Olivia is the supermodel of King’s Fall, agency loves her, booked solid, general public sweet heart, aloof and afloat in life. Until it all comes crashing down one night when she realizes her closest friends are her worst enemies. Everything feels fake. But Viktor? He’s real. Really funny, flirty, and energetic, he is more than just a bartender taking pity on a pretty woman.

Things get heated quickly as Viktor awakens something in the doll faced Olivia. No longer hollow, she’s smiling and laughing, even flirting too. She feels alive again. Being sober and constantly worried about slipping up again for ten years is tough. From ex-band members showing up unannounced, crooked deals with jealous coworkers, and the wedding of a fake friend looming over them, the two come to realize that… life is what you make it and love is more than skin deep.

This author has stolen my heart with her monster romance books!

This book was emotional and everything I need in my monster romance. I can not get enough of the banter that goes on with the main characters. I think it is really what draws me in. The plot is amazing and the spice is delicious! Highly recommend this author!

Viktor was such a goofball and a giver. He needed some self esteem boosting to achieve his full potential after a… complicated exit from the music scene. Olivia was a well written character who was 10 years sober and still dealt with the desire to drink. She was sweet and kind, but a terrible judge of character. Their whirlwind romance brought them both out of their funks and let them feel the joy in what they loved again.

I love the dialogue and characterization of Viktor and Olivia!! He very much has the theatrical spirit of Eddie Munson, and Olivia is a perfect mix of sweet and sincere, mischievous and playful. Their dynamic was refreshingly different from a lot of romances I read, which made the hot parts hotter!!!

The conversation they have before *activities* ripped my soul from my body in the best way possible. I had to send one line to a friend with no context and she was like, SOLD. We love a man who will submit and be poetic about it!!

Olivia's arc with her sobriety and breaking away from fake friends who want to see her fail was incredibly satisfying - and seeing her pass on what she knows to a younger model and helping boost Ashley was kind and wholesome and still with her playful flair.

Celeste steals the show anytime they're on the page and I ADORE them! I hope in some future short story they direct a music video for Viktor or something because they're just too fun!

Getting to watch Olivia and Viktor bring out the best in each other, build their confidence, and thrive together was such a joy. Such a sweet, easy read, great for when you're going through something hard or just want a fun distraction.

Okay so I loved this book!! The relationship between the two main characters is just heart melting. Viktor is one of my top 10 book boyfriends. Instantly supportive and caring for Olivia. I love the half fae/ half fiend aspect. New monster type 😍 the fact that Olivia is so sweet and somewhat shy yet a Domme is so just… *chefs kiss*. This story was fantastic, the relationship was so beautiful and the spice was 🔥🔥🌶️🌶️. I loved this story so much.

Victor and Olivia…oh this couple is one of my top 10 favorites. They chemistry between these two is fantastic! The way Victor turns to mush for her and the way Olivia can finally be herself with him. Just makes me so happy. This book really hit me in feels because I know what it’s like to have mean girls be your fake friend and hope and wish and want you to fail. So to see Olivia show them that she was stronger then they ever gave her credit for made me so proud.

Lizzie once again knocks it out of the park with this one. Love love love this story.

This book was pitched to me as “Eddie and Chrissy” fix it book but if they lived in a Dungeons and Dragons inspired modern world. Jokes on Author Lizzie Strong—this reader has NEVER watched Stranger Things! But how the tables have turned as I started reading this book and was instantly captivated by the story of a Nymph model on the verge of making a mistake and the charming Fiend bartender who sees someone in need.

This book is for people who love flirting, America’s Next Top Model photoshoots, and watching people recover and move forward from past hurts. Also, for anyone who has ever had toxic friends? Please read this. It shines a spotlight on how damaging it is to invest your time with people who are not for you.

And for my spicy people—it’s spicy. Lizzie’s good about adding an unexpected element to her spice and there’s a decent amount of it in here.This is my second Lizzie Strong book, but it is by far my favorite I’ve read. Check content warnings, pick her up, read it, and remember to write a review!

