Can the warmth of the holiday season thaw an alien warrior’s frozen heart?
When Katerina is faced with an unwanted marriage, she takes her younger sister and runs, only to discover a small band of misfits hiding in some ancient ruins. Their fight for survival grows even harder as the holidays approach - until a massive horned warrior appears in their camp.
Subcommander Jackasarian D'Frostulen never seems to get things right. Stowing away on his leader’s ship - and crashing on the backwater planet of K.R.S. Three - is his worst mistake yet. Knowing that his career, and possibly his life, are over, he runs.
He finds an unlikely place with an enchanting female and her band of orphans. For the first time in his life he’s both wanted and needed. When unexpected difficulties arise, will he fight for the woman and children he’s come to love - or will he run again?
A sweet and steamy holiday tale featuring a feisty heroine, an unlikely hero, and, of course, a very happy ending! (Intended for mature audiences.)
Humans had to start over on another planet. They slowly lost your technology and reverted to a more simple way of life. Many years later, three Tandroki warriors crash-land on the planet.
Jackasarian is half-Tandroki and has always been rejected by his father's people. He stows away on his boss's ship, and when the ship crash-lands, he leaves the ship to investigate a strange power source in the area.
Katarina and her younger sister are on the run from their abusive father. They decide to take a rarely used (possibly haunted) route to reach help before their father can catch up with them.
This is the third book in the series. I liked the first two books, but not the third. The instalove was too insta and the children's dialogue didn't work for me. (The fmc's sister is ten but her dialogue reads like a sixteen year old. Another child has a lisp and the author writes her dialogue phonetically.)
Because Honey Phillips is one of my favorite authors, I would love to give this a higher rating, but I just can't. The spelling errors and grammatical errors were just atrocious, and because their were kids in this, the romance just didn't feel right. How old is the fmc? That was a question that was running through my head the whole time.
okay listen i read so many silly books especially alien books but this was the stupidest book amongst them 🤨 and what kind of a 10 years old child talk about her sister's sex life?? she was acting like 16
We're back on K.R.S. Three and the unsuspecting aliens who keep getting pulled into its orbit. Literally, really. Since, you know, the planet is kind of rough on the spaceships that get too close.
This time around, we have Jack, who was basically a stowaway on his commander's ship. Given that he wasn't supposed to be aboard and his thinks he could have had something to do with the ship crashing (no worries, big guy, that wasn't your fault!), he sets out to investigate a technological signature that (a) isn't supposed to be on this primitive planet and (b) might help them get back home.
Meanwhile, Katerina and her sister are on the run from their not-so-great dad. They stumble over a small group of orphans living in some ruins, Katerina end up helping Jack, they all attempt to make the season a little joyful for the kiddos they've unofficially adopted, and...oh, yeah. There's still that beacon Jack was following that is NOT from technology found on their world.
Let's just say there's a lot going on in a fairly compressed amount of time (Not complaining! The magic of the holidays makes things happen!). Throw in some steamy kisses, an alien who isn't nearly as icy as he seems, and a little blizzard that traps our couple for some quality one on one time. Yesssss!
cw: violence, food and home scarcity, injury, missoginy, threat of forced marriage
Perfect! This was just too good and cozy! It has a protective hero (who’s a VIRGIN!) who simps for the heroine and such a great found family that you’ll fall in love with. I never got bored reading this novella and I loved watching previous characters make an appearance. I honestly think this could be a perfect ending to the Horned Holidays trilogy! It just brought everything together so well and I was satisfied by the ending.
What a fine story! Katerina is such a brave young woman - she heads out with a few supplies and her younger sister to escape a horrible fate. Jackasarian D’Frostulen is an intriguing male from a very uptight world. I love how he watches out for them, even before they know he’s there. Katerina’s subsequent sexy encounter with ‘Jack Frost’ is heartwarming and hot! This is a truly delightful holiday story, with young ones whose faith needs to be restored, and a couple of adults who set about to do just that - while falling in love.
Like the previous ones, this book is also a sweet Christmas snack. A bit too traditional for my taste, but once a year that's fine - that's not a contradiction, even if the men are aliens, the roles are always clearly divided.
