Made for the Mafia #3

Reckless Sinner

Rate this book
I never wanted to join the family mafia business but they needed me, so I went to law school to protect my brothers from the blood they shed and the investigations they were under.

I watched out for everyone. Thought I saw everything.

Except her.

Delaney was beautiful and my boss's daughter at the firm where I worked.

She was off limits and I couldn’t afford to be distracted.

I should never have touched her. One taste and I couldn’t let her go.

She stole the heart I never knew I had but our lives were about to collide.

Her father vowed to take down organized crime. My brothers were in his crosshairs.

And as much as I wanted her, there could be no happy ending for us.

Especially once my father gives me a command that could only end one way—with her despising me.

A hot steamy read with a thrilling plot.

It was not a long read and even though it could have been negative point, I belive the author very aptly wrapped up the book. It has a lot of smut but also character growth and development. I also like the relationship between the father-son duo and the between the brothers. It was honestly endearing.

I wish we got a better ending tho and not this rushed half baked one. At times the chapters only had monologues which made the book boring.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: deception, instalove
Angst: 😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Wow! Erika Wilde penned a great story with tons of action and hot smexy and it's all packed into a relatively small number of pages. Great instalove story about a not so typical mafia story hero who strove to be opposite of his older brothers in all ways. Wanted a life outside the family, wasn't a player, and just has an all around more conservative personality. It was smoking hot how he was able to find his "darker side" in the bedroom with Delaney. Enjoyed the growth Delaney had during the story as well. This has been just a fabulous series and I've enjoyed all the stories of the Russo brothers - I'm sorry there aren't more of them, lol!

Reckless Sinner is the 3rd book in the Made for the Mafia series by Erika Wilde and while a standalone, is best enjoyed when read in series order. It is told in first person, from dual perspective.

Reckless Sinner😈

Reckless Sinner is the third book in the Made for the Mafia series and I’m assuming the final book as well😢 Dante is the youngest of the Russo brothers and has tried to remove himself from the “family” as much as possible. When his boss, gives his permission for Dante to date his daughter, Delaney, Dante realises she might be the weakness he’s been trying to avoid having for the last few years😳

A good story, though some very sexy times between this couple, I found there wasn’t as much action or suspense as the previous books, but I did still enjoy this couple❣️ I received an advanced copy via Booksprout and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

4.25 stars-- RECKLESS SINNER is the third instalment in Erika Wilde’s contemporary, adult MADE FOR THE MAFIA erotic, Mafia, romance series. This is thirty year old, attorney and ‘fixer’ Dante Russo, and Delaney Weston’s story line. RECKLESS SAINT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Some of the events of RECKLESS SINNER cross over with, and run parallel to, the events of book two RUTHLESS SINNER.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Delaney and Dante) RECKLESS SINNER follows the building romance and relationship between thirty year old, attorney and ‘fixer’ Dante Russo, and Delaney Weston, a relationship predicated upon a lie. Dante Russo has been made junior partner at the law firm for which he works but Dante’s life is about to become a little more complicated when senior partner Alan Weston all but gives him permission to date his only daughter Delaney. Dante suspects he is being set up but his attraction to Delaney Weston is immediate and intense, and Dante wants to see how far it will go. Delaney Weston is a bit of a doormat; someone who must abide by, and do her father’s bidding but Delaney struggles with her latest ‘assignment’, an assignment to report back to her father, the man running for Attorney General. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Dante and Delaney, and the potential fall-out when the truth is revealed about Alan Weston’s plans for the future.

Delaney Weston has been used all of her life, and she doesn’t have the backbone to stand up and say no. Falling for Dante Russo meant falling for a potential criminal but Delaney continued to battle between head and heart knowing she was about to destroy the man with whom she is falling in love.

The relationship between Dante and Delaney is one of immediate attraction but Delaney’s presence in Dante’s life is by no means, an accident. Dante suspects all is not well in our heroine’s life but Dante must bide his time until the truth is revealed. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

The secondary and supporting characters are limited but include Delaney’s father Alan Weston, as well as the return of Dante’s brothers Marco and Vincent, and their father Antonio Russo.

RECKLESS SINNER is a story of power, abuse and control, betrayal and vengeance, dysfunctional family relationships and friendships, acceptance and love. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are desperate, determined and dynamic.