I absolutely loved this book. The characterization, chemistry and goofy dialogues between Olivia and Viktor made the characters super easy to relate to and gets you invested in their stories both together and separately. I walked into this story not knowing what I was really getting into other than an a piqued interest in the D&D aspects of the world building. I wasn't disappointed. You can tell Lizzie spent a lot of time fleshing out scenes, characters, and descriptions so that you can perfectly imagine every detail...especially during the spicy scenes.
All in all, if you love a well written, flirty, fluffy romance that gets into some hard truths about toxic relationships and the importance of a good support system AND steamy and intriguing spice then this is definitely a book for you. Happy reading

This book was absolutely adorable! I love the relationship between Viktor and Olivia! Having an odd meeting, bringing out her past demons and him supporting her, even though they just met, was so touching! Having them constantly support each other, especially with people from their past, was nice to have, building themselves to be better people.

Now as far as the spicy scenes.. wow! I absolutely love it! Her taking control was so hot and I laughed at the way she tried to get him to call her mommy!

Again Lizzie, your work is phenomenal as always and I’m so happy I got to ARC read this!!!! I finished it all in the same day I received the ARC! Well within 24 hours, I finished at about 2am, right before writing the review!

I don't think I've ever read a book with such an adorable couple! Following the journey of Victor and Olivia, this book was the perfect amount of smut, drama, and pure goofiness.

I absolutely loved how the characters support each other, through obstacles and growth. Reading how Victor and Olivia tackle real world obstacles and never let each other give up, just melts my heart. And the spicy scenes....they were 🔥🔥🔥. When I finished this book, I immediately wanted to read it again, it's just that good.

Funny, sweet, and immediately endearing. I really appreciated the dominant FMC and submissive MMC dynamic done with such a lighthearted approach. Often D/s is portrayed as Very Serious Business, so this was like a breath of fresh air. Viktor is a gem - funny, flirty, and immediately endearing, he still has genuine depth. Olivia is a slow-blooming character (ha, see what I did there?) whose growth will have you cheering by the end. I loved how physically and professionally confident she was, while still having very real demons to address. Strong creates such vivid characters in a world I’d dearly love to visit. Oh, and the smut is top tier.

I loved the development of Olivia and Viktor’s relationship. Viktor was there for Olivia in one of her darkest times and just supported her. I loved the way he put himself out there. And Olivia supporting Viktor in his music career the way she did was so sweet.

The spice was amazing. I don’t want to give too much away but the haunted forest scene!!! Eeeekkk. My favorite quote of the book was “Pour some sugar on me, mommy!”

It took a few chapters for me to get into this book but once I did, I was hooked. This is my first time really reading monster smut and I can’t go back from it now 😂.

This was an ARC read for me and I’m so happy I found this author. Her writing is light and fun and she knows how to write a cinnamon roll of a man. All women need a Victor in their life.

My only complaint is that the chapters are soooo long. One of them was 85 pages!

The King’s Fall Series is absolutely a favorite of mine. Lizzie Strong always writes the type of books I love to read. There’s always an amazing relationship dynamic, with little to no angst between the main couple, enticing drama outside of the relationship that adds to the story beautifully, and the perfect spice to plot balance that has me immersed and entertained the entire time, grinning and kicking my feet like a fan girl. I didn’t realize how much I needed a more submissive MMC from her than when I read this. IT WAS GREAT! So many fun spicy elements to go along with it as well; tail play, aphrodisiac venom, vine bondage, it was amazing.

I loved Olivia and Viktor’s dynamic so much, nothing makes me smile more than a goofy MMC absolutely in love with his girl, who is more than happy to let him make her laugh the anxiety away. I loved how Olivia really was just a ball of light, ready to spoil and help the people she cares about. Learning to love herself and embrace her interest was so sweet, especially after everything she’s been through. The entire time I just wanted the best for both of them, they both grew so much and had so many fun, adorable and sexy moments together. A 100% new favorite of mine!

