Okay, I love Lovecraft, I really do. His ideas, the way he had such respect for science that he really thought about processes etc and provides lots of detail, but I do sometimes fond that a lot to wade through and ATMOM is probably one of the more difficult stories to read because of that. Saying that, I can't possibly give the genius that is Lovecraft any less than full five stars. This *is* a great book but probably not the very best of his to start with.
