I fell for a pile of alien goo. But the harder I fell for it, the more it evolved. It fed off my pleasure. It shaped itself to please me.
But sometimes it wasn’t pleasure I wanted, So he changed himself until I was happy, Until he could give me the precious pain I craved.
He delivered his pain like a song. Each note matched the rhythm of my pleasure.
He few and grew only on what made me feel good, So the pain he gave me always hurt just right.
He’s still changing every night. Each morning I wake up to a new body beside me. But it’s always him, just polished that much closer to my idea of perfection.
But to feed my need for pain, He’s reached out for something dark, And it’s growing inside him.
That dark thing growing in him is hurting me better than ever. He’s playing the song to startling new heights of ecstasy. My body is his instrument. My screams are his voice.
But no matter how good it hurts, I won’t let him stop.

This was a quick and quirky book that had you wondering if some day in the future we can all build our perfect man that gives you everything you desires and need. Klara wakes up from a cryogenic sleep to find that she has been stripped of all the implants that made her who she was or so she thought and when a voice speaks to her she asks about the war and if they one but it tells her it’s over and she is on her way to Venus but first she must let him in. When she sees a blue blob of goo that’s speaking to her it changes before her eyes to give her pleasure she hasn’t felt before and every time he /it does something different to pleasure her but when she wants something a little different he is unsure but does it to make her happy and if she’s happy then he is as well. But when her desires start to go dark and she wants pain with her pleasure he is worried that his evil side of his kind will come for her and steal her away and she will only know pain and will ever be happy again. How can they defeat the evil that is coming for her and does he transform to be everything she needs in her perfect man.

I enjoyed reading this book, it was a short fast read and totally different then anything else I’ve read. I think the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it just felt like there was something missing that I couldn’t identify, I finished the book and it held my attention but it didn’t grip me tightly to where I couldn’t set it down to do something and come back to it later, not sure if that makes sense. It was good, I liked seeing the evolution of the alien and how he literally becomes what she desires. I also liked the concept of good vs evil, I can’t say much more without giving it all away.

★”Little Klara,” he said, “you still don’t understand what I am. I am what you want.”★
—>>> I was drawn along with Klara’s incredible and unique new situation upon her gradual awakening, one which featured an alien entity she did not realize would become her new lifeline. I think after Chapter 10, the focus had switched from Klara and her alien’s cozy little world bubble and onto other new horizons, an interesting chain of events follows, but the storyline seemed all the more quirky and fun because of it all.
Klara awakens in her cryochamber aboard a spaceship and finds an alien lifeform on board with an offer to help her if she’ll just open herself to him. At first the alien is just a blob, but as Klara begins to figure out what she wants, the alien reforms himself in many configurations to provide her with pleasure, and the pain the desires. Klara’s desire for pain opens them up to danger and the alien will have to learn, with some help, to intermingle pleasure and pain. Hot and steamy alien sexy action in such unusual packaging.
Arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Ok this is a very strange story so this women wakes up after the earth is destroyed to a spore that grows to be her lover. let me say this one think if guys really would grow to be what a women wanted .he have to change ever time depending on the book we just finished lol . so yes this story was very interesting but different.
Klara wakes up from cryosleep alone, hearing a voice in her head telling her it let it in. ‘It’ being a gelatinous blue blob. The blob morphs and forms according to her desires … and that’s just the start of the weird and wonderful! I loved this book, it’s complete trippy-ness and out-there premises. This story was definitely not your carbon-copy sci-fi romance!
I was fascinated with this book and an alien lifeform that morphs and shapes itself into what the heroine needs. It definitely was unique and I was completely enthralled. Steamy chemistry between Klara and the alien who initially was only a nameless blob of goo. The story was exciting and I could wait to see where it was going. 5 stars.
