After the intense ending in the previous book I was left stunned and dying for this book. As I dove head first in this one I knew it would take us on a serious emotional journey and man the highs and lows punched a hole in my heart then put the pieces back together. Delilah has been through so much and the predicament that she finds herself in is utterly heartbreaking. I was angry on her behalf the majority of the book then at times I was angry at her for not standing up for herself. I love Austin and understood why he had so many doubts about who to trust, so when things went down I got his anger but the way he acted made me angry at him. Jasper is still the worst of the worst and wanted him to get so much more than what he did. Austin and Delilah’s story isn’t an easy one trust is paper thin, feelings are strong, will the truth ever be revealed to set Delilah free? This emotional rollercoaster was intense, frustrating, smexy, and everything in between. The author drew out all this in me while reading and I devoured it all.

After how Jennifer Sucevic left me hanging at the end of Prince of Hawthorne Prep.
It had me reeling with want and need to get my hands on Princess of Hawthorne Prep ASAP, to see the conclusion to Delilah and Austin’s journey.
Princess of Hawthorne Prep took you on a whirlwind rollercoaster, yet it was a given considering how everything left off at the end of Prince of Hawthorne Prep.
It was to be expected that Jennifer would have you riding through highs and low that consisted of so much drama, especially when you took into account the situations that occurred throughout.
It was like one after another after another, of which always involved and affected Delilah, never being able to catch a break from the aftermath of it.
A lot of which came from the issues between her and Austin, it led their relationship being full of back and forth and push and pulling. Most of which Austin had a hand in, considering his attitude and behaviour towards Delilah due to the mistaken information he had that made him doubt her. Ultimately causing them to ride the waves of highs and lows between them too.
But the fact that Delilah always picked herself up with trying to push through it, even with all the times she was knocked down from the many hurdles and obstacles thrown her way, it had me rooting for her hard.
Given the paces Delilah and Austin were put through, though mostly Delilah in this case. It made for a narrative that had so much angst dripping off each and every page, resulting in a emotionally charged storyline.
Especially when it came to following along in their relationship, on top of everything else Delilah was dealing with, whether it be her relationship with her mom, Jasper's antics, as well as those at school.
It was to be expected seeing her go through array of emotions from sadness, heartbreak, pain and misery to some moments of happiness, joy and laughter.
Something was showcased very well all throughout, courtesy of the in-depth look from Delilah’s inner monologue.
As well as Austin too, given the chapters that were included with being told from his perspective. Not only adding that extra oomph that Prince of Hawthorne Prep missed out in.
It allowed us to get a real understanding of his character from seeing, feeling and hearing all that he was going through emotion wise. As well as thought wise from all that he was dealing with in his life.
Yet again Jennifer had me devouring this book like other, having read it in one sitting with not being able to stop until it was finished.
She did an incredible job with the finale to Delilah and Austin’s story in Princess of Hawthorne Prep, making this book and Prince of Hawthorne Prep my favourite books of hers out of all that she has written.
Jennifer Sucevic came through with truly out doing herself with the duet series that was Delilah and Austin’s stories.

This is a long rant, but I’m sorry I just couldn’t with this book. I think I must have had people walking on me because of the second hand doormat syndrome I got.
Also this is not a bash on the author, I think she is very talented and creative and a good author, I love her other books. But idk what she was thinking on this one.
I’m sorry but ummmm what did I just read. Dahlia, for the almost the entirety of the pince of hawthorn prep and the princess of hawthorn prep is basically just being abused and degraded by everyone. Her ex boyfriend on multiple occasions sa her, post cp of her (most likely, she is in her senior year, but it never says her age I think, so I’m guessing she 17), while she is drugged, and blackmailed. All while taking the blame for doing nothing wrong. And when the mmc, Austin, literally cheats on her (even though it’s for info), he is let off with like a “I need some time, but I understand why you did it” and the. Get back together a month later. Not to mention all the things mmc has done to the fmc. He acuses her for two books of still being with her ex, even though he ex did terrible things. He wouldn’t listen because his ego was bruised. I’m sorry but someone outing you having dyslexia, is not as bad as being sa mutiple times, being drugged, having explicit photos taken of you, all while you deal with two men “fighting” over you, when really they are just trying to show off to the other that they got you, like you are a pawn in who’s more manly game. And why could the fmc not grow a backbone, I’m sorry but I could not stand that. Like I get teenage hormones and all that, but he just manipulated you, used you, and many times said that and that he didn’t even like you, and she just sat back and was like yeah I get it. Like no, fmc did nothing wrong yet she was the one who couldn’t be trusted. I’m sorry but mmc you lied to her, used her, cheated on her, believed false allegations about her her, humiliated her, and couldn’t even be man to fight for her. He had such a big pitty party the whole time, im surprised I didn’t hear about it in the news. And like don’t get me wrong I love dark romance, but the mmc there are twisted and crazy, but they will protect their girls at all costs, and the fmc stand up for themselves, at least a little bit. This man did nothing of that he only cared about himself and his pride, and fmc like how much of a dormat can you be, your mom is with your ex’s dad, while he is married (their having an affair), said ex did horrendous things to you, and you sit there while your mom talks about how amazing your ex is a d that you don’t understand that your mothers affair is actually love because the wife dose t understand him. Like I’m so I just I can’t, no. Reading this I literally wanted to die over how bad it was.
P.s. no shame to the author, I love her books and think she is an amazing writer. But really this one was not it.

