Aspiring country singer Hayley Ford made a promise to herself.
One shot.
One last chance to make a name for herself and chase her dreams before she succumbs to a boring life that leaves her unsatisfied. Local singing show, Tennessee Talent, is her lifeline, but one serendipitous encounter with Kris Topaz, the mystery judge for the season, threatens to undo everything she’s worked for.
No one knows they’ve met before, and if the producers find out it will mean the end of her time on the show. Hayley has to stay away from Kris if it’s the last thing she does.
The problem is, despite everything at stake… she can’t help but want to know him.
Self-proclaimed romance junkie. Lover of music. Too invested in the lives of fictional characters. Bestselling author Lexi Kingston has been enamored by fictional worlds since she was a child. She became obsessed with the allure of crafting characters people could relate to.
Lexi writes sweet, no spice contemporary romance (Lexi Kingston) and paranormal romance (Lexi J. Kingston) books with characters who fight for and find home in each other.
When she’s not plotting or writing, she’s likely submerged in a book. And when she’s not reading… well, she’s probably writing again because she’s a workaholic who loves her job.
Captivating. Kept my attention and loved the interaction and respect the characters had for each other. Proves a book can be great without steamy trash.
Pretty good book. It is the typical romance story. I started with this one. This is a series, so I will definitely backtrack and read from the beginning. I like that this book gives an insight as to the workings of voice competition and complications that can occur with relationships within.
