2.75⭐, but rounding it down
This installment was promising, a much better story than the previous one in the series, but failed to nail it near the end. Way too OTT and ridiculous, which ruined it.

I actually liked the daddy/boy dynamic in this one, it felt very natural and the main characters fit right into it.
Asa is a femboy and Rip is an Army Sergeant, so they hook up after meeting at a bar and they really click.
I personally love feminine men, Asa was just up my alley, I liked his clothes and I liked him snuggling up to the burly Sergeant in the morning.
I didn't like the insta-love part though, everything was great until the ridiculous i-love-you-and-i'm-gonna-marry-you-after-one-week part, that was just crazy, not to mention the same damn thing of them getting married at the courthouse the next day and moving abroad.

"I beamed at him. “It doesn’t bother you I like girly things?”"
Since when are getting a mani and a pedi "girly things"?
How often does this author use these services? Because everytime I go, 3/4 of the clients are male.
Last time I went there was a big buff tattooed guy on the chair beside me getting his full pedi with the oils and the massage. So I don't know man, calling it girly is a stretch, most people like their nails done, it's basic upkeep. 🤷
This couple had real potential. I liked the femboy and the good sex. Other than that it's not a good story overall, needed more development and originality.

The Slice of Forever series is the PERFECT Thanksgiving treat! These novellas are so cute and spicy! These get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!
Each of these books is about 30 pages so they’re a fantastic quick read. Even though they’re short, they each convey a sweet love story. They also connect with one another so it’s fun to see previous couples make appearances later on!

A wonderfully short story! Asa and Rip meet one night at the bar where Asa works and are immediately drawn to one another. This story is a quick rendition of their whirlwind week together while Rip is on military leave visiting his Grandma before being stationed in Germany.
Great read if you’re looking for something quick, short, steamy, and zero angst - just instalove mastery! I enjoyed this story!.

This is a short and steamy MM romance with strong characters and an entertaining storyline. The author packs a ton in this insta love quickie. He paints his scenes perfectly and delivers a great novella.

Asa works at a restraint when Rip walks in and changes his life forever.
I devoured this book in less than 10 minutes, not just because its short, but also because its just so good. Rip and Asa are a cute couple that have that dom/sub vibe, and I loved that Rip was described as a growly man while Asa was described as innocent. That pairing makes for some great steamy scenes, and that is exactly what happened in this book.
The story felt rushed. It was supposed to be a quick read, but it still felt like everything was moving at high speed and like I was missing parts of the story.

Asa works at a diner and lives alone. Picture a young poor, working guy just trying to make a living in a small town. Loves girly things.

Rip is in the military and visiting his grandmother for Thanksgiving before moving to Germany. He meets Asa at a local 24 hour diner/bar, and they immediately hit it off. They have a passionate night together and can’t get enough of each other, but they know that Rip’s time in the town is short. Their path to a HEA is fast and an enjoyable read. This author is a really good writer, able to convey a lot of information in just a few words. As with the first one, I wish it were longer but the story is supposed to be short. I will look for other stories from this author that are longer and hope to see longer MM stories from them in the future.

This author successful packs a punch with this short, steamy read. Asa is sassy and full of spice. Rip is a growly bear of a man with his sights on sweet little thing Asa. They have a whirlwind romance full of hot, sexy times. Unfortunately, Rip has to go back on active duty, but the promise of his return have them declaring big feelings, even though it has been such a short time since they first got together.
I really loved this book. I enjoyed the differences between the MC's and even though the book is over quickly, the author paints a vivid picture of lust and insta-love. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Asa is an anomaly in a small town when Rip shows up late one night on his way to visit his Granny. Asa has a thing for big burly men and Rip has a thing for a certain girly twink. In an instant they are both falling and falling hard. The issue is Rip is on his way to Germany for 9 months and Asa has abandonment issues. But he has Rip's Granny to keep him company while he waits for Rip to come back. Rip comes back to get Asa and his Granny and to keep the promise he made.

This was a real sweet and short steamy story in the “Slice of Forever” series and the second one. I understand 3 books have been written in this series and I certainly hope there’ll be more stories in the series!!! West, hint, hint, hint!

They hit it off and he went home with Asa. I think I’ll stop right here and have you pick up the short story and read to find out what happens! It’s a sweet story with no climax or antithesis whatsoever.

This is book number 2 of the Slice of Forever series and focuses on Rip and Asa. Rip is in the Army and was in town to visit his grandmother before he got shipped out to Germany. While he was in town, he met Asa and fell completely head over heels for his pretty boy. I love how Rip and Asa fell instantly for each other and were immediately all in. Rip was so protective and caring towards Asa. They were absolutely perfect for each other. This was a great story and a great addition to the series!

Totally intense! Rip, comes to town to visit his GrandMa before he deploys. He meets Asa when he stops in to get a drink. They recognize something in each other that calls to their soul. The author, does an excellent job letting us see and feel the deep connection between these two. Asa is an adorable man and Rip is pretty awsome. I would have liked to read more about their adventures. Good story. This is a feel good book, that I can read over and over. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

- jumping straight in with sex scenes! and they’re v good
- this one was so instalove lmao
- again these are very hard to rate because it’s not really anything
- they were super cute tho!
- spend a week with each other, leave for Germany for 9 months, come back and get married… sure
- this one is only getting 2 stars because the set up was so quick! it made sense in the one before because they were already friends/in love

This second short in the 'Slice of forever' series was just right for me. Asa and Rip their story has just the right length to tell it all. Once again one of the boys find an insta attraction and love which solified, after nine months of long distance, with a marriage and move abroad with Asa his Gran in tow. Cute, sweet and uncomplicated read.

This spicy short was a fun read. Two completely opposites had that instant attraction which I loved. Rip kept it one hundred from the get go...no playing games with him...He wanted Asa...he was keeping Asa...Asa such a femme , sassy boy had to learn to trust his new "daddy"...all I know is, Rip came thru for his pretty boy and they will be having a wonderful HEA.

I loved the quick connection that Asa and Rip had. Rip knew in his heart that he couldn't let the opportunity pass for Asa to be in his life even though he had to leave.

I always LOVE West Greene books! This one though it is steamy and the whole book is sooo good!!! Once again West Greene has killed it with another short story! I absolutely loved the characters and how the whole story played out! And such an amazing ending for Asa and Rip!
