When an armored car heist turns into a bloody and grisly crime scene. Federal agent Blake Wilder is sent to Philadelphia to track down the culprits. But there’s more to this militantly precise and violent crew than meets the eye...
As the death count rises and the case takes an even more violent turn, it becomes clear that there is more to these robberies than initially believed. The crew is eerily good, and after repeatedly failing to bring them down Blake faces one last chance to stop them from pulling off the heist of the century.
Having to juggle her attention between a psychopath that has fixated all their attention on her and one of the biggest cases of her career. Blake faces the impossible task of keeping from being a victim herself.
Elle Gray lives in a small town with her 2 cats, and her handsome husky. As a girl, she was obsessed with crime novels and thrillers.
Today, she loves writing and creating thrilling novels with courageous, strong heroes/heroines and dangerous psychopaths. She invites you to join her exciting world of detectives and FBI agents that take down killers and kick butt.
Rounded up to 3 stars, but definitely NOT my favorite in the series! I feel like Blake took 14 steps backwards in this one, she had to explain all the procedures and such of every situation. That would make sense if we were in book 1 still but this was book 15. By the time the action picked up Blake found herself in hot water because she doesn’t “play Politics”. I’m trying to convince myself to read book 16, that’s kinda how much of a let down this one was.
This story was a great addition to this fantastic series, and I hope that there will be many more stories to come! I was hooked from the beginning of this series. I really enjoyed the characters, the witty banter, crazy antics, drama, mystery, suspense, and the intriguing cases. It's certainly a must read series for those who love thrillers. This particular story had a lot of interesting details, developments, as well as heartbreaking situations that drew sympathy towards the criminals. It was an intense and intriguing story until the end, which may or may not be over. It looks like the next book is going to be another complex story, and I can't wait for it's release! I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

The Heist by Elle Gray is the 15th book in The Blake Wilder FBI series. I cam across this Author by accident and I can say I am enjoying this series very much. Most all the book are fast paced and full of drama. The books all center around Blake Wilder who became an agent to combat crime and find the people responsible for killing her parents and taking her little sister when she was a young teen. She is the type of agent who doesn't play politics and it gets her on the wrong side of a lot of powerful people. I think if you enjoy fast paced drama and a kick ass heroin you will enjoy this series. I highly recommend this series
Once again Blake and her team are deployed to help catch a Rip Team. You know our intrepid FBI agent detests politicking, yet she runs right into it. This was a fast paced case with a worthy and deadly opponent. While her past has been put to rest and she and her sister have been reunited, she learns there is a new threat on her horizon, someone who wants her to play their game. Finishing this book, the last in the Blake Wilder series, I will have to wait for Ms Gray’s to write the next adventure.
i really do like this series but at times find them way too long and honestly, how is it that Blake is always being the target of all these crazies. I hope the next book, gives us a good case but finally less Blake drama and just case file action... plus, I keep waiting for her sister Kit to join in some way. With all these people gunning for her, she should retire from the FBI and open her own company with Kit... I'd like to see what kind of great adventures they would get into by those that would hire them... just a thought.
A really interesting story about a crew of men over a ten year run of stealing expensive items and selling them to get the money. Blake and team headed to Philadelphia to catch people doing the crime however they were well trained and easily caught them off guard and stole what they wanted without being caught. The team came up with a plan and was successful in getting the crew to attempt to pull off another job just to find out they were caught. Four out of six members died but two are still out there. enjoyed the book.
Blake’s new case is full of suspense and surprises
The team is back to work heading to Philadelphia, they have been called in to take care of a case that another team couldn’t handle. With this, Blake and CSA Montgomery butt heads on how to move forward. The storyline is great, fast paced and full of all the action Blake and her crew are known for. But trouble always seems to follow Blake leading her into more turmoil.
Another great read. Start to finish in the dark. Road blocks left and right. The team stays on course. The LEO's are more help than the Phillie fbi boss. Most to the problem I see. The team works through the problem but, not without ramifications. Blake gets set up for problems due to politics. Need to read on to see how it comes out.