Intrigue, lust, betrayal and rivalry come to mind when I think of this story. The Russo family is back in action with Dante Russo the lawyer who stays as far away from his family as he can get. He is looking to make a name for himself but it comes at a cost that he didn’t know he had to pay. When he gets involved with the beautiful Delaney he cannot seem to fight what he is feeling. Delaney is put into his path for nefarious reason but she has her own agenda. When these two come together on the page it is scorching hot and I love their dynamic. They are both made for one another based on the fact that their chemistry is one thing they can’t deny. They also both play a part that has them not living their lives a their true selves. Exploring their relationship opens up another opportunity for them to find who they truly need to be. I liked their story because they had so many things in common that it was no wonder they found in each other kindred spirits. This is a great book and a great ending to a wonderful series.

During the first few chapters, I was questioning how easily Delaney seemed to accept what was going on.
How could she be so casual about it? How was she okay with it?
She seemed so honest and demure - Looks can be deceiving
I'm glad I didn't throw her under the bus too quickly -
As things progressed that girl showed some serious backbone
Smart, quick to think on her feet, and loyal

Dante never wanted to be a part of the family business - heck he never wanted to be a lawyer - sometimes though you have to know when to make concessions (temporarily mind you) and when to go for the throat
He conceded once -
This time he's aiming for the throat
No one messes with his

These two were so entertaining together -
There is so much more to both of them than what they show the world
She let herself go with him and he took everything she had to offer
- And their behind closed doors antics *holy hades hot*

Delaney's sp erm donor needs a lesson about how "law n order" works
The Russo brothers came through once again
Though Pop's Russo is still on my to be disposed of list :)

A 3.5 star read! I’ll explain later.
Delaney has always felt like the apple of her fathers eye. He’s always praised her. Shown her how to do things. Ever since her mom died. It was just them two.
When he gets it in his plans that he’s going for the DA position he tells her to lour un the mafia bosses son Dante. Easy enough. She’s already hot for him. It’s a plus right.
As the weeks go by Dante makes her realize that maybe her father doesn’t have her best interest at heart.
Her fathers obsession with taking down Dante’s mob family gets him into hot water.
This is where the ratings went down.
The ending was too convenient and fast. The love between the two didn’t seem too real. Not believable Kinda fell way too fast. And Delaney came off as stupid instead of naive. It’s weird she’s not super smart but wants to be kinky. Kind of doesn’t go together. In my opinion.

Reckless Sinner is book 3 in the Made for the Mafia series by Erika Wilde and the final book in this series.

This is Dante and Delaney’s story of Dante wanting no parts of his mafia family business and Delaney who’s father is forcing her to get close to Dante in order to take down his family.

Scheming, lies, organized crime, passion, danger and a twist you never see coming…Ms Wilde sure knows how to keep you thinking you know but….you don’t…

Last but not least of the Russo brothers is Dante. We finally get his story. The one that actually doesn’t want anything to do with the Mafia. So much so that he fights with his father about it to the point they no longer speak.

He has gone the straight past and is working his way up the range being a lawyer when we pick up he is being named a partner at his law firm.

Dulaney is someone Dante’s boss’s daughter and she is interested. Dante is hesitant to start something with her. I did t love Dulaney’s character. She was manipulated by her father a lot and was basically being forced to try and find dirt on Dante. This story did happen alongside Dante’s brother’s story.

overall i did like the story line. plenty of spice and as usual Lia Langola does a great job narrating.

Loving this series and all of these swoon worthy men in this family. We finally have Dante in our hands. He is the brother who never wanted to be part of the family business, is honest, trustworthy, and has made his own way as a lawyer. Now Dante finds himself being made partner in a prestigious firm, but something is off.
Delaney has always been the Girl Friday to her father. She has been by his side faithfully doing whatever he required in his life. Now she wants more, she wants Dante. We also soon realize that there is so much more to Delaney. She is smart, intuitive, loving, and can be very sassy. So, when her father suggests that she pursue him and gather intel on his mafia family she jumps at the chance. Now that she has gotten to know this wonderful man, she realizes that she needs to be more than her father's worker bee. Now this is where it is about to get dicey. Delaney soon realizes that her father is dirty, and she needs to find a way out and she seeks help from Dante. They need to be free of both of their families and we watch as they soon devise a plan to make that dream come true. This was a wonderful end to a great series.

