Reviews for The Marriage
Audrey Carlan brings a whole lot of heat to the forced proximity trope along with a surprising sweetness that digs right in and takes hold! The Marriage Auction series is a compilation of passionate romances at their very best! Sexy, intriguing, and sprinkled with swoon-worthy moments, these romances kept me turning the pages late into the night! ~ New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Zanetti
Audrey Carlan has taken a beautifully provocative premise and turned it into my unable-to-put-down series of the year! ~ New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst
Audrey is a phenomenal writer, and one of my favorite humans, and when I tell you that The Marriage Auction is some of the best writing I’ve read in a long time, well, it’s the truth! ~ New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby
The series has been good. But this book has so many additional side stories starting up. It’s almost too many POVs now. I’m starting to lose interest a little because some of the MCs (Faith) keep making the same horrible mistake over and over. She’s done it every single book now. The storyline is getting old and irritating.
But I will finish the series with book 4 most likely
5 star Review The Marriage Auction (Season 1, Volume 3) by Audrey Carlan
Volume 3 picks up where the previous volume ended, so if you haven't read volume 1 or 2 then STOP as you need to read these in order. As with previous volumes, there was so much going on in this book that I read it in almost one go.
We continue to follow Faith, Savannah, Dakota and Ruby and the men who purchased them in the auction. We have learned that each woman had a different reason for entering into the Marriage Auction as did the men.
I have fallen in love with each couple, for different reasons and would have a hard time picking a favourite if I was pushed. I love how invested they are in one another and how they will do what ever it takes to protect their chosen woman.
One of my favourite characters is Madam Alana who is fiercely protective of the women who enter the auction and she is a wonderful character who adds an additional layer to the story as it is unfolding.
This was well written and I cannot wait for volume four in the series.
Still loving this series!! It’s kinda hard to write a review for a book that the story isn’t over with yet but I can tell you this I wish real life was made up of real men like in this series!! The way these women who have been broken in one way or another are being loved by these men is impeccable in my opinion!!
The Marriage Auction series is the most fun I’ve ever had listening to a book, and it only keeps getting better.

📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Book three continues the stories of four couples who met and agreed to marry as part of The Marriage Auction, a bidding system that pairs the richest of society with billionaire partners.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I’m legitimately surprised at how obsessed with this series I am.
I think I’d like just because of the format and solid story. Billionaires with constant drama, danger and spice and tension. It’s got everything.
But the ensemble narration cast only makes it better and better. I’ve been listening non-stop, and can’t wait for the conclusion.
I rounded down with this one from 4.5 simply because the amount of drama piled in kept stressing me to the point of constantly putting it down. Book 4 arrives on Tuesday and I’m looking forward to some conclusions for these couples.
I don't know if anyone book character has ever made me cuss at a book! Faith lord have mercy she just keeps on keeping me coming back! Like Lord woman what will you do this time? Love the Dakota Angle. Irritated with the misuse of Opal. If you want to feel every emotion from Rage to Awe...Keep going with this series. I'll be off to book four. 😁

Memorable Quotes: Sutton was leaning against one of the columns drinking my freakin’ coffee. “Hey! That’s mine!” I snapped. “What’s yours is mine, baby.” Sutton took another swallow. I stomped up the stairs and snatched back the cup. There were literally two sips left. I drank the rest down and glared at his handsome face. “Don’t call me baby! And you can make yourself useful by refilling my cup. And do not go easy on the Emmett’s. Thank you very much.” I pushed the mug into his hand helpfully. Before I could get away, Sutton grabbed my arm, hauled me against his chest, and laid a fat smackeroo on my mouth. He tasted of coffee, Emmett’s, and straight-up sex.
Sutton chuckled and moved to the door. “I’ll just refill our cup.” “My cup!” I countered. “Mmm-hmmm,” Sutton hummed and then disappeared.
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️👑💍👰♂️👰🏼♀️🇬🇷🇳🇴🏴🇺🇲
My thoughts:🔖Page 40 of 316 Episode 69B Full Circle (Bonus Scene) 💍 DAKOTA - This isn't as good as the last 2 books but it's still on a roll. I feel like many of the storylines are taking unnecessary breaks. I also don't understand why Joel couldn't just use his money to find his SIL so his FIL could go to Greece in peace. 🔖91 Episode 74 This Is Our Family Now 💍 SAVANNAH - It would serve right for me to lose interest in the series now that I have decided to devote my time to the next 2 books. I cannot stand Noah's butt, although I knew where it was going in the last book and I have seen everything coming from Book 1 with Joel and Faith, so I am annoyed with their bad decisions. I am annoyed with every single storyline at this point and I don't know how I'm gonna get through this book.
Meh! This story has so much going wrong that it was hard to enjoy. I'm going to go ahead and finish book 4 as planned but I may need a break from season 2 of the series. They've already given insight into what to expect.
Recommend to others: Sure but this is definitely the lull of the book/series.

