Marshal Joshua Warrix lives a peaceful life in the town of Dakota City. His quiet life changes one day when four men rob the town's only bank, killing the bank president and one of the tellers, his sister Mae. Warrix sets off on a one-man quest to bring justice to the men responsible. He will avenge the death of his only sibling if it takes him the rest of his life. The rest of the marshal's life could be a short one considering what he's up against. He finds there is a fine line separating grief and vengeance. It's a line he's more than willing to cross.
This author is new to me, but I liked the synopsis of the book so, I downloaded it. It is good. The characters are strong, funny, many are likeable, the deputy is a hoot, and the action is believable. There are some grammatical errors because spell check only recognizes words, not context. Recommend.
Well written with a great storyline. There was very little in the way of idle reading. Good men always trying do the right things and evil villains getting their due.
Generally I like the plot. Character development was kind of missing, but maybe was not needed. Lots of twist and turns that keeps you wondering. Was a rather abrupt ending though, like the author just ran out of steam but generally I really liked it.
This book was very well written. Interesting from the first word to the last. Good characters and a good story. What's sad is there are lots of people just like these evil men still around. Let's just hope there's a Marshal Warrix hunting them down.
Very exciting novel, great action and some interesting characters. I truly enjoyed this Western, and plan to read more by this author. I highly recommend it.
