As a couple, they enjoy mentoring couples who are preparing for marriage or wanting to improve their marriage. They have seen, again and again, that even in the toughest circumstances, God is faithful to do the "heavy lifting" in bringing health and healing to a marriage when the couple is willing to surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Kim is on staff at a church in a role where her genuine love for people intersects with her passion for processes, systems, and details. She loves strong coffee, beautiful words, and spending quality time with her family.

Kim Perry’s The Secret Is In Surrender beautifully applies the Fruit of the Spirit to building a God-honoring, joy-filled marriage. It’s an ideal read for newlyweds as well as couples further along in their journey. I especially appreciated the combination of deep biblical insight and relatable personal stories that bring her message to life. Mrs. Perry gently but powerfully encourages readers to surrender to the Holy Spirit first, offering a heartfelt invitation to walk more closely with Christ. I am also very impressed with the Gospel presentation that is included in her work. I’m looking forward to future books by Mrs. Perry!

Wonderful reflections and encouragement on applying the fruit of the Spirit to our marriages (though it got me thinking about friendships and other relationships as well!). Relatable personal experiences and sound biblical wisdom throughout. Thank you, Kim! 💕

Kim’s words are a gift to all dating, engaged, and married (and even those who desire to be married one day) people. Her encouragement and challenges come from her personal experience and deep knowledge of the Lord and the Bible. She speaks from the heart with humility. I found myself smiling, laughing, and reflecting throughout the entire book. This book is a quick read that will point readers back to Christ and his design for marriages. Highly recommended!

This book is such a blessing! Jesus teaches us we will know by the fruit (Matthew 7:16). This book teaches us all about the fruit of the spirit and how to apply each one to our relationships. Although Kim wrote this on marriage, it’s definitely a guide to how we can apply the fruit to all relationships to be more meaningful.

What a joy to read Kim’s words and reflect on the Fruit of a marriage that surrenders to the Spirit. Her words are thoughtful, her stories are real and relatable, and her desire to see healthy Christ-filled marriages is evident. This book will bless your marriage!

This book was written by a dear friend, mentor, and former co-worker of mine. Such a good read for someone who is searching for a biblically based reflection on marriage!
