I never believed in monsters until I fell in love with three of them. Now they belong to me.
Having my monstrous lovers to fulfill all of my sexual desires is more than I could have dreamed. Better than anything I had on Earth. However, everyone knows what they say about things that are too good to be true.
They aren't meant to last.
The Malev demons are assembling, determined to take over the entire realm. They threaten to tear apart the perfect life we've built, and they'll stop at nothing until my monsters are either subservient or eradicated.
Whoa! Scared me there for a minute. Thought you were gonna.. ya know... to... ya know... Had some heart palpitations. But we are good. I'm fine, it's fine.
It was a fantastic completion for Devyn and the guys. No matter how much she was underestimated by the men she loved she found the strength and power within herself then came in to kick ass and save the damn day! You go girl!! Oh yea... the guys helped too I guess.
Update 3/24/2023- Super excited for Part 2!! Release date scheduled for April 5th, and it can't come soon enough!! Bouncing in my seat with anticipation!!
This was amazing and mind boggling and had me in the edge of my seat… I was freaking out most the time and the other half I was biting my nails wondering what would happen next! Y’all Rafe though that shadow man came through was exactly what I wanted. Not only was he good in bed but this man really had a lot going for him. The other two still amazing as ever… the newest development with our FMC though was mind blowing I was surprised. The emotional attachment I had with these characters is crazy and I am honestly sad that it ended but it was satisfying nonetheless.
Title: A Monstrous Claim: Part 2 Author: R.K. Pierce Stars: 5/5⭐️ Spice: 4/5 🌶 Spoilers: No This Book Left Me Feeling: 🥵😲🥰🤤 Genre: Monster Romance Tropes: RH, Grumpy/Sunshine, K!nky shenanigans, 3s0me, dark themes.
My Favourite Quotes: “Whenever you close your eyes and think of me, just know I’ll be thinking about you too,” "Do these things eat a balanced breakfast of farts and rancid meat? It smells like they do."
About The Book: Part 2 of a Monster Romance duet. Devyn is happy in the monster realm but things are steadily getting more dangerous there. With the help of her men will she be able to protect her new home or are the monster's doomed to extinction at the hands of the Malev's?
What Will Stay With Me: The depth this plot developed and how I would read at least another 50 books set in this universe and not for one second be bored.
Review: My Favourite part of this story has to be how alive the world feels. Enough little hints and pieces of info are dropped to give off a sense that the plot here is just one small cog turning in the workings of a much bigger and busier universe and I love that.
I fell in love with these characters in the first book and my feelings have just gotten stronger. Devyn's drive to push herself beyond what she can realistically believe she's capable of to protect the people and place she loves is inspiring and heart wrenchingly relatable.
The main characters are all just absolutely perfect for one another and together really balance out each others rougher edges. I love that the negative parts of their character were never overlooked or shied away from, it was all embraced to make them stronger together.
Amazing read that I'd recommend to any monster romance lover and, as always, I already can't wait to read what R.K. comes up with next.
Let’s be clear: I devoured Part I of A Monstrous Claim like it was monster dick dipped in destiny—and Part II started off just as strong. We’re dropped right back into bed with Rafe (aka dominant dungeon daddy with zero emotional chill), and the tension? SCORCHING. He wants her. She wants more. And I was feral for every interaction.
But around the halfway mark, things shift. Devyn’s sent back to Earth for her safety (cue eyeroll), and suddenly it’s not romantasy anymore—it’s just pure fantasy. She’s separated from her mates, and while the plot picks up with politics, war prep, and magical tension, let’s be real: I came for the monster men, and without them, the book lost a bit of that spark for me.
That said—was it still good? Yes. I appreciated the continued world-building, the stakes, and the expansion of the Malev threat. But Devyn alone doesn’t hold my heart the way the triad of Rafe, Elio, and Azarius does. And while the final battle brought the chaos and the boys back, the ending felt abrupt. I needed more monster reunion. More claws, more claiming, more everything.
