First time reading a book by Olivia Reign and totally loved it. She brought the characters to life. Once I started reading about Brayden, his PTSD, and Jaz, with her feelings about her social work and feelings for Brayden I could not put it down. I want to read more about Brayden’s brothers Wyatt and Colt (triplets) and how they met their wives. The authors plot lines, romance, suspense, are so well written, with just the right amount of steam have you wanting to read more. I highly recommend reading this book. I am definitely looking for more of the author’s books.
I received an advance copy for leaving a honest review.
Mystery and suspense run wild, when Brayden Walker returns home from his last tour of the Afghanistan desert. He soon comes in contact with old friend, and love that should have never been as Jasmine has only ever brought him guilt. He promised her father, he would always protect her from deadbeats, and what did he do, but turn around using her for his own good. Jasmine has been in love with Brayden for years, but Brayden was so stuck in his own mind, he could never see it. All he knew was, he could not stay away from her. Some very major things happened right after, he returned home with Jasmine asking for his help with some of the foster children. Especially, one in particular who was getting into fights that had shown some interest in cowboys so Jasmine asked Brayden if he would mind showing some of the kids around the ranch. That caused Jasmine and Brayden to spend more time together. Next Jasmine's apartment flooded leaving her homeless for an indefinite period of time. Who else would she turn to, but the Walker Brothers she grew up with for lodging. The only one that had an available bed seemed to be Brayden so Clay and Wyatt set her up in his unit. Brayden was not real happy at this point, because he was trying to keep his distance from Jasmine with his feelings and all, along with his PTSD that his family did not know about. He thought maybe he was starting to get a handle on some of this stuff. When somebody started texting him about an incident that happened two years prior in the service, and he was being very creepy about it. Just who was this person and what did they want? Enjoy this edge of your chair suspense filled romance with lots of action, mystery, and intrigue. Highly recommend.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. What really hit me as I read it is the author mentioning that the hero, Brayden’s, condition, besides PTSD, was called genius autism. He learned subjects quickly and rapidly processed complex information. He also had sensory sensitivity, getting overwhelmed by things he felt and people’s emotions. I have heard the sensory sensitivity term applied to my grandson who is 4. He is not autistic on any scale for which we are grateful, but he used to get overwhelmed by so much stimulation (the zoo, a store, etc.) mainly because he spent so much time at home as he was born just before the pandemic. I digress. I was surprised but happy that the author would address such a condition, because I believe it is more prevalent than we might think.
Brayden is a hero, a protector, much like the knights of old. I believe he doesn’t see himself in the traditional family man role, even though he seems to have grown up in one. His high school tryst with Jaz made him guilty so he ignored her for 10 years. How did that make her feel? Brayden felt he had betrayed Jaz’s dad, his mentor. Brayden took on the guilt of the world.
When Brayden gets home for good Jaz is there. Does she want him? Does he want her? Is he good enough for her? Could he keep her safe?
What are these threats he’s receiving? Blackmail? This book has romance drama and suspense drama. It was hard to put down. I want to read this author’s other books too.
Captivating Post |Military Romance I loved each book in this series, but Brayden’s story is definitely my favorite. He has returned home after an honorable discharge from the military. No one in his hometown knows the full horror of his time in Helmand, Afghanistan. They do not need to know about his PTSD medication and biweekly shrink appointments either. He does not expect to see Jasimine Sloane, the feisty daughter of his old mentor Hugh, after all this time. When he does the world stands still. For eleven years, he has forced himself not to think of her. He still wants her, but nothing about him is suitable for her and even worse he made her old man a promise. It would be best if they just stay friends and no one needs to know the secret they share. For Jaz seeing Brayden is like a spotlight flicking alive in a dark room. She is not going to let things lie. This is an intriguing steamy second chance friends to lovers romance with blackmail, danger and much more intertwined making it very hard to put down. It is a stand-a-lone with no cliffhanger, but would definitely recommend reading each of the Walker Brother’s stories. Loved catching up with them all in this book. I received an ARC of this book from the author in return for voluntarily writing an honest review.
Brayden and Jasmine are an entertaining couple as they find their way to each other. Brayden and Jaz have history and have always cared for each other but when Brayden returns home things get interesting real quick between these two. Unable to stay away from each other but Brayden dealing with the promise to her father, his PTSD and a threats from an unknown source is uncertain in the beginning if a relationship between them is a good idea and fair to her. Fun scenes in the way that his brothers and their wives find out about Brayden and Jaz. The conversation between the brothers is truly heartwarming.