O.o Lizzie has done it again, dear reader…I'm starting to think I'm addicted to her books. I was simply *devouring* what I knew to be the end ish of the book….and it ended. Just like that. Fortunately I have another book of hers to arc read next.

I related to Olivia about toxic friends…particularly as someone with #AuDHD, I don't always recognise them as what they are…or their red flags. I also related to her wanting to gift all the things, lol. Gifting isn't my receiving love language, but it's one of my showing ones. I love giving the best gifts.

Viktor is a trip. I related to him being a people-pleaser. It's something I struggle with sometimes, I've had to do a lot of work on myself to get rid of the worst of it. My brain likes to threaten (if not actually) to shut down in anything resembling conflict. I loved that he's bioluminescent, it made for some really interesting aspects for some scenes.

I want to read more about Connor and Olivia's protégé!

If you enjoy half fiend/half fae characters (or mixed race), nymphs, sugar mommies, domme/sub interactions, or even urban fantasy in general…I strongly suggest this book.

Another fun installment in the King’s Fall universe! This book has a small tie-in with The Bugbears Heiress but works well as a standalone.

The FMC is a nymph supermodel, a recovering alcoholic, and a chronic people pleaser. The MMC is a half-fiend, half-fae guitarist down on his luck and working at a dive bar. They meet when she’s tempted to relapse, and he distracts her with his wit and charm.

The dynamic is sunshine/sunshine, with both MCs supporting each other through career and personal struggles. I pretty much smiled through the entire book! There are some trigger warnings and a bit of creative anatomy, which was new to me (an impressive feat considering how much monster romance I’ve read.)

A fun, cozy romance with super sweet characters!

I absolutely adored and loved this!!! This was so good! I flew through it with a smile on my face. So cute and fun.

It was a straight forward story of two people finding love. No crazy plot, twists or breakups, just a love story. It was so sweet! It felt so authentic, it really felt like I was reading two people falling for each other.

Loved that they were both monsters. Loved their banter. I'm not sold on the whole "Daddy" business/kink, but in this, there was a bit of light hearted "Mommy" and I freaking ate it up! Loved it hahaha 🤭🤭🤭 Loved the joy and healing they found in each other. Love the King's Fall Universe Lizzie has created.

Spent the day reading this and it was a perfect Sunday. One of those days you pick up a great book that fits your mood perfectly, actually makes you happier and reminds you why you love reading.

Does Lizzie ever not knock it out of the park? This was fantastic. Olivia and Viktor are delicious af together. The spice and banter and sweetness are all just so beautiful.
I loved how Lizzie dealt with Olivia's sobriety and the fact that even after 10 years sober, you can still have weak moments where you want to throw all that progress away. It's always a journey, and some days are harder than others.
Viktor makes me wanna sing "go little rockstar" and I absolutely love how much he cares for everyone around him... even the little nymph who comes into the bar ready to throw away her hard work.

SO GOOD! This is such a great read! Both Olivia and Victor are complex characters with their own pasts and they are both deeply emotional. It’s like their meeting was exactly what the other was looking for in life.

I’m not sure I’ve ever known someone or read someone as genuine and sunshiney as Victor and I can see why absolutely anyone - but especially Olivia would fall for him. Their coupling is so sweet and thoughtful the whole book through and by the end I was SO HAPPY for them both!

Still need convincing? This book has tail action, potent venom when he comes, light femme domme, and absolute top shelf banter that I’m not sure has been matched in anything I’ve read.

Super cute story with wonderfully funny characters

I’ll say my only reason for not giving 5 starts was the pacing felt a bit strange to me, but that could just be because this isn’t a genre I usually read.

Olivia and Viktor are absolutely adorable! They breathe life into one another and help one another find their true selves, perfect for a sweet love story!

I loved the glow in the dark tidbit as well as the rest of the world building.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sweet monster romance read with a HEA!

Seriously, the male MC is theatrical and funny and had me giggling over and over again. I loved the FMC journey as she navigated toxic friendships, and learning how to stick up for herself. The character arcs for this book was PHENOMENAL. Can't wait to really more fuzzy romances from this author.