Dante--lawyer, not in the family biz, everyone thinks he's involved with his mafia family, he just got made partner at a high profile law firm, he keeps himself isolated but he's attracted to his boss's daughter, but he won't make the first move.
Delaney--good girl, Dante just became a partner in her father's law firm, he wants her to find evidence to incriminate Dante and his family, and she has wanted him since she met him and Daddy just gave her orders to pursue her desires.

I really enjoyed both Vincent's and Marco's books, and couldn't wait to read Dante's book. OMG it was so worth the wait! I loved Dante and Delaney's journey in Reckless Sinner!!!

Dante Russo never wanted to stay in the family business, and even though he became a lawyer, he has done his best to stay out of his family business and spend a little time with them as possible. Dante is always watching out for himself and those he cares about, and will do all he can to protect those he loves.

Delaney Weston is the daughter of Alan Weston, one of the partners at Weston & Lerner, and Dante has just made junior partner at the law firm when he is introduced to Delaney again. Her father wants the position of Attorney General and wants Delaney to get the dirt on the Russo family using whatever means needed. I honestly felt sorry for Delaney when she was first introduced. She had no self confidence, and seemed way to eager to do whatever her father pretty much demanded she do. However, the more time she spent with Dante, the more she came out of her shell, and then I was just pissed off at her father. His emotional and verbal abuse of her throughout her entire life made her believe she was less desirable and worth nothing to anyone but him. I saw red every single time she tried to have a conversation with him honestly. Dante saw the real Delaney that was being pushed back into her shell over and over again thanks to her abusive father. I loved the more time Delaney was with Dante, the more she began to see her true value and intelligence.

Dante and Delaney had pretty amazing chemistry from the beginning. Seriously smoking hot chemistry that will steam up your ereader screen for sure! I loved they seemed to recognize what the other needed in a relationship, and both lifted the other up and gave real value to each as a person. Dante needed it because of how he was raised within the mafia family, and Delaney because of her manipulative father.

With this being a mafia book, I knew there would be violence, but never expected to be enraged as much as I was. All I can say is Delaney proved over and over again how strong she was and how wrong her father was about her. Delaney and Dante were my favorite characters from this series, I loved every moment of their romantic journey! Erika Wilde knocked it out of the ballpark with this story. Readers were given an amazing romance, with all the feels, as well as a bit of suspense to keep readers on the edge of their seats. Reckless Sinner is the perfect wrap up to this fantastic mafia series.

I was given an ARC copy of Reckless Sinner in exchange for my honest review

This is my first time reading Erika Wilde and I am HOOKED

This story is the 3rd book in the Made for the Mafia Series. It is a stand alone novel and books 1 and 2 don't have to be read in order to follow along with this story

Reckless Sinner follows Dante Russo, the youngest of the Russo son's who has all but shunned the maifa life of his family and Delaney Weston, daughter of a high powered attorney (and also Dante's boss) who has spent her entire life trying not to be a disappointment.

I am a sucker for mafia romances so when I saw the opportuinity to read this one, I could not pass it up. What i really liked about this story was that it was not your typical mafia romance so to speak in terms of the MMC being entrenched in the organization, whether he be the right hand man or the Don/Capo himself. Dante has always known he was different from his family but has a hard time cutting off all ties since they are family and despite becoming a lawyer to please his father, has spent much of his adult life flying under the rader with his nose down so he doesn't have to be invloved.

Delaney was also a very different FMC. A lot of the females I have read in mafia romances have had some sort of sass and defiance to them- Delaney is a bit more timid and very concerned with not doing and/or saying the right thing and disappointing everyone.

I loved the character development in this story- both MC's start off as beings just going through the motions because society has forced their hands in doing so and by the end, they have given up what society wants of them and have begun being the people they always wanted to be. The chemsitry between both was also off the charts- just because this was a tamer mafia romance in terms of violence, it did not lack for the spice that is normally portrayed. I also really love the ending- did not see what happened coming and was pleasantly surprised to see the resolution.