Jackasarian was not full Tandroki and was looked down upon. There was no one left of his family. No type of acceptance in his world. He was a Subcommander to Ambassador Nicholsarian. There was something bothering the ambassador so Jackasarian decided to sneak onboard his ship to look around. Before he knew it the spaceship was out of control and had landed on a backwater planet. Why not stay here? No one wanted him on Tandroki. Katarina had to get away with her little sister, Merry before her abusive father sold her to Guyten. She packed up food stuff, blankets, and a few personal things and left after the camp settled for the night. They traveled for the day and found a secure place to eat and sleep. While Katarina was sleeping, she saw a prince with hair, blue eyes, and horns. It wasn't a dream. What a wonderful story for the holidays. Another Honey Phillips masterpiece. Full of love laughter and family.

I did not realize the hero and heroine would have adopted kids in this book. I liked the hero but generally prefer not to read romance novels with kids as part of the plot.
Both Katerina and her sister were whiny and annoying. I'm not saying Katherine had it good with her dad, no, I'm glad she left but reading her walking journey was just plain pathetic. She complained that it was monotonous and she hated it. I'm sorry but are you not free from the clutches of your abusive Father? Who the fuck cares what outside looks like, you're not going on vacation, you are trying to get away and live a better life with your sister. And her sister, Gods above what a seemingly spoiled brat, complaining during the hike, again, why? Does she not know her dad was going to sell her too when she was old enough? Honestly though, I did not like either one of them, and didn't really have a great first impression of Jackasarian (these names are just plain ridiculous at this point that it's bordering on annoying) either.
It's also repetitive, again. I think at this point anyone reading the books in the series knows the whole story about the type of people and upbringing Jack's people are, not to mention how the humans came to this planet, etc. If it was mentioned once, fine, I get it, bring a new reader up to speed but overly mentioned, at least about his race, how primitive the humans are, how acts of the flesh are frowned upon because it brings out their more primitive side, etc, etc... Whatever plot there is in the book gets lost with all these reminders and repeats that once again it feels like rewriting the same book over and over again. At least this time it's a bit different because it's her sister but it's still a woman with a child or children. And of course a drone that took the shape of an animal that has a mind of its own.
I will say, aside from the repetition, some misspelled words, or even the wrong gender used here or there it wasn't completely horrible and I do like that there was something else going on, even if the fight literally lasted 2 seconds. It made it a bit more interesting and I also did like that he marked her when he claimed her, where the first two books with the same Tandroki males didn't really go down that more primal path. I guess it was because Jack has mixed blood, though I don't really know.

Oh , my Word !!!! What a lovely story !!! So glad I got this !!!
In this CHRISTmas story, we find Katerina, a young lady who lives a sort of gypsy life with her father and younger sister in their caravan , trading across where they live . The humans on this planet arrived Years ago , and many have settled in towns and cities . Katerina and her family go from town to town trading goods and such. Her father is a hard man who seems witty , and clever , but hides his true self . On thus particular nite , Kate overhears her father planning her future. It is Not a pleasant future, so she makes her escape in the dead of night, along with her sister Merry. In order to not be caught , Kate and Merry make their way through ," ghost pass" , it will cut their travel time in half , and no one goes there. There are rumors about the ," pass ", that once in , no one comes out .....
Jack is an assistant for a Commander Nicolasarien, and he feels that he is an outcast, because of his linage. He tries so very hard to be what his father wants, but ......(.well, I have ," daddy issues" , myself , so I get it !! 😁😁) On this particular day , Nicolasarien comes on his ship unexpectedly while Jack is still on it !!! Jack doesn't make his presence known, and hides, and the ship takes off !!! Then crashes !!!! Jack would rather take his chances out in the wild then get reprimanded , so he gathers some survival stuff , and is off !! As Katerina , and Jack are thrust together and the story unfolds, the story becomes a really good Christmas story and was a treasure to read !! My favorite parts are when old friends from previous books come and it all is a wonderful time !!! I hope that this is not the end of this series !!! I truly enjoyed it . Except for one teeny, tiny thing . The ice palace . It felt rushed and I wanted more fight scenes , I suppose. Other then that , I loved it !!!