Still—this duet delivered. The emotional intensity, the plot depth, the hot-as-hell mating dynamics? All there. And now I’m not ready to let go. I’ll absolutely be picking up another book from this author, because if she built one monsterverse I’d die for, she can probably do it again.
A Monstrous Claim Part Two is the second part of the duet by R.K. Pierce.
💜 sassy FMC 💜 pending war 💜 forced proximity 💜 found family 💜 why choose 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spicy spice
We pick up where we left off in book one. Devyn is still living in the castle with Azarius, Elio, and Rafe. While play time is so much fun with Rafe, can she ever get a read on his true feelings for her? Is she just something to play with or does he truly have feelings? Also, will they ever be able to live in peace and not have to worry about Malevs? Will they always be a threat? Or will the war come to pass?
This was a really fun duet. I enjoyed watching each character’s growth in who they were and what they felt within the relationship. The side characters were also fun to get to know. If you want some monster smut but with plot, this is the duet to check out.
This is such a bittersweet review for me, because I found R.K Pierce via A Monstrous Claim Part 1, as I ARC read that, and have stayed with her since.
I was one of the people that begged hardest for a Part 2 and she gave us it, not only did she give it to us, she did it so much JUSTICE.
I honestly love these characters so so much (mainly Rafe) and to see the journey they've all come on, and not only the characters, to see the journey R.K has come on too, which you can tell through this book.
I really didn't want it to end, and now I'm begging for a lil novella because I'm just never going to be ready to say goodbye to these characters
This was an awesome conclusion. If you have not read PART 1, go back and read it!
My favorite thing is when an author continues a story, exactly where they left us to die! 🤣. Starting this book, I literally felt as if we had just turned the page to the next chapter.
I appreciated how she illustrated Devyn's growth throughout the book. Check your TW because the emotion is raw in this book. But to see our QUEEN RISE into her own...... WORTH IT.
In addition, I loved how she interconnected some of our favorite stories. I hope some of our favorites from here lead to a new series.
Absolutely hated this storyline and the FMC. It's a damsel in distress until 70% in and I would have DNF if the spice in the first 50% hadn't been amazing. Unfortunately, after 50% = 0 spice and just more of the FMC running around being a complete idiot. She was self-centered, unrelatable, dumb as a bag of rocks and I really don't see how the males put up with her. She didn't even seem to understand the concept of war. I'm just sad I read it on Kindle Unlimited bc I can't go back and read that one really good MMF spicy scene once my trial is over. It's the only redeeming quality of this book.
Part 2 was AMAZING! Even though my nerves were tore up several times while reading this book… this was the ending I needed. So glad that everything worked out the way it did for Dev and her monsters. I’m glad that at the end Dev felt empowered, that she really came into her own. That she got to see herself as something other than the “weak, damsel” she has thought herself as. Loved everything about this book. We had some heat, some bloody parts and some emotional times for sure! It was a 10/10 for me!
Part two of the story. I love that so many people loved the first part that the author decided to write this story. It takes off so after the first book so you definitely want to read in order. The battle with the malves is coming close and Devyn’s males are beyond intense in trying to protect her. But is any place really safe? Devyn’s character really grows in this one and the relationship also deepens. Plenty of danger and fighting but also lots of heat. I really am glad we get more of their story as I loved the characters and the world the author has written.
Sass, spice, and everything nice. Oh and tears. My emotions were all over the place with this book and I am super sad the story is over with. Devyn is such a strong willed sassy character that does a lot of growing in this book. Can’t really say much without giving away secrets but this is 110% worth the read if you love smutty monsters with special traits, strong FMC, and having your heart ripped out a time or two.
I really enjoyed the end of Devyn's story. I have been waiting for it and it didn't disappoint. I didn't feel like there were any slow spots and there was always something happening.
I'm going to miss Devyn, Rafe, Elio and Az. It may have been tough getting there, but they got their ending they deserved. I hope one day we can jump back into this world, because with what was revealed at the end, I can't wait for a glimpse down the road.
