If Glitch got my kindle pregnant, well this one doubled down and gave my kindle instant twins 😅. I think it’s the first time I open a book and see the burn on the first page 😅. I… I… I was speechless 😳😅, and don’t get me started on the only way I wanna be fed from now on 🤡. I have high expectations now 😉🤷🏻♀️. I’ll talk about the lack of air down below. Trey- you’re ruining women’s expectations for men now 👀.
Trey trying to die while Erin takes a seat really shows how persistent he is in ensuring she feels pleasure. The dedication 😅🫡.
Trey (28 ish) and Erin (31 ish) have had a clandestine relationship for the past two years. Because Erin’s a single mom, she’s extremely cautious with her “love” interests, except she really hasn’t had any before Trey, and everything she does with Trey is done in secret, so it seems as if she’s not doing anything with anyone.
Trey has been wanting more with Erin, but she’s extremely closed off, which is understandable since she’s a single mom. She’s had the help of her brother Glitch, who also happens to be Trey’s best friend 😬.
Trey’s back in town because Glitch is getting married, and he and Erin can’t keep their hands off each other 👀. Trey wants her as his forever…
If only he could find a way of convincing Erin to be on the same page as him 👀😉
What I liked/loved:
—it’s relationship/character driven (bet you thought I was gonna say 🔥 ha? Lol). Yes, there’s lots of things going on around them, but the bulk of the book is Trey and Erin being together 👀 and not just during 🔥 times. We get all of their inner struggles/monologues and their back-and-forth POVs during the same scenes that show us their insecurities and vulnerabilities; we get all the nitty gritty details in their feelings ❤️

—the swoony moments. On top of all of that ^^, I was gushing so much while reading (the sweet kind of gushing… eh… the other one fits too 🤣). Erin’s Trey’s end game. No games. No hesitations. He’s solid and sure in his feelings ❤️

—less pushback on Erin’s end. This didn’t bother me too much because I could understand that being a single mother and wanting the best for her son was all she could think about. I know many people were irritated by her and not giving Trey the benefit of the doubt, but we got a lot of the emotions she was feeling, and why she wasn’t diving in headfirst, even after knowing how serious Trey was.
Overall, I loved this ❤️. Trey deserves ALLLLL THE STARS!

Despite my 3⭐️ rating, I loved this
The dirty talk was the hottest thing I’ve read. Omg. Way hotter than the first. Sorry, Your Dad Will Do, sorry, Jessa Kane, Briana Michaels has y’all beat.
I’d give this a 5⭐️ for the sex and dirty talk alone. However, there’s more to a book than that. Darn. 😮💨
I loved Trey. He was my ideal MMC- he knew from page one he was in love with Erin and wanted to be her husband. He went out of his way to try to make that happen, from proving himself to proving how much he cared about her. The moment they started their “hook-ups” 2 years prior, he didn’t even touch or look at another person.
Now Erin (FMC) I struggled with. A lot. She was soooo back and forth for almost the entire novel. In fact, when the book ended, I was surprised when I saw “Epilogue” because I was like wait! But! Wasn’t she against this just yesterday? Or maybe she wasn’t? Confuseth!
I understand being in survival mode for so long can make it hard to give up control but this just didn’t make sense time after time after everything Trey was doing and saying.
I wanted more of Beetle! I loved him in Glitch and he was hardly featured in this one. It’s weird because he’s Erin’s son. 😔
I do feel like Erin and Trey were perfect together, their chemistry was spot on. I wanted more love feelings from them tho, not lust. They had those in spades. Oh! if degradation kink isn’t your thing, maybe this is not the book for you. Trey treats her like an absolute Queen throughout the entirety of the book, while giving her exactly what she wants in the bedroom (and outside of it), but I know some peeps may not like the amount of “slut” and “whore” etc. used.
In the end, the plot fell flat as well as the relationship development (and Erin’s character), but if you go in for the hot sex you WILL NOT be disappointed y’all! 🥵

I loved the first book in this series. It was short, sweet and hot AF. I was expecting more of the same for this one but it was just boring! So much inner monologue and back and forth on stupid shit.
My main problem was Erin. She just had so many ISSUES! She couldn’t accept help or love from anyone. The whole book was just her inner struggle about not being able to let Trey into her life because she didn’t feel good enough. It was just so depressing… not to mention boring. I wanted smut! Not Debby downer drama!

Don’t tell Glitch, but man, I love Trey. Gentlemen in the streets and a freak In the sheets.
Trey is I’m love with his Brest friend’s sister, Erin. We first met Erin in Glitch. Trey is very much swoon-worthy. He knows he must be cautious but doesn’t give up on Erin.
Some people don’t like Erin, but I can’t relate to her. Yes, she was a complete push and pull. Erin is an independent, in control, and stubborn woman. A single mother is always in survivor mode.
Is Trey the one to tear down her walls and be there for Erin and her son?
The author always writes spicy scenes, and I love the dirty-talking Trey! He is also very caring and considerate. How he was with Erin’s Son is perfection.
I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Мені щось не подобається коли книжка вже починається з їхніх стосунків. Мені більше цікаво читати, як народжуються ці почуття, а так вони вже до цього сплять 4 роки 🗿 Мені сподобався Трей, здається в цій серії поки адекватні хлопці, сподіваюся що і далі ніхто не підведе. Донор сперми в цій книжці нічим не відрізняється від таких же як і він, одразу хотілось або плюнути в нього, або вдарити, але ж... І мати ще таке его, що Ерін шукала його, щоб щось вимагати чи шантажувати, очікувала що все ж таки його дружина та свекор дізнаються про його сина, і щось зроблять, бо у них здається була політика щодо родини чи щось таке, але нічого не було, нажаль.

