. Sadie is in a bad situation and needs her sister. While trying to find her events occur and she is taken to another realm. She gets a big surprise there in the form of 3 demons who claim her as their queen. With there help she will hopefully find where her sister disappeared to.
This is super good! I didn't expect to be drawn into the story so much. The blurb I read was mostly sex. I love the magic and multiple universes, great world building.
Super annoyed I have to wait for the next book to release (Feb 2023 for book 2 and Nov 2023 for book 3). I didn't realize this series wasn't complete yet, or I might've waited to start reading it.
Ok so the writing is the equivalent to watching a "B" rated movie. It's kinda awful. But I just had to finish it. And because I hate leaving a serious unfinished I have to read the other books in this series. I do hope the story and writing get better. Just... meh...
This is a wonderful story of betrayal, loss, love and hope 😃. Non-stop action, crazy bad things, intense situations, yummy sexy stuff and truly unique characters that will keep you turning pages long into the night 😄. Thanks so much Amber, I can't wait to see what happens next 🤓.
You hit the ground running with this one! Heat, action, betrayal and sexy demons all appear right from the beginning. Fast paced opener for this trilogy...although would love to have as a box set...it does end on a frustrating cliffhanger!! So will need to get the other two now!
I love the writing style and concept of this book. For me it did start a little slow but I still really enjoyed it. I’m definitely be willing to read more. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Lots of typos, wrong words and punctuation. Storytelling was repetitive and redundant which made if feel like a first attempt at writing. Having finished it, I wouldnt have paid the $4 to download.