Jasmine refuses to give up on Brayden and doesn't back down when he tries to push her away. Bring on the drama and angst during these scenes. As Jaz brings one of her kids that she sees during her social work Tobey to the farm to learn about being a cowboy cue the feels as she watches Brayden work with Tobey.
As the drama with the person threatening Brayden comes to a head, you really can feel the emotions between these two. This is one read that once you start it you won't want to put it down until you finish it. I loved the ending, absolutely awesome!! Olivia Reign has brought us another phenomenal read with these brothers!!
Brayden and Jasmine had one brief encounter many years ago before he left to go into the army. He also made her dad a promise that he would look after her. They've both been in love with each other for years, but really haven't had a name or a place for the feelings since they were not together. When Brayden returns to work the ranch with his brothers following his Army discharge, they almost immediately pick up where they left off, even though they tried really hard not to. Jaz's apartment is flooded and she has to move into the spare room in the apartment where Brayden is living. Soon they are spending a lot of time together and thinking they are keeping their relationship a secret (it's not, everyone knows, even though they think they are being discreet). Everyone is happy for them and they are too, so they decide to give being together a try. Brayden suffers from PTSD and needs to work on getting his head straight, but Jaz confirms she's in this for as long as he'll have her. Just when everything seems to be going great, Brayden starts getting mysterious texts and calls. He is worried for his safety, and then Jaz's when his truck explodes when they are on a date. Can Brayden figure out who is behind all this before it's too late?
Back from the military, and carrying around his own personal bundle of horrors, Brayden is now home and has to face another issue that he had been putting off for ten years. A broken promise and his own desires. Jaz is now dealing with the fact that the man her heart has always been set on is back, but is under the misguided notion that he is not good enough for her. Now the two of them are dealing with feelings past and present when an unexpected foe comes in to place that could blow up everything for them. The characters in this story are skillfully done. Especially, Brayden. It shows what he is having to deal with in adjusting to being home as well as dealing with everything that he brought back with him from the military. Jaz is a wonderful support system that looks at things as they are. These two address an very real issue for military members and the ones around them. The story has a natural flow, without coming off as overly dark or angsty with the emotional turmoils that are brought into play. Olivia Reign has a marvelous ability to address this issue as it is without dwelling on just the negative aspects. Great read full of a few unexpected surprises. I received an advanced copy of this book and I voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Brayden and Jasmine (Jaz) are meant to be together, but his promise to her father and his decade plus stint in the military have kept them apart. Now he is struggling to transition back to civilian life with PTSD and a stalker. His conscience tells him to stay away from Jaz, but there is still an powerful pull toward her that he can’t resist. She has always had his heart, and the chemistry between them is hot and intense. Jaz has never forgotten Brayden or how he has always made her feel. She knows that her heart has been waiting for him to return and that they could be great together if he would just forget the promise to her father and let her in under the guards he has erected to protect himself. As his stalker escalates his attack and demands, Brayden finally lets Jaz get close, if only to protect her. Will they finally get a chance at a future together?
This book has just the right mix of romance, spicy encounters, angst and suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed it and want to read more books by this author. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Rekindling A Love That Never Dwindled - Brayden and Jasmine had one mind blowing night, he run away to join the army the next day. Unfortunately, when he was honourably discharged due to his near death episode, he returned with PTSD and other issues, which made him question his reignited affection for Jasmine. However, the heart wants what it wants and he finally acknowledged he could no longer resist her. Just as they embark on a relationship, an incident from his past reeks havoc and endangers their lives, but he does everything within his power to get them back on their path to a happily ever after.
I really enjoyed reading this amazing story from start to finish. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough, as I was rooting for them to get together and I also wanted to find out who was being their troubles and the Pearson’s reason for going after them. The storyline has enough twists, drama, angst and suspense, to keep you surprised and captivated as you turn the pages. This book is a definite must read.