Delilah had no backbone.
Her mom told her how horrible she was and never listened. I waited for her mom to feel like crap about thinking the worse in Delilah, but it was just like a light switch.

This book concludes Austin and Delilah's duet, and it was really good. A lot of angst, drama and jealousy, which is always right up my alley, however, there were also a lot of miscommunications that could've prevented a lot of the drama. It was still typical Jennifer, which always means a well-written, well told story that will definitely hold your attention, so I would totally recommend it!

Okay, I liked this book, but i just couldn't love it. I just couldn't get past the fact that she was constantly abused. She never said anything, which was really hard to read. I normally like the bully high-school books, but I'm not sure I was fully into it.

Honestly this book frustrated me so much. The way Delilah had no backbone for most of it just made the story unenjoyable. I forced myself to finish it and meh. It won't be a re-read.

This girl is continually being sexually assaulted by her ex boyfriend and the hero, but it’s fine if the hero forces himself because she’s in love with him. This made my stomach turn. This kind of romance genre is disgusting.

After the cliffhanger of Prince of Hawthorne Prep, I was feeling very afraid for Delilah, and for what it meant for her and Austin's story. and boy does she go through some trauma! Misunderstandings aplenty, awful behaviour by multiple awful people, and broken hearts later, can Delilah and Austin have a happily ever after?
This is a gripping conclusion to this duet. There is plenty of drama, twists and turns. There's suspense, and spice, hate (but not *really* hate) sex, making up, unexpected allies, angst, blackmail, revenge porn... it's absolutely chock full of teenagers (plus a parent and headteacher) making poor life choices. It's a brilliant read, and a fab ending to the Hawthorne Prep series. My only gripe is there is an unnecessary overreliance on the word "cognizant", as opposed to a basic but effective "aware". Still a very enjoyable novel though!

The 4th book in the worst Jennifer Sucevic series ever. So many triggers. Just stay away from the entire Hawthorne Prep series. It's poorly written (editing) and the relationships are not healthy. This series and book are not like her other books and series.