Subcommander Jackasarian D’Frostulen is snooping in the Tandroki Ambassador’s ship when the Ambassador comes rushing onto the ship and immediately takes off. Jack is trapped on the ship and hiding until it lands and he can sneak off. Unfortunately it crash lands on a supposedly uninhabited planet, K.R.S Three. But when Jack see’s evidence of primitive life forms, he takes off before the Ambassador regains consciousness. He figures the ambassador will repair the ship and take off leaving him stranded there. He’s okay with that because he never did fit in on Tandroki.
Katerina and her younger sister Merry are pretty much held hostage by their cruel father who is a traveling merchant. When she overhears her father negotiating for her hand in marriage with another man who is just as cruel as her father, and he tells him he is already looking at prospects for her 10 year old sister Merry, Kat knows that time has run out for them. She packs up what they can carry and sneaks out in the middle of the night. They take a shortcut through Ghost Valley towards a small town where she hopes they can find shelter. Even her father refuses to travel through Ghost Valley, so she is hoping they will be safe there.
When Jack see’s the two females struggling through a deep valley, he follows them to keep them safe. He doesn’t want to show himself and frighten them, but he is determined to keep them safe. When they stumble upon a deserted village at the base of a glacier Kat is happy to have any kind of shelter because a huge storm is coming. But when Merry disappears things start to get strange pretty fast.
This is a very touching story about first love and what is really important in life; love, family and courage. Don’t miss it!.

This was a really cozy, winter alien romance set during a snowstorm in an abandoned town. The MMC is very clearly meant to parallel Jack Frost, and honestly he was such a soft, protective presence. He’s injured after a fall, so the FMC taking care of him becomes a big part of the story, and those quieter caretaking moments were some of my favorites.
I especially loved the found family bits with the kids. While the FMC is tending to the MMC, he tells the kids stories every night so she can secretly make little presents for them, and those scenes were just really sweet and comforting. That’s where the book really shines for me.
My only hesitation is that I wanted a little more time before the story fully landed on “yes, this is our family, these are our children.” I liked where it ended up emotionally, I just wanted a bit more of the in-between to really sit in it.
I didn’t love the side alien thriller–type plot, and the resolution of what happened with the FMC’s father, who was hunting her down after she and her sister ran away, wasn’t very satisfying for me. That said, the main romance and found family elements worked well overall.
Overall, this was a soft, low-angst, snowed-in comfort read with strong caretaking vibes and found family moments. It didn’t quite hit 4 stars for me, but I really enjoyed it and would recommend it if you’re in the mood for something quick, gentle, and cozy during the winter.
I’ve read Krampus and the Crone by this author. This book starts out with an alien space vehicle crash, much like Krampus. It also mentions Jaelle, the “crone” in Krampus.
Katerina and her sister Merry flee from their father’s caravan when Katerina overhears him offering her to another caravan leader. She additionally hears his plans for Merry when she matures. It’s the dead of winter and they decide to take a route avoided by most due to its spooky reputation.
Meanwhile, “Jack Frost” (a child’s abbreviation of his name) is immediately smitten with Katerina when he observes the duo. They are all headed in the same direction so he maintains a discreet distance but keeps a vigilant watch. The sisters come across an abandoned township whose derelict buildings offer some protection from the elements. There they encounter Johnny and three other children and move into their shelter.
Jack scales the outer walls so he can observe Katarina as she sleeps in the loft. He eventually slips and knocks himself unconscious. Katarina insists they bring him inside despite his odd appearance.
Jack and Katarina eventually become lovers and both adults help improve their living conditions. They discover the evil that had been inhabiting the area. Jack also finds out that two of his fellow travelers now had human mates and an uneasy truce is the result.