The Blake Wilder series is my favorite series of Elle Gray's books. I never get tired of reading these mysteries. I will admit that this one tended to drag a bit in the middle, but on the whole, it was still a great addition to the series. I received an advanced review copy of this book for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
The Heist(Blake Wilder FBI Mystery Thriller Book 15)
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved this book. It was amazing, it had everything, politics, murder, robbery and a sycopath threatening Blake. Now she also has to worry about the captain from the group that was committing all the crimes hunting her as well.
I enjoyed this book as I have the previous issues. Great characters and plots. A bit of a spoiler so stop reading if you want.much of the plot and character interaction reminds me a lot of the movie "Heat" . The book however takes it much further with more sub plots.
This Blake Wilder book was exciting and a page turner. I found the characters that Blake came in contact both intimidating and gutsy. Elle Gray does a very good job bringing all the characters to life off the pages. I avidly await the next Blake novel. Thank you for a wonderful read.
Fast paced and anxiety producing, this story was one of the better of the series. High tech ex militia gang carves a deadly swath through the city of brotherly love, with the feds one step behind. And then comes the cavalry, with agent Wilder and her team leading the way. Taught, tense and well done…..and the series continues. Liking this author more and more.
This story did a great job of bringing me back into the fold of Blake Wilder’s FBI cases. The primary story along with the engaging subplot combined to give a story that is hard to put down. I highly recommend this book!! Thank you for another great book in this series 📚
I can't wait for Ms Gray's next installment of Blake Wilder. Of all her characters I enjoy Blake the most. Just the right amount of twists and turns and it never ceases to amaze me how other people climb the ladder at work with someone else's hard work. Great job Ms Gray keep them coming.
I'm very glad I read the first Blake wilder adventure and #15 is even more addicting. The action is beginning to end and ramping u p higher every time. I wondered what was going to fill the void when the Thirteen was taken down . MS Grey does not disappoint. I read this in a day. I'll bet you will too.
I really like the Blake Wilder series, keeps you on the edge of your seat as always. I love the boldness and bravery of the character. Just a little suggestion if you don't mind, please put some romance in your books. The Olivia Knight series had me thinking that perhaps we might even get a kiss, but that did not happen. Blake needs love in her life
Blake finds herself challenged in this story by a group of ex military whom are proficient in their heists. Elle Gray throws in a fun twist when Blake finally meets up with the Captain whom is mysterious and sexy. Does he sidetrack her? Read and find out if she and her team are able to capture and put to rest the heists that are wreaking havoc in Philly.
I wish there was length taken up with story instead of descriptions. Does every room, buildings, person and place need a two to three paragraph description? I now read a sentence, then look for and read between the quotes. Every person is height, size, hair color, eye coordination and if the are bright or flat, and sometimes what they are wearing.
Another action packed, page turner! This is an awesome series! Blake has been promoted but she still has her team and they are after a very precise team that has robbed a rare jewel & coin collection, and an armored truck, killing 2 & wounding 1. Blake & her team are trying to figure out who they are & where will they hit next!
The Blake Wilder Mystery books are really fascinating. I am usually not into mystery books, after a while they all seem too much alike and I lose interest. Not so with these books, Elle Gray knows how to keep it interesting and it makes me chuckle when the boss lady is accused of being clueless about men.
Each book in this series just keeps getting more intense! Love how Elle Gray keeps the reader wondering about Blake's future right up until the last page! I can't stop with this book, must go on to the next one! Cleaning the house will have to wait yet again.
It is amazing how Blake can even enjoy a day in her life with her mind being pulled in so many directions. Talk about Multitasking, this woman is handling so many cases at a time that I don’t know how she can ever sleep or rest peacefully. She is definitely Super Woman.
3.5 stars rounded up. Normally I finish the books in these series in two days max, usually less, but this one was just hard for me to get through for some reason. It was a good plot but it just didn’t do it for me like all its predecessors. That said, I’m glad that we have a new mystery building with each book after the Thirteen was taken down.
Love this series and am looking forward to many new additions! Fifteen books is just not enough! I have enjoyed every character within the books and am chomping at the bit for more!
Can these thrillers keep getting better and better? Yes I believe so I can't get enough of Blake Wilder and her team! I love this series so much! Thank you for the enjoyment Elle 🙂
Another well written book in the Blake Wilder series. I enjoyed reading all of the twist & turns of the storyline. Looking forward to finding out the details of the package she received.