Please, all hail to the queen of bully high school romance: Jennifer Sucevic! She is the clear winner in that category!
Good lord and good grief! This was such an emotional rollercoaster - yet I loved every minute of it! What is it about the awfulness of a nasty bully and miscommunication and consequent hurt that makes for such a compelling and riveting read? I have no idea, but that's like the forte of Jennifer Sucevic! Phewww.
Ok, let me try to unpack this. So this "Princess of Hawthorne Prep" is the fourth book in the Hawthorne Prep series, but specifically it's part 2 in Austin and Delilah's story - and boy did Sucevic ever leave us hanging in part 1!! In part 1, Sucevic brought us on such a riveting and brutal trip and at the end of it, we were finally feeling some relief and could start to envision some form of HEA - then BAM!!! She hits us with... I can't even articulate! I was irate and needed part 2 ASAP, so you can only imagine my relief when I finally got my hands on this book. The book did not disappoint and it started up that rollercoaster of emotions yet again.
For anyone familiar with the Hawthorne Prep series, you know it is a high school bully romance. For those not aware: it's a high school bully romance. If you don't like bully romance books, or high school books, this is not for you. It's just not. If you do... buckle up, you're about to go for a crazy ride!
This book, book 4, OMG! It was so intense, such a page-turner that you completely lose track of time and space because you become so involved in the storyline and plot, your heart rate picks up and your cortisol levels are all over the place with this one. We feel so much for Delilah, and we almost dislike Sucevic at times because, come on Jennifer!! Haven't you put the poor girl through enough? I mean, seriously! And Austin - he's all dark and moody, yet he turns it up tenfold here. Yikes! ... yet... we like it... ? Is that OK? Can we like it? .. asking for a friend...
Now, I'm a HUGE Jennifer Sucevic fan - give me any of her books - any of her series - I don't even care. I'm obsessed. So when I started in on her Hawthorne Prep series, it took me a minute to change lanes in the darkness that's involved in these books. Slightly sinister, yes. Highly enjoyable and thrilling, yes. In all - and I mean ALL - of Sucevic's books, I find myself skipping ahead to the next sentence and paragraph all the time when I'm reading because I'm so involved in the story and have a desperate need to know what happens next that I constantly catch myself skipping ahead on the page that I'm in the middle of reading. I just can't wait!!! This happens with no other author that I read. But Sucevic's stories are so compelling, riveting, addicting that I can't help myself.
And this story, book 4, was no different. I feel so sorry for Delilah in so many ways. She evokes so many emotions within me - it feels as if everyone is against her - you just want to come to her rescue, give her a moment of relief, a friendly face, a hug - anything! I both hate and love Austin, he's so brutal, yet loving - he's like the best/worst dichotomy. And we so desperately want him to let his guard down and just love her, to let her love him - to trust what she's saying is true. It's really torturous for the reader too. Yet, when such deep emotions and feelings are evoked in a reader, isn't that the best testament to a great author? I think so. And Sucevic does it every single time!
As for this book, I can't even talk about specifics - this is just a must-read.. the entire series is. It's addicting, heartbreaking, brutal, sexy, sweet, shocking, and erotic at the same time. And by all accounts, Sucevic is the queen of the high school bully genre. Hands down.

So I knew this book was going to take me on a little bit of a rollercoaster. She did it to me with King and Queen of Hawthorne Prep and I didn't expect anything less in Prince and Princess.
We get the conclusion to Delilah and Austin's story that started in Prince of Hawthorne Prince.
She once again breaks you down a little and wonder how much once character can take without just losing it or themselves. Delilah showed some strong character development by sticking up for herself the further we got into the book despite feeling like she got walked all over in the last book as well as the beginning of this book. I did have moments where my heart just broke for her on everything she was getting put through and I was glad to see her get an idea that she had more worth than she originally thought.
Austin was a typical alphahole at the beginning and was so one track minded that he couldn't see past his own hurt and ego. Luckily it didn't take too long for him to realize that he cared for Delilah more than he needed revenge or to punish. He is overly protective and just in general over the top but darn if he doesn't make you like him at the end of the day.
So my biggest issue came in the form of a lot of miscommunications between so many people; I understand that you have to have some of that angst but man it was coming from all sides. It was great to see Summer and Kingsley again but they had minor rolls and there were times I felt like Summer should have had more compassion as it wasn't like it was sunshine and rainbows with her and Kingsley for a long time. Austin needed to get his head out of his backside to just listen at times. Delilah and her mom.....wow not sure at a point who was the parent?!?!?! I think I had to put the book down when Delilah's mom ripped her a new one for some behavior that Delilah was accused of when you consider what her mom was doing behind closed school doors!
Absolutely adored having more of Duke and Everly!!! Duke is one of my favorites and I am praying that I get a book for those two because there is story there! Duke is loyal as ever and totally the guy I want in my corner at all times. Everly is a sweetie and she tried to maintain loyalty to both girls and was Sweden at times. Also curious about the little nugget about Kingsley's sister.....is there a story coming there?!?!?!