Brayden is home from his last tour in Afganistan, he ends up bumping into Jasmine, an ex lover and friend. He promised her father that he would look out for her and has always felt guilty for sleeping with her and ended up ignoring her afterwards. Jasmine has been in love with Brayden for years, when he returns she asks him to help her out with some foster kids she is responsible for. But Brayden is suffering with PTSD and then starts receiving blackmail threats about an incident from years ago while he was serving. Will Brayden be able to find out who is sending the messages before its too late.
This is a friends to lovers, second chance romance story. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

This is a great addition to the Second Chance Military Romance series. In this story we have Brayden a recent retired Army Major who has moved up the ranks pretty quickly. Brayden returns home with PTSD and working on his family ranch with his brothers, Colt and Wyatt. Brayden is nervous when he sees Jaz at his welcome home party. These two had spent one night together prior to Brayden leaving for the army so when they meet again their feelings are strong and Jaz tells Brayden what he means to her. Jaz is a social worker and she helps Brayden deal with his demons and they become a couple filled with ups and downs especially when a man from Brayden’s past brings trouble and danger their way. Brayden does what is necessary in order to protect Jaz and they are given the opportunity to move on together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Brayden has returned home from the military and has PTSD. Jasmine was his first love and is still his love. Yet he feels guilt thinking he failed her. Ten years he never wrote her a letter or checked on her like he promised her father we would. Now he is home, his feelings are still there and when they finally think they can have it all someone from his past starts threatening his future. This is such a well written story, Olivia knows how to write them and I think this might be my favorite of the Walker brothers. I cannot wait for more books from her. Great read.

Good book and addition to series. Brayden is home from a deployment in Afghanistan. He is suffering from PTSD and guilt. Jax is also back in town working as a social worker. Their history is complicated so neither of them is sure where they stand. She asks him to mentor a troubled teen. Her apartment is flooded so she moves into Brayden’s spare bedroom and things heat up between them. Someone from his past starts texting with threats. How can he keep everyone he loves safe? *Adult situations and language.

Wow, this book will have you on the edge and you won't be able to put it down!!!! Brayden and Jasmine have a past from 10 yrs ago. But Brayden joined the army and left her straight away. After he comes back broken from the army he promises her father he will take care of her. But their chemistry is too hot to handle. He doesn't think he deserves her and she never stopped loving him. Lines blur and things get hot and Steamy. When Brayden thinks he can have a future his past comes to destroy on thing he loves, Jasmine. Can he save Jasmine and have a life with her or will he have to succumb to the blackmailer and lose Jasmine for good. This was an amazing read and I highly recommend it.
Brayden is returning home being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving 10 years with 3 tours of duty in Afghanistan. Brayden's physical wounds are mostly healed but he is suffering with PTSD. Brayden sees Jasmine, the girl he left behind, at his home coming BBQ and tries to stay away from her. Jasmine is like part of the family and her father asked him to look out for her, which means Jasmine is off limits no matter how he feels.
Will Braden find it difficult to reacclimate to civilian life? How will Brandon deal with his feelings for Jasmine? Will Brayden and/or Jasmine have a HEA?
This is such a brilliant read. Brayden and Jasmine have known each other since they were kids but after one night together he left to join the army. Ten years later and Brayden is back and the feelings and chemistry are still there between him and Jaz but with his PTSD he doesn't think that he is good enough for her. Just as they are working through it someone from his past is out to get him. Will he be able to find out who it is before anything bad happens. So much drama and suspense but also plenty of love. Absolutely loved the ending. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
I loved this second chance military romance and knew as soon as I started reading I wouldn't be able to put the book down until I read the last word with unforgettable characters and a story that was emotional, suspenseful, heartwarming and steamy. I enjoyed the off-the-charts chemistry between veteran cowboy Hayden Walker and social worker Jaz Stone and was rooting for them. Ms. Reign never disappoints whatsoever and if you want to read a well written, can't put down contemporary cowboy romance, don't miss Broken Cowboy's Promise. I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review.
Brayden and Jaz have loved each other since they were teenagers, but Brayden needed to get away after getting out of high school. Brayden came back after ten years of being away in the military. The chemistry between him and Jaz is still electric but Brayden has PTSD and doesn’t want to burden Jaz with his struggles. Jaz knows that Bray is to r man for her and eventually convinced him that he is he man for her and that he is worthy of her love despite his issues. This was a good friends to lovers story. I really enjoyed it. 4.5 stars
Jas and Brayden have been sweet on each other since they were at school together. One night of hot sex and Brayden joins up to find his place in the world. Move on ten years and he's home with PTSD and a dangerous stalker. Can they navigate all their issues to the relationship they deserve? This is an action packed steamy love story. Olivia knows how to write fantastic romance. This is part of a series but is a standalone with no cliffhangers and HEA.

