WILLFUL WINTER - Scarlett Scott has turned up the the heat in another Winter story! All of the Winter siblings have been such fun & each one is unique in their own way. Rand, Viscount Aylesford, is know around society as a handsome rake that the ladies are mad about - he is arrogant, full of humor, & heir to the financially healthy Duke of Revelstoke title. His only problem, his grandmother, the dowager duchess had a stipulation that he would not be given Tyre Abbey the wealthy Scottish estate until he was betrothed. Rand needs to find a faux fiancée & he has just the lady picked out, Grace Winter.
Grace Winter is the most opinionated & stubborn of the Winter sisters - her brother Dev, has declared that she & her sisters must marry noblemen to bring their family in to acceptance by the Ton since their money has been earned as very successful merchants. She has set her mind to avoid becoming a nobleman's wife - especially the arrogant Viscount Aylesford & she would definitely not become his feigned betrothed. Until he kissed her! The bantering, humor, blackmail, jealousy, romance, discovery, spicy lovemaking & a HEA make this a most enjoyable story with loyal sisters helping out & many other secondary characters adding to this wonderful couple's story.
WAGERED IN WINTER - What a wonderful & hot way to spend on a Winter's day! This hero will make you swoon & the heroine stands by her dreams to the end. As a second son & a well earned reputation as a rakehell, Lord Ashley "Ash" Rawdon is extremely content with his life but now he has found himself at a country house party. His brother, Gill, the Duke of Coventry has been painfully shy all of his life due to his past mistreatment by their deceased father & Ash has always helped him in social situations. Now Ash has agreed to help Gill find a wealthy wife to help bring the dukedom back from their wastrel father's ruin & he is so positive he can maneuver the lady right into his brother's arms they make a wager on his success - until he finds out his brother's choice is Miss Prudence Winter, who is obstinate. argumentative & oh so tempting.
Prudence "Pru" has no use for the handsome rogues, such as Lord Ashley but she does appreciate his sophisticated, handsome looks & the way her heart flutters when he is near. She, however; has her own plans for her life. She does not want a husband & enjoys the thought of freedom to do what she wants with her inheritance. She wants to return to spend time with the children at the hospital her brother patronizes & begin to build her own foundling hospital. Ash & Pru have a relationship for the ages - he goes from a rake of the worst kind to falling so hard it made my eyes water & she changes from the eldest sister & mother figure to her sisters to a lady who is tired of being boring & wants to have some fun. Ash will not give up his single life & Pru will not let go of her dreams of the foundling hospital - who will win, or will they both lose?
WILD IN WINTER - Scarlett Scott has written such great stories to go with each one of the siblings & I have loved them all - I am just sad that we have come to the end of the Wicked Winter family.
What could Gill Rawdon, the Duke of Coventry, a virgin duke with a traumatic childhood have in common with the outspoken & feisty Christabella Winter, who wants to find a rake for a husband? Nothing, you say - well read this book & you will change your mind. This was a side splitting laugh from front to back with moments of tenderness, anger, passion & the innocent discoveries of a couple who were made for one another. I highly recommend this book & series to all historical romance readers who want to take a scandalous but entertaining journey with the Winter siblings - you will not be disappointed!

Graham Dowling, Marquess of Haven is attending a house party to find himself a wife. It had been 5 years since his older brother's death and Graham was forced into title, but it had also been 5 years since the only woman, he ever loved had left to marry another.
She was standing in the room with her younger sisters at this very house party - Hannah Spencer, Lady Fawkesbury, a beautiful widow now. She was there to chaperone her sisters and was not aware that the man who crushed her heart 5 years ago was invited to the house party until she saw him standing right across the room. There was miscommunication, lies told by family five years ago and a love that never left either one of them for the other but how can they go back five years, do they really want to, and can they learn to trust? This was such a lovely second chance read for a wonderful couple!

This story was slow to begin with, but became increasingly enticing to the point where I could not put it down. I feel like the ending was incomplete, I wanted- for lack of a better word- more. I wanted to know more than what I was told; it came to a point where I just couldn't put this book down. Over all, this novel deserves a high rating because it was deliciously good.
