The Eagle's Web: A Sanctuary Story

Rate this book
Web Byrd’s story is spread across most of the 20th century. It’s the tale of a good man’s adventures, loves, heartbreaks, successes, failures, and challenges – both physical and emotional. It revolves around his relationships with two very special families from opposite ends of the social spectrum. The cast also includes bikers, prostitutes, killers, the KKK. corrupt elected officials, and cops – both good and bad. Web was the third in his family line of successful lawyers in the Southern town of Sanctuary. The town is a character in the story as much as the people playing their roles.

It is unfair for me to give my review since I am the author. This is a historical novel and the biography of a man who never lived. It is the story of the loves and challenges of a good man. Reviews I have received have confirmed to me that this is a very worthwhile and satisfying story. It revolves around a small town lawyer's relationship with two very special families from vastly different backgrounds. It challenges outdated southern social traditions. The story is played out over most of the 20th century against the backdrop of depressions, the dust bowl, two world wars and Vietnam. Give it a read and provide a review - positive or negative.

I have been following Mr. Malone from his first book “ Scooter Trash” where his very good character development inspires the following book. The Eagles Web. It’s a very good book. I love the way he takes a character from Scooter Trash and gives them a previous life. I hope he does many more.