Brayden and Jasmine This book is very emotional and has a lot I character. We have romance, suspense, crazy stalker, a hero that thinks he is ever enough... Wow so much hotness and Sweetness. Brayden is back in town and his childhood crush is there too. He feels guilty because her dad was his mentor and he told him to stay away but he always liked her. Now do many years and trauma has passed that he thinks he isn't worthy. Then to add to it he has s stalker. Such a great story. I really enjoyed it.
5 out of 5 stars. I loved how the author told Brayden & Jaz's story. They have history & the flames of desire are still there 11 years later. Brayden tries to keep Jaz at arms length due to his PTSD but this time she is not backing down & will fight tooth & nail to stay by his side. Will Brayden & Jaz get a second chance at love when a dangerous blackmailer has his sights set on Brayden?.

Brayden and Jaz have know each other for years. Brayden has been fighting his feeling for Jaz for years after he made a promise to her father to look after her. He left for the military and she went off to college. It's been 10 years since they’ve seen each other but the feelings are still there. Jaz is convinced they're meant to be together but can she convince Brayden that his PTSD isn't a reason to stay away. Steamy, fast paced story, I'm definitely going to find Brayden's brothers stories.

Brayden and Jaz's story drew me in instantly. Promising her father he would protect her from deadbeats and such, after having a steamy night with Jaz, and then running away to the military, Brayden has a lot to come to grips with when he retuens home years later. While helping Jaz with some of the kids she works with, and dealing with his PTSD, Brayden also has to let Jaz in to protect her from someone trying to cause trouble. Forced proximity, second chance, post military, and happy ever after make this a wonderful read that I definitely recommend!
A very good storyline with danger, suspense, a military man with PTSD, promises made, and rekindling with a best friend forever. Brayden is back home and trying to re-acclimate to civically life. He hadn’t spoken to his best friend, Jasmine, in 10 years. Brady promised her dad he would look after her and protect her, but failed to do that. Then the blackmail starts and lives are threatened, can Brayden protect those he loves? The characters were believable and intriguing. Loved this book.

I enjoyed this book, it held my attention and was well written. This Second Chance romance could be triggering to some, the main male character is just discharged from the military and it does talk about some flashbacks he has of his time in the military and does talk about his PTSD.
I loved the chemistry between them. I loved that she never gave up on him and supported him. I loved that he was so protective of her and his quick thinking helped him to be able to be there for her when she needed him most.
This was a great suspence, second chance romance. That's a new genera for me, but I have to say I loved it! Brayden and Jaz's story was a really god one, I was enjoying the romance aspect but I was also on the edge of my seat for the suspense of it too. I think the author did great job with this book and I will for sure be reading more books by Olivia Regn. I highly recommend this book. 10/10.

Brayden and Jaz, (Jasmine), have been friends forever. Brayden has been gone in the military for 10 years and they have not seen each other. A lot has changed. Olivia Reign as usual gives us another great story. She combines romance with something else to give us an interesting story line. I literally could not stop reading this book, I enjoyed it so much.
