I'm no hero,
I've been called crazy, psycho, a deranged bastard.
Sick, twisted junkie was one of my favorites.
Never much cared for the name my mama gave me either.
Until I heard it from her sweet lips…

She has no idea the kind of danger she's in,
nobody does… except me.
I was there the night those men hurt her.
They wanted to kill her.
I was the reason they failed.
The residual damage erased her past instead.

I'm going to ensure she has a future.
I don’t know who she was before.
It doesn’t really matter now.
She's mine, and I’ll burn down this entire fu**ing city
to keep her safe and in my arms, in my bed, in my crazy life.

I'm sure those men think they’re hardened criminals,
But I grew up surrounded by outlaw bikers, b***h.

When she’s not sipping coffee from her “World’s Okayest Author” mug or herding her four cats away from her keyboard, Gypsy writes character-driven, emotional chaos with a side of, “What did I just read?” Hardcore smut fan? Same, sis, same.

Have you ever read a book and immediately upon finishing thought-what the hell did I just read? It almost felt like I was watching a well nuanced action/mystery flick. It started slow, but then it kicked into overdrive. My mind is still reeling a bit from everything that went down in this story. Parts of it disgusted me a little, but I couldn't stop reading. I'm glad I kept reading, the payoff is there and it is big. That ending! I won't ruin it for you. I smiled and read that last chapter again. If this is the beginning of a series-I'm in. I can't imagine what could happen next. I liked Sara, Tru gives me pause, but the rest of the character were interesting, I want to know more about them now, especially Butch.

I’m confused....contains spoilers!!

Let’s start by saying that this book was slightly confusing. I got the first part, husband and wife. Husband thinks wife has betrayed him, she files, she leaves, she’s attacked, in steps the hero, husband has regrets, wants wife back, BOOM! Betrayed by more family....heroine can’t remember anything, got it. In steps the hero, saves the day, becomes everything for the broken girl. Fast forward and we have the brother to the hero, a house, money, happily ever after!
Maybe someone can explain to me what this family was after that they set Sarah Jane up for? Did the husband ever figure it out? He’s dead. Never mind.
It was ok, I think I just like a little less perspective from everyone else, and more on tru and Sarah.

This is the beginning of a fabulous MC Romance series. The story is very original and you get a few twists along the way. Tru and Sara are two people who, through a series of crimes and happenstance, fit together like a hand and glove. My only complaint is it started off a bit slow. You have to keep going to find out what a gem this book is. If you hang on for the ride, it's well worth it. Buy it, folks! I can't wait for the next one.

So different

The writing style of this author is so different. It makes the story seem more play like, than book like. I liked it though.

I loved the characters Tru and Sara. For all she'd been through from all her in laws, she came out the other end stronger. And to find Tru, and eventually his extended family, was fantastic.

I can't wait to read the next one.

I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read. It was the first book in a new mc series and a new author for me to read. I really enjoyed the insta connection that Sara and Tru had. How Tru stepped up when Sara needed him. I can’t wait to see what happens next. Totally recommend this book

A difficult read not least cos you just get glimpses of what's going on, no depth just like flashes of memory.

It's not dark or gritty other than fmc is attacked st the beginning.

I'll definitely read on to the mc series n see where that goes.

True knighy

This was quite a gritty story that I wish was longer poor Sara has been through some serious times and survived with her baby and her Tru who literally saved her and her unborn son. I look forward to the rest of this series and hope we see more of Sara and Tru

I think there's something to be said in the crudeness of this story. I'm not one who will spell everything out for the reader, which means you not only have to read it but between the lines as well.
This story stands out in my Mayhem series not only because it is a novella, but because it's told exclusively in first person pov. It's not my preferred pov to write in, not to tell a very character-driven tale with multiple povs. I may revert back to this style for any future character-focused novellas in this series. But the bulk of the Mayhem story needs to be told in the third person. It's the foundation for my biker universe and all the series(stories) to come. If you give my works a chance, thank you. I love the feedback so drop a line or two and speak your peace.

Two Broken People = An Awesome MC Romance!!

Dark ✔
Steamy ✔
Great world and character building ✔
Emotional ✔
Well written ✔

The start to this series is full blast. The author introduces many key players in this world which deepen the overall story. The relationship between Tru and Sarah is sweet, Hot, and perfectly developed. The tone of this MC is dark and very interesting! My only regret with this book is that we didn't learn more about Tru's past.

I was aware going into this book that the writing wasn't great, being the author's first book. The writing and punctuation was a mess but I really love the idea behind the story line. I'm looking forward to reading more books by Gypsy Reed and seeing how her writing improves and stories are developed.

A really great story that when you read it you'll want to really pay attention like read between the lines kind of thing. I couldn't put this down. A page turner with a few twists. It's so good. Sarah and Tru are definitely quite the pair.

It takes a Tru man to heal a heart he didn’t break and raise a baby he didn’t make.

Tru and Sara Jane are two damaged souls that through some twist of fate have found each other. Sara Jane has amnesia and is pregnant and Tru knows that he has to protect her because he's the only one who can. Great read!!!

I loved this book and all in the series it’s one of the first books I read and could see each and every scene play out like a movie in my head
Wish it could go on and on forever feels like some things are missing and other people need their own stories telling
But maybe that’s me wishing we had all the books
A new favourite author of mine one I will be rereading lots

A different kind of MC series. This is like nothing I’ve ever read before. It covers a gambit of triggers so check them. I started with the Jax Walker series so I had met a few of the characters before. It’s a wild ride. I can’t wait to read the rest in this series.
