AVA was a wonderful conclusion to the International Sensory Assassin Network Series!  Those we love got the happily ever after we had been hoping for, but it was such a challenging journey.  And I closed the book smiling with that fabulous conclusion.  If you love dystopian, sci-fi, action, found family, and romance then definitely check this series out!
She had always put her people first and had promised herself never to fall in love.  But the thing about love… there’s no reasoning or predicting when and why it happens.  Sometimes love happens when you least expect it.

Rhett and Ava will always be my favorite!  But there were other romances within this series, and we got to see where some of them led!  On top of the romances, I loved watching how trust played such an important part in this story.  With double agents, and those they weren't sure they could trust, they had to learn to work together for the greater good.  It was nerve wracking, yet so fun seeing how it all would unfold!
Renegades forever.

Sacrifice was another important element in this series.  The threats that were forced upon them.  And the situations they were put in were gut wrenching.  Yet those with pure hearts and bravery in their veins stood up and did all they could to protect those that they loved and cared for.  Those that they realized had become their family.  It was such a powerful recurring theme within this book that I loved!
We would make a difference.

Also, we were introduced to new characters, from the Korean ISAN.  Quite a few of the chapters were narrated by Hae Jin, who reminded me of Ava in certain ways.  She had a boyfriend, a found family, and was desperate to get out of the clutches of ISAN.  But I was never able to find that connection to her, or her team members.  Regardless, she was so easy to like and I loved her fearless ways!
Sometimes wishes do come true when you blow on a dandelion.

With different teams working together for the greater good, life and death situations, and love gracing the pages, this was such a fabulous wrap up to this series.  Yet, there were still things that needed to be done in the world.  Other countries where ISAN needed to be brought to their knees.  So, Ting skillfully set up this series to have spinoffs, which I’m sure fans will adore.

It is time to make a stand against ISAN. It is not clear whether or not they can win, but they know they will lose it all if they do nothing.

This is book five of the series and its conclusion. I strongly recommend starting at the beginning.

This is a science fiction story with a dystopian setting. The story is well written and easy to read with a well developed setting that is full of interesting tidbits. The characters are also well done and plenty of depth to the overall story. The plot moves at a good pace and includes plenty of action and intrigue, making for a very engaging story. Overall, I quite enjoyed this series and I look forward to seeing what our author creates next.

Highly recommended.

Spectacularly done!
AVA is my favorite so far, but this series has been one of my favorites from the very beginning. Bringing all the feels, tons of action, & drama galore. The characters are diverse, original, & addicting. The world thoroughly entertaining (and, yes, sometimes heart wrenching) with a plot that’s ever evolving as we see Ting’s bigger picture come forth in each installment. The dandelion field scene though!!!!! That was the absolute best!!! Truly spectacular!

The final battle is upon us, and Mary Ting's Ava delivers a pulse-pounding conclusion to the International Sensory Assassin Network series that will leave fans breathless. As someone who thrives on stories where the stakes are high, the action is relentless, and the heroes are pushed to their limits, Ava was everything I hoped for and more.

In this explosive finale, the days of hiding are over for Ava and her fellow rebels. The battle for supremacy is no longer a distant threat but a present reality, and Ava's journey to South Korea is fraught with danger at every turn. Ting masterfully crafts a narrative that’s as much about survival as it is about trust and sacrifice. Ava is no longer just fighting for her own life—she’s fighting for the fate of the rebels and the future of a world that’s teetering on the edge of destruction.

One of the most compelling aspects of Ava is the way it forces its characters into impossible situations. Ava's mission to bring down the facility manufacturing the CODE army is a suicide mission in all but name. The tension is palpable as she must rely on fellow conspirators, never knowing who she can truly trust. The risks she takes are enormous, and the sense of urgency Ting creates keeps you glued to the page, heart pounding with every twist and turn.

The South Korean setting adds a new layer of intrigue and complexity to the story, especially when Ava is captured and taken to the Korean ISAN base. The secrets she uncovers there are game-changers, not just for the course of the war but for the very foundation of what she’s been fighting for. Ting’s ability to weave in these shocking revelations while maintaining the breakneck pace of the plot is nothing short of masterful.

Ava’s emotional journey is just as gripping as the physical battles she faces. The weight of the world rests on her shoulders, and the decisions she must make are gut-wrenching. When the rebel mountain base is threatened, the stakes become intensely personal, and Ava is forced into a no-win situation where compliance might mean the death of everyone she loves. The moral dilemmas she faces add depth to her character and make her struggles all the more relatable.

For fans of dystopian thrillers, Ava is a must-read. It’s not just a story of survival; it’s a story of resilience, of fighting against overwhelming odds, and of finding strength in the most unexpected places. The action is relentless, the stakes couldn’t be higher, and the emotional payoffs are deeply satisfying.