I gave this book 4.5 out of 5- well written, strong character development and engaging from start to finish.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Growing up, I had sworn never to join the family mafia business. Still, I know too much and i had to, at the very least, be an associate for the Russo family. In the end, I was sent to law school. In an underworld of criminals I was a necessary commodity-especially when my brothers had recently spilled so much blood and were currently under investigation. I found myself watching out of everyone. Only, I never saw Delaney coming. She was the beautiful daughter of one of the partners at the firm where I worked. She was strictly off limits during a time when I couldn't afford to be distracted. She was also driven, determined, and refused to accept no for an answer. I never should have touched her, but once I had my first taste, I couldn't let her go. Delaney stole my heart and I didn't even know I had one. But things were about to get ugly. Her father was running for Attorney General, his goal to take down organized crime and end the mafia reign once and for all. And, my father and brothers were in his crosshairs. There was no way Delaney and i would get a happy ending. No way we'd come out unscathed, especially when my father gives me a very specific job to do that could only end one way....with Delaney hating me.

This is the story of the youngest Russo brother Dante. He has tried to remove himself from the family as much as he could but that didn't work out well for him and he ended up going to law school and he became a very valuable commodity to the family. The moment that he sees his bosses daughter he knows two things. She is off limits and he has to have her. He could never deny that ever and she is equally attracted to Dante. But when he gets the permission from his boss to date is daughter she soon might just be the weakness that Dante has been trying to not have his entire life. Well these two every be able to make it in the world he comes from together? You have to read to find out. I don't want to spoil anything in the book for anyone. I myself loved reading every single word of this book.

Everything is not as it seems

Each book in Erika Wilde's Made For The Mafia series has been a suspenseful, intriguing, sexy, romantic, and delicious read. RECKLESS SINNER is passionate, gritty, dramatic, emotional, and completely unputdownable. Dante Russo and Delaney Weston's story had me captivated from start to finish.

Dante is the black sheep of the Russo family, the son who never wanted to be involved in the family's mafia business. He didn't even want to go to law school, however he accepted his father's "only way out", knowing that one day his legal services would be called on by his family. Close to becoming a partner of the law firm he works for, Dante's boss gives him "permission" to date his daughter, Delaney. Delaney comes across as being sweet, honest, and shy, however sometimes looks and first impressions can be deceiving. Her father is using her to further his own cause. Things don't go as planned though when Delaney begins to fall for Dante. Will she betray him or finally stand up to her father?

Dante and Delaney were wonderful together. Their relationship was an entertaining one, they shared a great chemistry and the heat between them sizzled. I enjoyed seeing the way their friendship evolved into something neither of them expected. What will happen when Dante learns the truth about Delaney, and when he is given an ultimatum from his father? Will they be able to salvage what they were beginning to build together?

Even though this is a standalone, I highly recommend reading the first two books in this series prior to this one, if only for the background on the Russo family. RECKLESS SINNER was a thoroughly enjoyable read that certainly drew on my emotions.

Sad to see this series end, with Dante who is the youngest brother in the Russo Mafia, he is also the only one that is not involved in the business. He went to Law School and knew one day his father, "The Don" was going to need something from him but so far that day has not come. He is up for a promotion at his Law Firm and they are going to announce he is a Jr Partner. He meets one of the Sr Partners daughter's who he has met one time before and they are attracted to one another. Delaney was not what I was expecting compared to the other ladies that ended up with his brothers, she was weak, but since he wasn't in the family business, she didn't need to be as strong as the others... I guess?

Dante and Delaney are given "permission" from her father to date. But what her father really wants is for his daughter to get close to him to get some info to pass along to him as he wants to run for Attorney General and will bring the Russo's down. He wanted her to be his pawn... and she went along with it. But the length he went to was surprising to me, glad she showed some character though by finding her way to Dante.

While I liked Dante's character, I thought this book was going to have a little more action like the previous books, it didn't. This couple had chemistry from the start, but I didn't really feel it, it felt like it was told to me. Also, there was not any real mafia drama or angst as in the others. The other brother's made a short appearance and it was nice to see the love they had for their baby brother. I feel we need another 4th book to see all the brothers and their spouses together to really tie up this series.

