Dusting off his years of training and experience-and his guns-to protect himself, his loved ones, and his nation, the aging warrior winds up in Tampa, making friends and meeting enemies along the way. As the threat slowly takes shape and reveals itself, Terry relies on the smarts and skills that kept him alive through years of combat.
Yet the threat is much bigger than he realized, and he's not sure who he can trust. The one thing he knows for sure is that if he wants to stay alive, he needs to  Keep Moving, Keep Shooting.

⭐️ Great First Novel ⭐️

Well done Mr Novak. Terry, A combat vet, medically retired. Lives with his girlfriend Peggy a Middle East expert on her farm. The story starts with her being directed to a national guard headquarters to receive a top secret phone call. It pertains to a probable terrorist attack in the U.S. by U.S. based Muslim attackers. It’s shortly after this that this couple is being hunted across the United States for reasons they are trying to discern. ANYMORE THAN THIS WOULD SPOIL THE STORY! Trust me, if you like action, adventure, deception and a cracking good tale, READ THIS BOOK. I certainly hope this is turned into a series.

The pace of this book was non-stop. The twists and turns were very well done. If you like action thrill rides like Bourne Identity, without the memory loss, then try this book.

First thing I can say is this book definitely kept my attention all the way through....the pace of the story coupled with the excellent writing, I easily finished it in under a week. The characters were well developed; each with interesting backstories. The plot however was a bit grandiose... too big to be even a little believable; which is fine except for the number of deaths - therefore it's hard to say it was a 'fun read'. Maybe a little too violent (and sexy) for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. I can totally see this becoming a book series, especially the way it ended. I hope that it is and I hope to see more of the main characters back stories explored and intertwined with thrilling stories of national security!

An action thriller with a good back story and lots of detail to keep readers guessing. Fast-paced but with good character development that will have you cheering for Terry and Peggy from the first few chapters. The ending caused audible surprise as I flew through the last few pages. A plausible fit in our world today. If you have an interest in the military or Jack Ryan type thrillers, I highly recommend this book for an entertaining read.

This is a genre that I don’t usually read but need an escape book and this fit the bill. It is an exciting story of a veteran and his partner, female, fighting against the evil deep state, or is it? I enjoyed the story line and the questions it brings about our current reality. It is not a “political conspiracy” book as such but does make one think, all the while having fun.

Terry the tantalizing

Every scene was thorough, fast-paced, and action packed. Logistics planned, lives lost - whether you're an intellectual or a gun slinger, or both - this book is not only an incredibly paced, highly enjoyable read - It is Thought-provoking. Integrity draws a strong line here - I would recommend it for that alone. Enjoy (I'm certain you will)!

outstanding

In the last three months I have read Connelly, Flynn, Baldacci, Bentley, Box, Carr, and Craig Johnson and Novak held his own not feeling at all like a first book. I did not see the last two shots coming. The question is, what is next?

Fantastic book! I love a good non-fiction book, and this is one of the best! It has a great storyline that really keeps your attention! There is military talk, but as a civilian, you can still understand! I think it's very well written and I can't wait for the next one!

Bad bad. Don’t recommend. Amateur story telling. Worn out characters (Longmire + Reacher knock off). Poorly designed plot.

I can’t wait for the next installment of Terry Davis! Great read, I didn’t want to put the book down. Several twists I did NOT expect. The ending? Wow!
