This is a really nice book of devotional prayers for women. I have already purchased a physical copy to use in my personal prayer time during the prayer emphasis at my church this month. The book itself is pretty, and the prayers are relevant to the world we live in today. Each entry is concise and includes a scripture to meditate on.

Barbour Staff have done it again with another fantastic devotional. This time, it's Pause and Pray, set up to help you pray a simple little prayer that centers on different topics like Right Path, Lord, I'm Tired, Less Drama, More Peace, Holding on to Hope, just to name a few random topics. There are 180 days of devotions that start with a topic, a short little prayer that helps center you and bring you to develop your prayer life with focused content, and a scripture that ties it all together. You are encouraged to even take these prayers and a journal and make them your own, or journal your thoughts of reflection as you read the prayers and scripture. I also love that the scripture used is from various translations as well. Very well done. Great devotional to just help one pause...and pray.

These daily prayers are a blessing especially when you're tight on time or unsure about what to say. The short entries encourage brief moments of reflection while the accompanying Scriptures add depth to each topic. Whether you have a little or a lot of time, the flexible format accommodates your needs. Plus, the book’s beautiful presentation makes it a wonderful addition to your devotional collection or a thoughtful gift.

Sometimes in life, peace comes through giving life over to a Higher power & realizing that no matter how hard we try, we are not always in control. Life has twists and turns that are totally beyond our choices. This little book full of thoughts based on the Bible is a comfort in every day life as we turn some of the control over to God. Though this book is non-denominational, it is Bible based. I found each of the little prayers reached an inner part of my soul and were an excellent springboard to thoughts and deeper ideas reaching out to allow me to talk to God.

This prayer book has prayers for every worry. With prayer titles such as the following: Be Still, Breathe Prayers, Choosing Joy, Our God Will Fight with us, Loving Others, Navigating Decisions, Miracles Everyday, Fear Cannot Conquer Me, I Can Never Be Forgotten and many more. I loved this phrase from one of the prayers: Even though my tears blur my vision and I can't see where the pieces of my heart have been scattered, You pick up the fragments and put me back together again. Each prayer has a scripture to accompany it and a list of each scripture is found at the end of the book.

Very Inspiring Devotionals

These devotions are so Inspiring. They provide the foundation for more indepth prayers and are a great way to strengthen your intimate relationship with God. Sometimes, we need a reminder of what and who to pray for. These devotionals are written to argument your own heartfelt prayers, and may be used in your day to day meditation.

These prayers can be used by anyone seeking God’s grace. I highly recommend this book.

I really loved this devotional book. These devotionals were perfect to start my morning off with. It really did allow for me to pause and pray and spend some time connecting with my heavenly Father. The devotionals were short and sweet but had the perfect words to touch your heart. Highly recommend this to start off your day with or end your day with before bed.

This devotional is a wondaful collection of short prayers with accompanying Scripture verses that cover a variety of topics from gratitude to asking God for help to grace to forgiveness. These prayers can be used as a quick reset during your day. The book does exactly what the title says; it encourages you to pause and pray.

I enjoyed the devotional book, Pause & Pray 180 Encouraging Devotional Prayers for Women from Barbour Publishing. Each day’s reading was a short devotion on a Bible verse and how it applies to different areas of our lives as women. I appreciated that they were short and to the point, thus enabling me to spend time in prayer without being overwhelmed with a large time commitment. I liked that each day had a title letting me know what the main focus was for that day’s devotion. It will make it easy in the future to also look up a quick prayer when I have a particular need. I also liked the Scripture references printed in the back of the book. This short devotional book would make a wonderful gift for a family member or friend.
