Love their Love for each other, was interesting 😈❤️🔥🖤 Grate characters & plot…but needs editing-or something is just off/rushed job??…, I’ve enjoyed other books from this writer-so I know she’s good, some of the other characters were interesting too + those horny ghosts 👻👻👻

This had all of the drama, surprises, and smutty goodness I’ve come to love about all of Emilia Rose’s stories that I’ve read!
Xorgor may hide from most people but, his obsession with a certain human woman leads him to following her around town and being her dark secret protector in the shadows. Even though he’s from a royal family, he never quite feels like he belongs he definitely works hard to stay out of the way. Once he and Maxine finally have an in-person meeting, she can’t stop thinking about him. They have serious chemistry even though they both seem to have doubts about themselves and don’t feel comfortable in their own skin. I loved that they find their family and acceptance with each other 😍
There is some seriously spicy fun between these two! Xorgor has some… extra… help that comes in a surprising form 😉🥵😏 I won’t ruin it for you because really, its way more fun to read it.🔥🔥🔥

Another great book by Emilia Rose 👏 Take a trip to the City of Durnbone where you meet so many interesting characters and even get a few glimpses of some characters from other books like Four Masked Wolves. And the Shop keep and his kinky assistant. 😉
Xorgor is a half breed and thinks he is u-g-l-y with no alibi, ugly. Maxine however, thinks she is hideous and undeserving of affection. These two peas in a pod find themselves in a why pick me relationship where they don't always communicate the best with their words, but let their bodies do most of the talking. Watching their character development and how they build each other's self esteem up was wonderful. During their back and forth feelings and woe is me, they take a deep dive into the world of demons and who will be the next to sit on the royal throne and why Xorgor thinks it will never be him, but oh the twists and turns are so juicy. That ending though 🤌😘
I read this in one sitting and loved the story of Maxine and Xorgor. Of course, I loved seeing the glimpse characters from other books in the Durnbone universe. If you love a bit of spicy romance in your monsters and demons reads, this book is for you.

Okay, let's start with what I love about this book apart from the names. I appreciate that the characters aren't what society deems as beautiful. Xorgor killing for her and the stalker tendencies... swoon. The spice of this book was off the charts and them wanting to protect one another. I also love the fact they absolutely were into one another from the start and still thought the other one wasn't. Now my actual rating for the book is 3.7 stars because despite how much I love certain factors about it, there were some things I didn't like. Mostly it felt some things that were more on the serious side were brushed off or it might have been that I prefer to have had them be doved into more than they actually were. There were a few things that seemed inconsistent in my head but I also let it go once the smut began. If you want a spicy read with character growth dealing with self acceptance with an alright plot but not as strong as I would have liked then this book is for you. It also happens to be a fast read so there is that.

Xorgor and Maxine are so amazing! Xorgor always loved Maxine but followed her from afar until the night he dropped his family ring and she took it home. He watched her have her fun and joined in without her knowing. The chemistry between these two is amazing and they both overcome their insecurities about how they look. With so many people bullying them, it is no wonder they had a hard time believing someone could love them, but their love holds them together. Follow this amazing story of the "ugly" turned swan.

This is a fun, busy and at times, dark tale of seeing a person's or in this case monsters true self! Neither Xorgor or Maxine have ever truly felt loved, come see what happens when they're finally forced to face each other.

There was action, humor, steam and lots of emtions. There is also a bit of a twist.
Xorgor and Maxine were both bullied their whole lives and were insecure because of it. My heart went out to both of them. I loved seeing them come together. They were the support and love each other needed.
Overall, I really enjoyed it.
Such a rewarding and happy ending!

Xorgor has been hiding his true form while he watches Maxine because he doesn’t think anyone could love him with how he looks. Maxine is a bit withdrawn and hides herself because she feels she’s ugly and not worthy of love. These two are perfect for each other because they can see who they truly are beneath the scars and jagged teeth. I enjoyed the dynamics between them and they definitely had some steamy scenes.
It took me a little while to get into the bigger storyline and see the book was more than just steamy scenes. Overall I enjoyed the book and am interested to see what other storylines Emilia Rose comes up with for this world.

Heavy on the female descriptions. I wouldn't be surprised if it was written by a man. It was not my cup of tea but if that's you flavour then drink up.