It's not a complete Christmas without a new Horned for the Holidays book!💖💖🔥🔥
These Horned for the holidays book make my Christmas season just a bit merrier and bright. I love the Tandroki warriors so stoic and reserved until they meet the human woman who brings out their love and passion. In this story Jackasarian (Jack) was showing away on Nickolsarian's ship when it crash landed. He leaves so he doesn't get in trouble and explores this new world being exposed to do many new sights and emotions. When he sees Katarina and her sister Merry struggling all he wants to do is help them and get to know Kat better. Kat needs to get both her and her sister away from her abusive father. She takes her sister and runs as far as she can. This is when she meets a few other children's end her winter Prince Jack. As they explore their new surrounding they each develop new ideas of what family is and how important it is to find a place to belong. And as the winter holiday approaches love blooms passion grows and acceptance and belonging take root. It's and awesome feel good smile through the whole book warm feeling in the heart type of book. Highly recommend!🔥🔥💖🔥💖🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥💖

Heather's Notes I have enjoyed all of these books. However, this one did read like the end of the series. I guess she is running out of ways to get the aliens to the planet. Jack and Kat felt like a younger couple, but I did enjoy them. I really liked Pika as well.
Jack is more than well aware of his shortcomings, mainly because he is constantly reminded of them by everyone. There is no shortage of people pointing out that he is not a perfect Tandroki, nor that he is not fully a Tandroki either. That kind of permanent criticism takes a toll however despite all that he seems to been able to grow into a kind and loving male. He just needs someone to love. A wonderful scent catches his attention but then he sees who it belongs to and he couldn't leave even if he wanted to. Kat is trying desperately to protect her sister Merry and herself from the one person who should be their champion, their father. She overhears him discussing about selling her to rival as a bride and that decides their fate. Her father has hurt her many times, sparing Merry as he thinks he'll be able to get more money for her than Kat when she is of age, but if Kat is not there who will protect her little sister. So it is now or never. They are leaving, now! She dreams of a handsome prince who sweeps in and saves her but dreams will have to wait until they are safe. That is unless the dream comes right to her window....
Series: Horned Holidays #3 Rating: 3 stars - I liked it
This was another enjoyable Horned Holiday book. Subcommander Jackasarian D’Frostulen stowed away on Ambassador Nicholsarian’s ship (A Gift for Nicholas) and found himself stranded on a primitive planet. Jack sees this alien planet as a new start for himself and finds his mate along the way. Jack was a sweet alien who made a great partner for Katarina. He was loyal, kind, protective, and very sweet. Katarina is a strong female who has spent her life protecting her sister from her father’s abuse. These two have an instant attraction/fated mates relationship that was enjoyable. I have really enjoyed this series, especially since these horned alien men all seem to be protective virgins who have never been able to express their feelings but want to.
Katerina has to save her sister and herself, and I loved this story! Katerina sees her chance and she takes it, even though they could die trying, the girls set out to save themselves from their awful father and his nefarious plans. There are some unexpected twists along the way, like, things start to look bleak, but then right when they’re about ready to give up, they find a group that needs them too, and Jack Frost accidentally falls into their spot, and then the story gets deeper. Katerina and Jack were made for each other bet don’t see a long-term way for them to be together forever, they’re from different worlds! By the time the valley's secret becomes known, I’m totally invested and hoping for the best outcomes for this group of survivors. It’s an adorable Christmas story that you should definitely check out!
Such a heartwarming whimsical read. Sub commander Jackasarian, D' Frostulen decides to stowaway on Ambassador Nicholsarian's ship, when disaster strikes ,and they crash land. Fearing the wrath of his unconscious superior Jackasarian flees. Katerina upon hearing she is being forced into marriage by her abusive father takes her younger sister and runs. Their adventures begin when they stumble upon on an old abandoned trading post. All through their travels Katerina has felt a presence. Even in her dreams she sees him. Jackasarian has been observing and protecting Katerina and her sister from a distance. He feels a connection to her but knows he is not worthy of such a beautiful precious gift.
I loved the first two books in the Horned Holidays series and was excited to get my hands on this one. I was not disappointed and adored this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved the found family in this book. Katerina escaped her abusive and controlling father's caravan with her little sister Merry. They found an abandoned outpost, and a small group of orphaned children. Jackasarian had crashed onto the primitive planet and spotted Katherine and Merry and followed them, hiding their tracks as they went. When he was injured in a fall, Katherine and the group take Jack in to rest and heal. This was a sweet feel-good holiday romance. I loved the main couple and the children and couldn't put it down. 5 stars.