This is book three in The Made For The Mafia Series and it is Dante and Delaney's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Dante wanted to be as far away from the mafia life style that he could as he is so different from his father and brother's and now a lawyer and about to make partner in the law firm that he worked for but when he met Delaney who is the daughter of his boss he felt a instant attraction but her father said that he could date his daughter Dante started to become suspicious and felt like her father had put her with him for a reason. Delaney has been under her father's thumb all her life and he constantly used her for his own gain and this time he wanted information on Dante's family as he wants to take them down so he can become The Attorney General but will Delaney go through with it especially after meeting Dante and being attracted to him. There are twists and turns along with betrayal, secret's, action, intrigue, danger and some situations that have you on the edge of your seat while turning the pages to see what would happen next and the chemistry between Dante and Delaney is so strong, hot and intense that you could feel it sizzling off the pages but what will happen when all the secret's are revealed will it be the end for them. I absolutely loved this book and I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner and so addictive and I recommend that you read this book and series and you will not be disappointed.

Reckless Sinner is book 3 in the Made for the Mafia series, however it can be read as a standalone. Dante is part of the Russo crime family, but unlike his brothers he has never wanted to be a part of the mafia business. His father let him become a lawyer, but Dante knows the days is coming when his father will expect something of him in return.

When Dante makes partner and is given the blessing to date one the the partner's daughters, he thinks maybe they are finally accepting him. Little does he know that while Delaney wants him, she also wants to make her dad proud by finding dirt on the Russo family that will help her dad get elected Attorney General.

Dante is a great guy and I like how he understood Delaney and her needs. They have great chemistry from the start and they feel more for each other than either expected. Dante comes to realize that her father treats her poorly, but has no idea that she is a pawn in her father's scheme. When things come to a head and Dante is tasked with doing something Delaney will never forgive, can these two find a way to be together or will their families divide them?

I really enjoyed this book. This book was not as dark as some books in the mafia genre, which I appreciated. It kept me in suspense and I did not see the ending coming. Overall, I would recommend it.

“For the first time in years I felt like I had someone who understood me.”

Last book in a series I’m sad to see end, this time we have youngest Russo brother Dante’s story. The story mostly ties up all the strings left dangling in the series but leaves a few loose, which I found surprising.

I knew going in I wasn’t going to like it as much as Ruthless Sinner as Marco is one of my BBFs and could never be topped. That being said I still liked Dante a lot. He actually surprised me several times. I found Delaney to be the weakest heroine in the series and the end was completely against character which I found disappointing, to say the least. I also didn’t feel there was as much chemistry between the two of them as there was with the first two couples.

This book had the least action, hardly any real angst and the ending too pat and anticlimactic. Too bad as the first two were edge of the seat. My favorite scene was when Marco showed up in Dante’s apartment, back from his holiday in the Caribbean. I perked right up and got super excited to see him.

If you haven’t read the first two books that’s fine, there’s enough included to catch on. If you do then please know this book is filled with spoilers for the first two.

I’m feeling a little sad knowing I won’t see Marco any more so I’m going to go back and re-read Ruthless Sinner now to comfort myself.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "RECKLESS SINNER
This is a great series live a good Mafia Romance this hit it out of the park full of angst, intrigue, danger, action, drama, passion, suspense, twists that have glued up your seat till finished.
Dante Russo never wanted to join the Family Mafia business but he to be an associate for Russo Family he was sent up law school a necessity when in the Underworld of criminals especially since his brothers have been spilling alot of blood lately & being investigated.
Dalaney is beautiful determined, driven woman that's caught Dante's attention at the firm she's off limits & doesn't need the distraction right now with everything on with the family but she diesnt take no for an answer one taste & Dante's hooked he won't let her go.
Dante & Delaney will have a problem because her father who's at the firm is trying to become Attorney General his goal is to wipe out criminal organizations especially the Mafia once & for all this cause problems for both his father & brothers.
I definitely recommend to get this well written story what will happen to "Dante & Delaney" when he's given an order from his father that will make her hate him, will he go through with it, will they get a HEA you must get this book to see how everything turns out a must read for sure it won't disappoint. AWESOME AWESOME READ!!!!!