So I knew this book was going to take me on a little bit of a rollercoaster. She did it to me with King and Queen of Hawthorne Prep and I didn't expect anything less in Prince and Princess.
We get the conclusion to Delilah and Austin's story that started in Prince of Hawthorne Prince.
She once again breaks you down a little and wonder how much once character can take without just losing it or themselves. Delilah showed some strong character development by sticking up for herself the further we got into the book despite feeling like she got walked all over in the last book as well as the beginning of this book. I did have moments where my heart just broke for her on everything she was getting put through and I was glad to see her get an idea that she had more worth than she originally thought.
Austin was a typical alphahole at the beginning and was so one track minded that he couldn't see past his own hurt and ego. Luckily it didn't take too long for him to realize that he cared for Delilah more than he needed revenge or to punish. He is overly protective and just in general over the top but darn if he doesn't make you like him at the end of the day.

Princess of Hawthorne Prep is book 4 in the Hawthorne Prep series and the conclusion of Austin and Delilah’s story. This one was... welp, it was something. I liked it, obviously, I did give it 4 stars after all. But, oof, there were a few seriously un-comfor-table moments within these chapters. I had to take a minute... or ten... to calm-the-eff-down.
If you read my review of Prince of Hawthorne Prep, you know that in this book I has hoping that: 1) Delilah would be less naive and protect herself from the mean girls crew and her ex's cronies and 2) we would get some of Austin’s POV. Happily we did get both of these things, though Delilah still made plenty of bone-headed moves. It wasn't to the point where I was cussing her out through my e-reader.
I did appreciate Austin's reaction and subsequent actions after the puzzle pieces fell into place for him. And oh - the Jasper wrap-up was just *chef's kiss* superb!
Now I'm left wondering what's the story with Duke and Everly? My spidey senses tell me somethings been going on with them under the radar for awhile. I hope that story gets written. I am here for it!

If Prince of Hawthorne Prep kept me on the end of my seat while reading it, Princess of Hawthorne Prep put me in an emotional whirlwind. And if I thought that the cliffhanger at the end of the first book wasn't good for my state of mind not knowing what will happen next , even though I guessed some of it , I wasn't ready for this . I read the Princess of Hawthorne Prep in one sitting and wasn't disappointed. I loved the story of Delilah and Austin. Still think that Delilah is so strong for meeting every day with her head held high even in the moments when she preferred to keep low profile and avoid confrontation. Didn't like it when no one wanted to hear her side of the story . And I was so disappointed from her mother and how she rejected her and didn't support her . But Delilah was above all that and when her mother needed her the most she was there for her . And I loved her even more when confronted Jasper for messing with her life . Austin and Delilah's emotional dynamics is another thing . When you think that everything is going to be good for them there comes such a twisted situation that they don't see their way out of it . And that's where I'm so disappointed with Austin - every time something happened to her , he left her to deal with it by herself . In these moments he wasn't better than Jasper . At some point Austin understands that there is so much more to everything that happens to them and he starts looking for answers but in the process he hurts Delilah . That's the moment she decides to fight back and for herself. After that emotional whirlwind Austin redeemed himself . He not only begged for forgiveness but also did it with his actions. And that epilogue and the bonus epilogue from Austin's POV were the perfect ending to their story. Anyway , now I'm curious about Duke and Everly .

Princess of Hawthorne Prep was the gripping conclusion to this emotional and addictive love story. The action picks up right where we left off and Delilah’s life is blown up once again. Austin and Delilah’s dysfunctional relationship turns even darker after yet another perceived betrayal and the lies and misunderstandings cause even more emotional trauma.
“Austin might not realize it, but he has the power to destroy me. My feelings run so much deeper than they did for Jasper. The connection between us is undeniable.”
I felt so bad for Delilah throughout the story and I was rooting for her to start standing up for herself. She’s so alone and scared for much of the story until finally she breaks and realizes that she needs to fight for her own mental health.
“She’s like the sun, and all I want to do is revolve around her brilliance.”
I was so happy to get some of Austin’s POV in this story and it helped me understand his actions better. I was still angry with him for his treatment of the situation, but I could feel his remorse when the truth of the events comes to light.

I started reading this series with Prince of Hawthorne Prep and loved that book so much that while waiting for the release of this book I went back and read the first two books, King of Hawthorne Prep & Queen of Hawthorne Prep. This series has a tight hold on me, once I start reading I just can't stop. It is absolutely amazing and one I highly recommend reading, especially if you love steamy high school bully romances.
I loved Austin from the very beginning and hurt for him everytime something bad would happen but this book had me questioning my love of him, only for a short moment thankfully. I really felt terrible for Delilah and all the crap she had to deal with all thanks to an angry ex, then Austin added on to her hurt and I swear my heart was breaking for her. I found myself questioning what I would do had I been in her situation with no one listening and I'm not sure I could have been as strong as she was. It's always great when the aggressor gets their comeuppance and thankfully we get to see Jasper get just that. It's also always great when the hero and heroine both grow and learn from their mistakes and get that HEA we so hope they get and thankfully not just our main characters but side characters as well all find themselves growing in this book.

