Jessica Gadziala lives in rural New Jersey with her parrots, dogs, and an ever-growing collection of houseplants. A lifelong dreamer, she’s been writing stories since childhood and published her first book in 2015. When not at her desk, she’s usually feeding backyard birds, rewatching crime dramas, period pieces, and 90s supernatural TV shows, or adding to her towering stacks of unread books.
•| ⊱✿⊰ |• 3,3 Stars •| ⊱✿⊰ |• Catie meets Caleb (and Toddy, the cat), in a cemetery during a zombie apocalypse, while she was pursuing her cheater ex-boyfriend, after he was turned, to cut off his head. This is a funny short story (56 pages).
Since this one doesn't have description, it's kinda like this:
"No one fell in love in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Except, maybe, these two... * This is a short (15k) short story with some insta-love, insta-lust, steam, and a hea"
Wish I’d read this sooner! Yes it’s very short, but I’m not marking it down for that, because although short it fully encapsulates Jessica’s writing. How in a few words she’s able to draw you in straight away and make the characters feel real.
I know what it looks like, don't look at the cover, LOOK AT ME The book is really good I swear😭🤌❤️ Like, love in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? CLICK
'Estuve casi tentada a hacer lo impensable. Un amigo en el apocalipsis.'

Love in the Time of Zombies de Jessica Gadziala
Argumento:
I should've DNF'ed this book earlier! Caleb, the love interest, is so fucking dumb and unreal, I want to laugh and cringe at the same time. I would rather be a zombie in a zombie apocalypse than be a human forced to be near him or worked with him. Our main character, Catie, was bland af and doesn't have any personality at all. Overall, very disappointing.
A sweet and silly insta lust romance about two people surviving an apocalypse together. There's a pet cat, silent raves in the graveyard and years of pasta, bread and red wine. These two were so fun. Such a sweet little novella that made me laugh profusely. Both love interests are human btw.
Yes, it's a very quick read, but in the Jessica Gadziala's style, very entertaining and exciting. You'll think that no one fell in love in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Except, the two main characters of this story do, and it's a very interesting and definitely exciting, a little creepy love story about two people, that met in the most unusual place and time in the human history and fall in love with each other.
It’s quick, but masterfully told tale of post apocalypse love. Catie with the C and ie, has been riding out the apocalypse in her apartment over an Italian restaurant; she’s the eat pray love and drink lots of wine of the apocalypse. Caleb did real quick boot scoot off a zombie infested army base to find his way to a secure mansion and was adopted by a cool kittycat. Overall the story is Kind of giving me Andrew McCarthy Vibes from the post apocalyptic movie he did back in the day. Read this is you like zombie or post apocalyptic stories
It's a small mini book. I loved reading it. It was a light read. A beautiful love story in the midst of survival from zombies. This is unlike any apocalypse books with brutal bloody environment. This one feels like a vacation. An insta-love story. Maybe I love it for it's fast pace. I mean angst is good but sometimes you just are in it for the fluff.
Trying to figure out what it says about me that I like this more than any of the zombie horror books I've ever read. It's got zombies, humor, great characters, a bit of spice...I mean...what more could a girl want? But in all seriousness...this was just a really fun read and exactly what I wanted right now.
Another cute quick zombie apocalypse romance by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sort of an opposites attract thing, she’s an introvert and she literally found him silent raving in rubber ducky board shorts in the cemetery with glow sticks around his neck. The banter and humor was good.
The spice was spicing and surprised me for how short the book was!
Zombies and apocalyptic times aren’t normally something I read, but these two books are so so good. This one had such a great balance of humor, caution, and heat. Loved it and can’t wait to read it again!
Cute read, if that can be said of a book about zombies. Great banter between the hero and heroine. Just enough action and a touch of romance. Overall, a fun short story.
For such a very short story, it was good. There were a lot of laughs because of Caleb who was quite the colourful character. Catie was a sweet introvert trapped without someone to interact with. (I wonder if she had any physical books to read)
Sometimes I love these little novellas. They’re great to read during my lunch break. This one definitely made me laugh. Check it out if you love romance and zombies.
Love in the Time of Zombies is a cute little story about finding love even in the worst of situations. It's a fast read, plus Catie and Caleb are sweet.
“Does Taylor have something that fits this? She was the queen of love and heartbreak songs.” -Caleb, from Love in the Time of Zombies by Jessica Gadziala
This was such a cute book. I love the story line and Caleb and Catie with a C and ie. It was Fun , refreshing , and just the right amount of chopping up zombies,😂.