This book in the series is about Dante and Delaney and even though it felt like a really quick read, it was full of action.

Dante has not wanted to be part of his family affairs but his father - a mob boss, has all but forced him to be part of it. His father sent him to law school and he is now the mob's lawyer and working at a top law firm where one of the partners wants to be the Attorney General. Not only is he striving for that position, he has an agenda to take down Dante's family for their part in being a crime network.

Delaney has always been the doting daughter and has been her fathers puppet. Like her father, she is also a lawyer working at the firm with him and She wants to please him. So when he suggests that Delaney get close to Dante she is giddy to do so.

Only things take a turn when Dante and Delaney have off the charts chemistry (which make for some steammmmmy sex scenes). Not only is the chemistry between these two electric, Delaney learns some things about her father and the shady things he is involved in. They realize that they both need to get out from under their fathers thumbs but know its a dangerous move.

I liked watching these two fall for each other as well as try to get away from two families that they are nothing but pawns in. There was angst, betrayal, love and a twist thrown in.

*An advance reader copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.*

Dante Russo is the youngest son in the Russo Family. He never wanted to have anything to do with the family mafia business, so his father pushed him to go to law school. Which in his mind meant that he was still involved but only to keep his family out of trouble. Because of his family, Dante isn’t very trusting. Yet from the moment he is reacquainted with Delaney, their attraction is immediate.

Delaney Weston is the only daughter of Attorney Alan Weston, who happens to be Dante’s boss. What Dante doesn’t know is that Alan hired Dante with the long-range goal of using him for information on his family, so that Alan can take down the Mafia and elevate his own position. Not to mention that Alan doesn’t have issues using his daughter as bait.

What I really like about this story is that from almost the beginning of their relationship, Dante sees Delaney as an equal, not just as a beautiful girl he wants to sleep with. He sees Delaney for who she really is and not who her father has made her feel like growing up. This book gave me a lot of feels. If you haven’t yet read anything set in this world, this series is a great place for you to start.

How to describe this book? Delicious. I really liked Delaney. She is the daughter of a high powered lawyer and his plus one to everything. Her ability to observe is her greatest strength and biggest detriment. Her father (without her realizing it) gains that information from her. But is not until Dante that she might see what is truly in front of her. Dante has his own family issues meaning he comes from a mafia family and doesn't want anything from that life. They find a kinship with each other that is stronger than any other.
Don't get me wrong. Both of them have secrets. Delaney fully knows why her father is allowing her to see Dante. She harbors such guilt that she's afraid Dante will see right through her. And Dante is ... Ok he's not hiding anything. His desire to separate from his family is apparent and his desire for Delaney is off the charts. The only thing he's holding back ...well just read this for yourself.
This book has everything I want from an Erika Wilde story. The heat level is off the charts. The story is well developed. The family is loyal. The heroine has strength she didn't know she possessed. And the hero? A book boyfriend worthy of my desire.

Dante Russo is the youngest of the Russo brothers and the third book in the series. Dante decided to remove himself from the family business and became a lawyer as his mob boss father suggested. He learned to argue law cases from arguing with his father and it’s served him well he’s an up-and-coming new lawyer with a flair for arguing in the courtroom. Dante has worked hard and he’s grateful to be made Jr. Partner and his boss Alan Weston has given him permission to date his daughter Delaney Weston. I love this book as Dante soon realizes his attraction is very mutual when Delaney returns his feeling. Poor Delaney is doing her father’s bidding by getting closer to the young Dante, to find out his secrets, his family secrets. Can she go through with her father’s plan? Can she lose Dante and the relationship they’ve built to help further her father’s career? Will the trust they’ve built stand up to the lies and deception? They both have some tough decisions to make as the story unfolds as this story intermingles with the other two books with Vincent the oldest, Marco and his FBI girlfriend in this steamy plot and plot to take down the Russo crime family is revealed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Dante has no desire to ever be part of the family business so his father (who wasn't pleased) tells him that he'll become an attorney, and Dante knows it's only a matter of time before he's dragged in. Delaney is the daughter of Dante's boss, and she's had an interest in him since he came to work at the firm but her father always told her no. Poor Delaney, she has no clue that her father has kept her beaten down in order to do what he wants, so this girl has no confidence in herself whatsoever & it made me sad for her. Finally, she gets to pursue Dante, and the sparks are flying so despite the fact that Dante tells himself that she's off limits, it won't be denied as they get to know each other. However, her father is going for Attorney General, so he's hellbent on taking the mafia down as a stepping stone, and guess whose family is in the crosshairs?! This story had a lot of emotion to it as these two are caught in the middle of things they don't want to be, and the heat is top notch. There are even a twist or two to keep me guessing but it was the ending that I never saw coming which delighted me to no end. I LOVE this author, and LOVED Reckless Sinner so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