This is a sweet and heartwarming holiday story that not only tells the story of a hot alien and a human woman falling in love but it’s also about finding and making a family of your own.
I really enjoyed all of the characters in this story, I’m not someone who really likes children in a romance but Honey Phillips managed to make them all likeable and adorable. Especially Lorna and the way she spoke, too cute.
I also liked the main couple. Jack, our alien hero, managed to somehow be adorable and sexy while Kat was brave, strong and didn’t hesitate to step up in taking care of those she cares about.
I recommend this story especially if you need to get into the holiday spirit.

Fun read! "Jack Frost" crashes on an unknown planet. He's basically a stow-away. Katerina is in a terrible situation with her little sister. They have a very cruel father. Katerina saves them and Jack ends up kind of saving her and more. What I loved in this book:
***Mr. Peppermint-y Jack Frost ***Another very endearing animal pet incoming! Honey does them so well! ***Strong FMC in Katerina. ***Just the right amount of steamy romance in this one. ***Family theme--you will see what I mean. ***The perfect epilogue for this series so far!
I love holiday novels and this is a sweet one! The villain is a surprise, so get ready for that. You'll love it! 4.5 stars for this very cool holiday romance!!
Honey has done it again. This is a wonderful winter wonderland story. "Jack Frost" is in trouble. A stowaway in a ship that crashed on an alien planet. Loved his character. He is a warrior who is misunderstood. I love how everything comes together in the end. His journey to a great HEA was fun to read. Katerina is also a strong person. She has to be, with a father like hers. She takes responsibility for her sister Merry. Loved the chemistry between Jack and Katerina. Slow burn to a steamy romance. Action from page one. Loved how the secrets and misunderstanding are resolved. Excellent story.

Subcommander Jackasarian D'Frostulen/Jack (H) stows away on a spacecraft which crashes on a primitive planet K.R.S. Three. Katerina (h) runs off with her young sister when she overhears her father plotting to sell her. Kat and her sister enter a valley where no one dares go and find a ragtag band of orphan children hiding in the remains of an old settlement. Jack finds himself drawn to Katerina and when he’s injured, she takes him in to heal. The more time that Jack and Katerina spend together, the more intense their relationship becomes. Sweet alien romance with plenty of holiday heat. Yule love it!
I so enjoyed returning to this world with our author. Katerina and her Jack Frost have an amazing story to share with you. The spaceship Jack was on crashed on the planet. He gathered survival gear and started a quest to find another power source. Katerina and her sister Merry finally escaped from their abusive nasty father. A short cut through the valley leads to an abandoned station where they find several children but no adults. Then Jack falls off their roof which leads to new adventures, danger, growth, family and spicy times.

For those who love: • Christmas romance • Insta-love • Alien romance • Found family
The third and final book in this series is just as sweet as its predecessors. Jackasarian is the unlikely alien hero I didn’t know I needed! I loved how the sequence of events in this book is different to the first two. After never feeling good enough back on his planet, I loved how Katerina was able to show Jack exactly how amazing he is. Much like the other two aliens from Tandrok, Jack instantly felt protective over the children he found himself caring for, and the woman he knew would be his perfect mate.
I was confused by a few details. The blurb led me to believe the Herione was a Mother or at least guardian of many kids and escaped. Found refuge in a small cabin with no water or food. Not what author wrote. Did enjoy this installment of the alien version of holiday characters. One last thing that puzzled me is the storage room with large amounts of supplies. It did not come from ice alien, and did not seem to match same tech as first humans. Would be nice if author did new series that shows descendants of non humans coming to search for lost ship that went down. Like treasure hunter or unsolved mysteries, alien wise.
This is a very heartwarming story of love in very difficult times. Katerina decides to take her sister Merry and run away to protect themselves against their father. They reach what the think is an abandoned cabin but actually four children are living there. Then a little animal takes Katerina to Jack who was buried in the snow. She was astonished to find him alive as he had been in her dreams. They quickly find love together. There's lots of action in between as they become a family full of love and acceptance. This author really makes you feel the love the adults and children have for each other. Hopefully more in this series to come in the future.