I enjoyed book one from this author but omg I disliked Erin soooo much I swear like I know she was how she was due to her past and how she grew up fast and didn’t trust easy but lord let the man Trey try once and awhile, she kept pushing him away many times it got annoying how much he put in for her and she doesn’t deserve him.
Let’s back it up Erin and Trey have been sleeping together in secret cuz of her brother and she just got out of a relationship, taking care of her kid also her job it was just to much for me, I hope the next one hits better.
Trey was so delicious and how he tried everything! And it felt meh… I wish I liked it better.

DNF at 38%. I found Erin exhausting and if I were Trey, I’d run and cut my losses.

This was honestly difficult to get through, because being inside Erin’s head was so fucking rough.
I did not like her, at all.
She was constantly going back and forth on her decisions, especially when it concerned Trey.
She didn’t even give a good reason for that, just that she’d been doing everything for herself for years.
The plot was so convoluted from her indecisiveness that it felt like it took about a million years to get to the end.
The sex was hot as fuck, but nowhere near enough to make up for me not liking Erin.
Their relationship was absolute shit.
Trey is completely and totally in love with Erin. And Erin likes Trey, but continually hurts him with her words, actions, and thoughts.
It was bad. Honestly I was sort of hoping he would just leave her. At least for a little while. She needed a wake up check, and I feel like she would’ve gotten there sooner if she had a little time to herself to think about all the things Trey brings to her life to make it better.
But nope.
She didn’t hardly change at all. That was just a personality trait they joked about and Trey nicknamed her for.
I mean she was Better at the end, but she just put everyone through so much shit at the beginning and middle that I couldn’t appreciate it even a little bit.
I liked Trey, and of course the side characters that we’d already met in the first book.
But Erin honestly ruined the book for me.
I just really hated her attitude.
This was honestly difficult to get through, because being inside Erin’s head was so fucking rough.
I did not like her, at all.
She was constantly going back and forth on her decisions, especially when it concerned Trey.
She didn’t even give a good reason for that, just that she’d been doing everything for herself for years.
The plot was so convoluted from her indecisiveness that it felt like it took about a million years to get to the end.
The sex was hot as fuck, but nowhere near enough to make up for me not liking Erin.
Their relationship was absolute shit.
Trey is completely and totally in love with Erin. And Erin likes Trey, but continually hurts him with her words, actions, and thoughts.
It was bad. Honestly I was sort of hoping he would just leave her. At least for a little while. She needed a wake up check, and I feel like she would’ve gotten there sooner if she had a little time to herself to think about all the things Trey brings to her life to make it better.
But nope.
She didn’t hardly change at all. That was just a personality trait they joked about and Trey nicknamed her for.

Quite possibly the worst heroine I’ve ever read. She was whiny, prickly, wishy washy, and irritating AF. She has said yes no yes no yes no yes no 57 times so far (a slight exaggeration) and I’m 1/3 of the way through. Other reviewers tells me this goes on the entire book. So it’s gonna be a no from me.
Trey, OTOH? Trey was delicious. The kind of devoted hero I love seeing. He just needed to devote himself to a different heroine.
Lots of degradation in this one if that’s not your yum.

Ok, I’m torn. The dirty talk was fantastic! But I disliked pretty much everything else. Too much back and forth and overthinking of what I considered dumb stuff for me to actually enjoy the characters outside of their sexy times.

I really really wanted to like it bc let’s face it, the H and his dirty mouth and dominant nature were pantie melting but did that girl fucking drove me nuts in the most horrible way. I can’t even find words for it. I wanted to throw my kindl at her head cause of her behavior. Cold warm - cold warm / yes no yes no / talking - not talking / wants to fuck - wants not to fuck/ wants a relationship - then not / wants Trey - then not - I can’t take anymore of this.

Briana took me on wild ride with Erin and Trey’s story.
I loved Erin when I met her in Glitch and I love her even more after reading this. This woman is strong, stubborn, funny and filled with so much love. I adored seeing her mile high walls crumble down and embrace what she truly wants.
Trey is a borderline workaholic, but this man works in ALL the right ways. I adored how he didn’t hold back with Erin, lifted her up rather than hold her back and didn’t give up when he had to fight for her. Let me just say - I wouldn’t climbing his ladder 🤤.
I can’t leave out Beetle - I love this little guy so much. He loves his Mom so much and is so protective of her. How he accepted Trey as more than a family friend melted my heart.
This story is high spice…like starting on page one high. But Briana didn’t lack on plot, this is packed with just as much emotion and just a splash of angst. I really enjoyed how this moved from family friends with benefits to a true relationship, and how it was the woman to be antsy at moving forward. Honestly, I loved every single thing about it and would love to see more from this series.

I really loved the first book in this series and was super excited to read book 2 .... steamy scenes were steamy, and oof *drooling* for Trey but I had a hard time with Erins POV soooo 3.5 stars for me cause it was still a fun read i think i just may have done some skim reading for her POV.

Meh. I didn’t like the FMC. I’m glad Glitch called out his own sister though bc ffs girl. How don’t you see you’ve been stringing that poor man along when all he wants to do is take care of you and has continuously shown it through his actions. Give me a Trey 🫠