Devyn is still living in the castle with Azarius, Elio, and Rafe. There is a war coming and they have decided to send Devyn back to human world. She feels that she can help them even though she has some warlock magic. Tell she runs in to the warlock from the monsters land and he teaches her to use her magic. Devyn goes back with the other warlock and she helps her men take down the monsters. I loved this story so many twists and turns and in the action and so spicy.
R.K. Pierce is always amazing, but she better be writing part 3 because there’s so much to be had! I totally need to hear all about the little monster babies. This book would have been finished in a day had I not been sick. Part 1 was the first “abnormal romance” I ever read. I’m so happy there was a second. And Rafe at the end omg my whole heart melted. Not me crying over a monster. Way to go like always.

I absolutely LOVED this book! Great adventure! The only things bad I have to say is NOT ENOUGH SMUT SCENES!!! I needed so much more with these three monsters! I also need a longer ending, I am invested in this family and need to know much more of their lives and what happens next! I need a third installment!! If you haven’t read these books then you are denying yourself! Great book!
The long awaited part two. This story was definitely worth the wait and HAS to be read in order this is NOT a standalone. In book one the takes all three monsters as her mates and that she was able to make it to the monster realm because she does have some magic in her. Now in book two the war is upon them and her men want to keep her safe and there is only one way to do it in their mind…send her back til it is safe, but she has other plans after waiting for so long. She finds a way to tap into the magic and goes back to help her men. If you want to take a wild ride in learning how all this happens and what happens when she goes back and be just stunned like I was read this series.
I absolutely enjoyed this book. It was the perfect ending to the story. You definitely need to read part 1 since the story picks up right where it left off. I enjoyed the action and suspense and the spice. The chemistry between Devyn and her monsters was super hot. I loved that Devyn is a strong FMC who saves the day. I highly recommend this book.
Rating the duet together, cause they should have only been one book. I think that’s my biggest thing. This should have been one book. We didn’t get any in depth feeling for anyone in this quartet because it went from meeting. To mated. To “I’d die for you”. In literally a span of 10 minutes. Magic dick/vagina mating magic I guess.
I was captivated by this duet! Fell in love with every character and their story has everything in it you need raw emotion love spicy spice danger the unknown magic and monsters so many monsters I absolutely loved every word can't believe it's over and could go for more of these beautiful lovers in this funky realm!
This duet was okay, told from all POV. It wasn’t my idea of a reverse harem, though it technically was. The characters didn’t have a lot of depth, outside the FMC. I skimmed parts of this book because there was a lot of inner monologue that was repetitive. The ending felt rushed. I would have liked to see a better epilogue and wrap up after all the drama and discovery.
Before this book was released(no arcs were even sent) a reviewer troll rated this book a two-star to clearly bring this author down. R. K. Pierce is an amazing author and person. You won't regret reading her books and I hope you enjoy them when decide to pick one up!!
Action, story, spice this book was perfect. I don’t want to give too much away but if you like monster romance, why choose, action and adventure with spice then make sure to start with book one.
Wooooweeee! What a book! Starts off seamlessly from book 1 and gets right into the steam 🥵 Loving the chemistry between Dev and the monsters. There was tons of action and suspense and the perfect amount of spice! The ending was absolutely perfect!
NGL, I was full of anxiety. Why? cause I kept worrying about characters and at the edge of my seat! it's good! looove the heat, Pierce doesn't disappoint.
I want to say more but I feel like I would spoil the story if I do. It's a must to read part 1. it's a great steamy fantasy romance
Amazing continuation of A monstrous claim storyline with a super fiery spicy mmmf mixup magic monsters and fantasy galore with a sweet romantic and forceful trio of monsters ready to claim their mate
Please check CW and TW. The way this book had me in its hold!!! The way Denyn developed in this book I was here for all of it. Total kick butt love her.
