2023 bk 159 - a fun story and I hope to follow more of the tales of Ryan in his soon to be Uncles and Aunt tales.

Short, but hits all the right emotional notes
This is the third in a trilogy of short stories centering around Chloe, Clay, and Ryan, and part of the larger Day Care for Shifters series. I feel this holds up very well as a standalone, but reading the previous shorts, and/or other books in the series would help fill in some of the world building as well as give you more background on some of the other characters mentioned here.
This author always does a great job of creating characters and evoking emotions, imo, and all of that is evident here. I do enjoy stories of single parents finding someone who not only meets their needs, but is ready and willing to step into a caregiver role for their child as well, and Chloe and Clay are perfection together, while Ryan is completely adorable (if sometimes exasperating) as a toddler who is also sometimes a baby penguin.
Sweet and hot, funny and touching, this short story manages to hit all the emotions, making for a very fast, very entertaining, read.

Or do they? Things are as chaotic as usual with the adorable penguin chick shifter toddler Ryan. Chloe and Clay just want to have a normal date. Will it ever happen? Read this short story to find out, but boy is he a mischievous toddler in either form!
The pace is fast and the tone is hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has one steamy scene and no action other that what a rambunctious toddler provides! The characters are vibrant and endearing. The order for this series is Day Care for Shifters #1 and then these 3 shorts books in order and then books 2 and 3 of the longer ones. I love the world building in this set of stories. This is a fun shifter romance with a well developed world 🌎. Enjoy!

Short,fun and sweet!
We first met Chloe and Clay and baby Ryan in First Shift when their not-a-date got cancelled when her son suddenly shifted into a baby penguin. They try to take their relationship to the next level in First Date but idea challenging when you're a single mom to ANY toddler, much less a mischievous penguin shifter.
Despite the challenges they manage to find their HEA and the story is guaranteed to bring some smiles to your face.
Love this series, keep 'em coming!

This is book 3 in the series, they are short stories and so much fun to read. I like how the author gives us a glimpse of their lives and how true it is when you are raising a child and what could go wrong does go wrong. Add in a shifter and you have a comedy of errors.

Ready for a sweet, cute and fun story? This is it! I swear the whole tale is beyond adorable and this reader could not stop reading.
As a mom who has had her own (slightly less incredible) disasters- I could not stop laughing.

I never miss one of Eva's books! I love the plots that are developed. They have humor, love and make perfect sense to someone who loves to read shifter books. More implied intimate moments without super details. Love them.

Great read.
Aww, this was such a sweet ending to the little series. I love how practical Clay and Cora became, they just got on with life and love without stressing about things they couldn't control.

This is the third novella in this Super cute trilogy. I loved they story of Clay, Chloe the and little Ryan. Love this whole world Elva Birch has created. Can't wait to read whatever comes next.