“We were out of the darkness.”

What a way to end a series. Man..Dante and Delaney’s story was perfection. At first, Delaney truly irritated me. With the way she kept putting herself down and trying to conform to someone she thought she should be for a man to be happy..but then Dante steps in and starts telling her and showing her what it’s like to be loved and to be perfect just the way she was.

Dante wanted out of the mafia. Once he is offered a partnership, he knew that he had successfully made it on his own. Delaney has been observing from afar. She has always had a thing for Dante, but her dad told her no…until he didn’t. When he comes to Delaney with an offer to be with Dante, she jumped. As things progress though, she starts to see that she is being used by her dad. And one fateful night things go horribly wrong and Dante has to ask his father for help.

I loved watching his brothers come to him and tell him that they were loyal to him and gave him a way to get what he wanted and not get his hands dirty. When Delaney finds her voice and gets her justification..it was beautiful. I loved how both of their darkness led them to the light together.

Such a great ending to this series.

The third book in the Made for the Mafia series featuring the Russo brothers and Reckless Sinner is the first book I’ve read from this author. Dante Russo is the black sheep of his family. He never wanted any part of the family business but the closest his father would allow him to escape was law school which lead to a future as the mob’s lawyer. He’s close to making partner at his firm when he meets Delaney, the daughter of one the senior partners, a man who is running for Attorney General with his sights set firmly on the Russo family as his ticket and who sees Dante as his ‘smoking gun’.

Dante and Delaney make a fantastic hero and heroine with some seriously hot chemistry between them and a dark edge involving role play. The book itself was a quick, enjoyable read with a great storyline as Dante and Delaney both struggle to escape the oppressive shadows cast by their respective fathers and finally find the freedom to live their own lives without living in fear of any repercussions. Now I’ve finished this book I’m off to find Vincent and Marco’s books to see just what I’ve been missing with Erika Wilde’s writing.

This is the third book in this series but could be read as a standalone if you so choose (but really grab the first two books they were really good). This one is about Dante, the youngest brother who didn't go the way of his older siblings, he didn't want anything to do with the mafia and became a lawyer. Even with his last name of Russo he was hired fresh out of law school and now at 30 is being made a Junior Partner. Now the senior partner, Alan Westin, is planning a run for Attorney General of New York and his only daughter, Delaney, is cozying up to Dante. She has been sent into the lion's den, so to speak, by her father to get all the dirty intel she can on the Russo family and report back. This is where it goes off the rails, Dante and Delaney do not follow all the rules set before them and feelings are established between them quickly. Delaney has been gaslighted by her father for years and Dante can sense that and when he reluctantly turns to his father for advice (oh my) things really go awry. All I can say is I wish there were more brothers because I have really enjoyed this series. I particularly enjoyed how this one wrapped up.

Sad to see this series come to an end, but it ended on a high note.

The one brother that did not want to follow in the family business of working with the mafia, gets dragged back in again and may be stuck.

Dante became a lawyer and did not want anything to do with the family business in any sort of way. Well little did he know that one day he just might need the services of what his family can do and it bring him right where he does not want to be...a part of the mafia.

Dante is promoted to a junior partner and is very excited to be making strides in his legitimate career. Along comes one of the main partners daughters and boom instant attraction. But little does Dante know that Delaney is a pawn in a much bigger scheme to take down the Dante and his family.

Delaney has been groomed, gaslit, and emotional abused her whole life from her very affluent father. But it took the love and respect of a man she is suppose to backstab to help her realize how much of a monster her father really is.

Loved the story and sad to see it end. This story was super hot, a fun read, and a great end to the series!