When I started reading this book I found myself a bit confused. I couldn't seem to recall what happened at the end of Prince of Hawthorne Prep, and why we were picking up where we did. So I pulled up the book, and did a quick read of the ending of Prince of Hawthorne Prep just to refresh my memory. That being said, once my memory was refreshed, it all came rushing back. I realized how much I despise Jasper, Austin was going on and off my sh*t list, and I also had continued issues with Delilah's mom.
All in all though I really enjoyed this story. Yes it had darker elements, it's a bully romance, and it's set in a posh high school. Yet those things didn't deter me one bit. I mean do I wish they had been in college instead? Yeah, of course, but that wasn't the case.
There was so much drama and chaos in this book. Jasper was over the top with his assholeness, Austin was uber protective and possessive, Delilah just wanted answers and her life back, and Duke just wanted to make sure his friend was safe. This duet is going to be playing out in my head for a while. Jennifer Sucevic continues to impress me with her writing and characters. (even if I do find myself loving to hate a few of them.)
Also, I'm hoping that Duke and Everly get their story told eventually. My gut tells me it will be a good one.

Once again, Jennifer Sucevic has snared us with her incredible story. This time we wrap up the love story of Delilah and Austin and man oh man is there a lot. You will finish this book only to start from the beginning and find clues and turns you missed the first time. There's passion and compassion. There's anger and betrayal. There's forgiveness and strength. There's
Should I/Could I have just said "This book has it all"? Maybe. But that feels so small when there was just so much to their story.
Heads up: This is a true bully romance. Now I get it, that might not be your thing. Truth be told, I am not a huge fan of bully romance like... well not as a "hard and fast" rule. More like... it's not what I'd turn to first. But after reading Sucevic's King & Queen duet, and then the Prince of Hawthorne book, there was no way I wasn't NOT going to snatch this one up and read it. Apart from the gazillion sexy times in this book, Delilah evolved, very slowly, from a meek and scared student to a young woman with spine. It took a very arduous journey of stalking and tricks from her ex-boyfriend Jasper and being bullied to the point of degradation by Austin Hawthorne.
Poor Delilah spends most of the book like a pariah in the school, scorned and insulted by the other seniors, faced Austin and Summer’s anger for accusations of events she had no explanation for, after one of Jasper’s tricks that involve incriminating photos.
I liked to see her evolve, she was strong in the sense that she kept assisting to school in the midst of her turmoil with her mother, Jasper, and Austin. I didn’t like that Austen degraded her so much and she allowed him. She called it love, I call it being a doormat.
Apart from her personal problems, there is also the situation of her mother having an affair with the school headmaster, who happens to be married. This is like a melodrama, everything that can go wrong goes wrong. What never stops is the sex, even when Austin and Delilah were in the outs.
I only liked the last fifth part of the story, when Delilah finally got the guts to say to heck with everyone and stood on her own. It does have an HEA but by this time I had no joy.

Oooof! What a fantastic, angst-filled conclusion to Delilah and Austin's story.
"There is just him. And me. He's all I'm cognizant of."
I was dreading starting this conclusion this duet because of the cliffhanger from the first book. However, I was sucked right in and felt all the angst, desperation, and raw sexiness of the story as Delilah and Austin battled hard through the quagmire of lies, deception, and misunderstanding to get to their HEA. My stomach was roiling with apprehension and my heart was leaping with joy and swoons, as my feelings went up and down right along with the characters' emotions. The connection between Delilah and Austin was electric, compelling and irrevocable! There was no question that they would find their happy ending because how could they not? And, Jasper was such a nasty piece of work and the relief I felt when he was dealt with was probably as much as Delilah's! 😅
"She's like the sun, and all I want to do is revolve around her brilliance."
This story was jammed pack with all the feels and drama and was a fantastic conclusion to the duet. I can't wait for Duke and Everly's story!