The couples are growing closer. Madam Alana certainly knows how to pair them off! I'm getting very attached to the main characters. Romance, suspense, family and friends interference....I love it. Audrey knows how to draw in the reader. Happy, sad, touching, steamy.
Before I say anything else, I am really enjoying this series. I am fully invested in these stories, and I downloaded the 4th book before coming over here to update my GR. Priorities, y'know... 🤣
Someone turned up the spice level in this because damn... 🥴 Some of these smutty scenes were just so romantically delicious.
These men are still voracious in their love for these women... almost too a fault, I'll share that here in a second.
It is quite possible that my brain is exhausted from some of these characters, like maybe their arc is complete... therefore, their story should be complete. But oh no, the problems keep going and going. It's the same song, different verse.
There are a couple of things that occur that I personally dislike in books, which may be why I'm a little ho hum about the story right now. Don't get me wrong: this is a me problem, but... *sigh* c'mon... 🤣
Spoilers ahead...
-Brats. Spoiled little brats. I love adorable children in books--especially with a single daddy? Hell yes. But this guy just keeps throwing money at these children, tells them how beautiful and how loved they are, and then spends no time with them. I can't.
-Men that are just a little too eager about pregnancy. I love a good pregnancy trope, and men should embrace fatherhood, but men who are just a little too into it, especially with a woman they've been with for a few weeks, when he boasts about having unprotected sex... sorry not sorry. It's an ick.
Is anyone else in love with Noah, and want him just to move away from everything? Just me? Okay, cool. This is when I realize I'm a dark romance reader: there's all these men, being chivalrous, and the one I'm making heart-eyes at is the one who did something slightly jerky (it really wasn't that bad). I think it's because I can see the writing on the wall, and he's redeeming himself already.
Madame Alana, go home. 🤣
Faith, we already know your secret. We've known it since the first book. Also, why are so many men dying because of her? No, really. I'm serious. The only thing that makes sense to me is if Joel is a mob boss. Which... ugh. Lol I respect some people love that.
Okay, now I'm rambling. In conclusion, this has been a fun adventure... but I'm ready for the conclusion.
If this cover doesn't draw you in then I don't know what would. This cover is just magnificent, but the story within the cover is so much more. These couples are just *chef's kiss ❤️
I am in love with all four of these couples. They are realizing that there is more to this than just a way to make money. They are learning to understand each other’s wants and needs and slowly falling in love for real. Ruby’s sister Opal makes her appearance in this volume. Can’t wait to see where her story takes her.
There is laughter, tears, danger, and love as you follow these ladies and their handsome men through their stories. Loving and caring for each other, their families, and the new friends they made at the Marriage Auction. Looking forward to seeing how this ends in Volume 4.
I never thought I could love a story more as it kept going, but I should have known better when it is written by Audrey Carlan. These characters make you fall in love with some and want to be best friends with others. The suspense and mystery are captivating and I can’t put this book down!
This is volume 3 of this book series and at this point, it's getting kind of formulaic and - dare I say - dull even though every single one of the couples all seem to be having happy sex lives. As I have said before, I really feel like this was a money grab by making this one long novel into four shorter novels. That being said, I do want to see how it ends. On to book 4.
The Marriage Auction season 1, Vol 3 Audrey Carlan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Like this one would be anything but 5 stars, this whole series has been amazing, I can see why there was so many Vella reads. I think this is the best work ever fir Audrey Carlan, AND it’s not finished yet 😳
I’m loving seeing the original connections from each character continue, whether it’s a small simmering to blinding heat with others. Seeing their inner demons, the true love that comes from trust, the heat Level burning… Its all there and so freaking good. The little extra of madam Alana has been a very pleasant surprise, I saw her as a mean tough woman in the beginning, now I see a woman with a purpose for better, I’m definitely looking forward to her novella in the next few months.
Anywho, I’m off to read the blistering ending to the Marriage Auction, I’m all for happy endings but these cliffhangers are killing me, Faith, Ruby, Dakota and Savannah all have problems that their filthy rich husbands can’t fix, well not easily, but these men, Nile, Joel, Erik and Sutton will certainly die trying….
Lord have mercy. I laughed out loud, I cried, and I squealed like a giddy school girl. I will say that I enjoy all the characters and their story lines, but Sutton and Dakota have my heart and I just need a book soley on them. Please and thanks much. Something I wasn’t expecting: This is book 3 of the series and we’re still only about a month into the 3 years for each couple. I’m totally thrown. I would have guessed each book would have tackled a year of time. So now I wonder, will there be many many more books to come to find out what happens in 3 years, or will things start to get rushed. I hope it’s my first guess. Also, I am a shameless romantic.
I can’t get enough of this series. The episodic style of writing that Audrey has translates well to the book format. This book focuses on the 4 couples and their journey to continue to get to know one another, and fall in love with each other. The time line for this book is roughly 2-4 weeks post contract signing. Again the men in these stories are just a chefs kiss, so attentive and so loving of these women. I love the bonds that they are forming, but also the bonds that the women are forming. This book is nothing short of a roller coaster ride. There is love, lies, deceptions, angsty familial relationships, hard truths that come to the forefront, crazy ex’s, and the plot twist. Just when you think you think you might know how things will happen, Audrey pulls a fast one. Great read! Can’t wait to read the forth story.
I voluntarily reviewed a complementary copy of this book.
First this is probably my favorite cover of all four books. It’s just so pretty 😍.
With each volume the characters development is soo good. Getting to know each couple has been great. I can’t believe that we’re almost down to the end of season one already.
While rereading this all one episode after another is reminding me of things I have forgotten and also reminding me of why I fell in love with these characters.
I’m sad that I’m heading towards the last book but also excited to see how it all ends.
Thank you Audrey and Jeananna for an ARC of this book ♥️
All the couples are in love and happy with their matches but all struggling against outside forces. The series has lost some of its shine for me, but I’m still eager to see how it all ends.
It's been interesting to find out how the characters have grown in such a short time. I like the sisters. Ruby's story is interesting. I really like the love story between Joel and Faith. What is next? P.s. This book more than the others could have done without the sex. It has become a bit redundant. Then again, the books were not intended to be binged I am sure.
The type of people that involve themselves into a marriage auction, whether they are the bidders or candidates, have absolutely wild lives. And it helps that the other is greatly involved in it. I’m a sucker for this series.
