What if you had to trust someone who betrayed you to be free?
We had the best idea in the world. When we turned eighteen, my best friend and I planned the adventure of a lifetime—Romy and Elias living our best lives in New York City. In a different place, away from our friends and families, we could have explored the new, intense feelings that had surfaced between us. Our future was bright and open-ended.
But a dark family secret derailed those plans, and my dreams and freedom were ripped away by Mason, a monster who had a different kind of future planned out for me.
Mason turned me into Sky, sexual slave to the world’s richest men. I tried to stay Romy in my heart, but in The Chamber I was exposed to a carnal world I never could have conceived of.
I don’t know if I’ll ever truly be free from The Chamber, and even if I make my way back, would Elias even recognize me? I used to think of life as one big adventure. Now, I just wish I could find my way back to myself.
*** Will Romy ever return to her life before The Chamber? If she does, will Elias still be a part of it? Broken Sky is the sixth book in the Seven Chambers Series, but each book serves as a stand-alone read. 18+
D.W. Marshall is a USA Today Bestselling author and an unapologetic lover of stories in all their forms. Whether it’s the thrill of superhero action or the heartache of a tear-jerking romance, she’s always up for an adventure. And yes, she might need professional help for her office supply obsession. A true homebody, D.W. delights in cozy movie nights with her husband and kids.
Her TBR pile? It’s a towering stack filled with heartfelt romance, captivating YA, sweeping fantasy, and emotionally charged, unforgettable tales.
When it comes to writing, her imagination dives headfirst into bold and thrilling worlds. She adores crafting characters who start out as underdogs, only to rise up, find their inner strength, and earn every last moment of the happily-ever-afters they deserve.
The plot is intriguing, and what happened was very sad, but I wouldn't call it really dark. Maybe I would have liked the reason which triggered the whole drama to be more believable, and the ending was a bit sudden. But what do I know about the male psihic? Maybe it was that traumatic to find out secrets, and the timing of disclosure was really bad.
I liked the writing and the characters, they seem really fallible, with all the emotions and the weaknesses of humans. and I liked that underneath it all there was hope and healing in the future.

Ro, Eli and Markus, they are a team. Friend's forever. Then something shifts and Ro sees Eli in a whole new way. A wonderful way. The 3 have their future all mapped out. It will be glorious. Then it all blows up. Ro winds up alone with Eli back home in his own hell. When she is taken by traffickers, no one can help her. Once back at home perhaps she still can't be helped. Especially by Eli who knows he caused it all. A story of deep love, betrayal, torment and recovery and understanding.
I received this book as an advanced copy. This is a book about the consequences of a lie coming to surface. Eli, Romy and Markus are the best of friends until one decision changes their lives forever. The summer adventure they planned turns into a nightmare and the outcome is unbelievable. There are moments you will wonder if they will have a happy ending or will they be destroyed forever. You will not be able to put this book down.
I really enjoyed this book, there was real depth to the story and I liked all of the main characters. BUT! It just sort of stopped, it was the end of the adventure for these characters but I was left feeling unsatisfied as it didn't really round off for me.

Much as parts of this were good, I was definitely disappointed that there was absolutely nothing 'dark', by any stretch of the imagination. Also the ending seemed somewhat forced and decidedly abrupt. The story idea is fine but it's let down in the execution.

As some other reviewers have mentioned I found the ending a tad abrupt. Having said that, I really enjoyed this book. It is a great addition to the series and complements the rest of the books very well.
The storyline of this series may not be for everyone but I really enjoyed it.