Mary Ting has crafted a series that’s as thrilling as it is thought-provoking, and Ava is the perfect conclusion to this epic saga. If you’ve followed Ava’s journey from the beginning, this final installment will not disappoint. It’s a story of courage, sacrifice, and the unbreakable bonds of friendship that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

“AVA” is the 5th book in “International Sensory Assassin Network” series by international award winning author Mary Ting. No one was more surprised than I was that I loved this book and the entire series. This series falls under the Sci-fi/Dystopian genre which is not my favorite genre however this book blew me away. A friend of mine encouraged me to read it and after the first book “ISAN” I was hooked.

The book follows Ava and her usual crew through many adventures trying to shut down the horrible group taking innocent children and basically turning them into robotic assassins. We have unlikely allies and even more hurtful betrayal from those that were close to the group. This book includes everything you could ask for in a storyline intrigue, action, betrayal, sadness, joy and most importantly love with a surprises at the end!!

I ugly cried with that last few chapters of this wonderful dystopian rollercoaster of a book! I loved “AVA” so much. The whole series is incredible, Wow! Mary Ting has created a dystopian world that we can relate to and is not so far removed from our actual lives. The characters are lovable, personable and you can definitely relate to the feelings that they have. You find yourself happily trapped in this world and experiencing these things along with all the characters involved. Even if this is not your usual genre I would definitely pick up a copy of the first book in the series and I promise you will complete the series and love it!!

Note: This Review contains NO spoilers

What an amazing and riveting conclusion to the series! Filled with action, adventure, espionage, and drama, AVA brings the ISAN (International Sensory Assassin Network) series to an emotional and climactic close. Mary Ting has brought to life this dystopian world filled with complex and diverse characters in her incredibly imaginative writings.

Starting with ISAN (book 1), Mary Ting introduced me to unique and talented characters in a world filled with espionage and secrets. The following books after, took me on a dangerous and adventurous journey that revealed many truths for these characters. With every turn of the page, as I read on, I was at the "edge of my seat" with anxiety and anticipation to find out who survives and what revelations these characters encountered. By the end of each book, we are left wondering what is to come for these characters.

Now, comes AVA , the final installment in the ISAN series, and Mary Ting does not disappoint. Tension is high with impending confrontations and obstacles these characters faced and will face. Again, my heart raced as I continued reading. By the end, I was in tears in joy and sadness... all at once. I was completely and emotionally drained after reading this final installment of these characters' journey.

What an amazing ending to a fantastic series! I have mixed emotions seeing this is the end of the story but we can imagine the future our characters will have with the epic finish the author beautifully penned! The characters are relatable and brave it makes you want root for them as you're engrossing into their lives trying to make life not only better for themselves but for others. I can't rave enough about this series and this book,it has everything you want in a story and I absolutely relished the pleasure of being enthralled into their world! Now all we need is to be able to see this series come to life on the big screen so all the world to see! But for now I highly urge you dive into this book and series!

This was my favorite book of the series! Prepare yourself for a lot of emotions in this one. The main characters and some of my favorite secondary characters all featured in this book. Some survive and some don't. Some families are built and others crushed (along with my heart!). The whole series is about found family and the way this ends is bittersweet. Lots of twists and turns, as is the author's way, but the ending left me satisfied that justice was done by all my favorites. I'm sad the series is over, but that just means I can go back and read them all one after the other! (I actually already started on that!)

Get the tissues ready! If you have followed Ava and Rhett’s journey you know it hasn’t been easy, but they will do “whatever it takes” to survive. This book is a fantastic continuation, and closing to their journey. Mary has a way of drawing you into the story, making you fall in love with the characters, and breaking your heart. Get ready for a wild ride in the final installment of Ava and Rhett’s journey, one you will surely love!!

Bittersweet Ending to a Roller Coaster Series

I guess I want this to be the ending, but I am not 100% sure. I hurt for lives carelessly lost. I am angry at the greedy, power hungry humans. I am happy for families found. hett and Ava demonstrate love and devotion to each other and the greater mission. I won't give anything away, but I will say I did not like Mr. San's ending. I would have definitely chosen something more fitting. The ISAN series was an enjoyable ride. Maybe a novella is in order to give us a looksee into the future and past, or maybe there will be a couple of branch off series. There are enough unanswered questions to do boty.

OMG, then most amazing end to this series. Author Mary Ting has tied up all of the characters and loose endings in this story. Buckle up as this installment is fast paced and will give you all of the highs and lows that Mary Ting is known for in this series. I chuckled, gasped swooned and cried. I am going to miss these characters.

The end is coming.....

The characters were still all amazing!! If it weren't for Ava, Rhett and their friends/family and every challenge they met head on, I wouldn't have left a piece of my heart within the pages of this book!! Each of those characters were so courageous, strong and brave and I think I'd like to be them when I grow up!!

The storyline was.....PHENOMENAL and I just couldn't put the book down. It was written so beautifully from beginning to end. And to think this is all over makes my heart break and was sad and happy at the same time. Make sure you got a full box of tissues because I cried buckets of tears and just couldn't stop. I must say this author has outdone herself and I can't imagine a different outcome with everything all the characters went through until the end. This is a MUST read but please start with book one for the entire experience. I highly recommend this book and series!!
