Welcome to Beechwood Harbor. A rustic, coastal town where paranormals live among humans, undetected — at least, so far.
Scarlet Sanderson isn’t a paranormal being per se, but she’s no stranger to things that go bump in the night. She’s had the ability to see and speak with ghosts since she was eight years old. Whether it’s a gift or a curse is still up for debate.
She moved to the picturesque town of Beechwood Harbor to open a flower shop and start a new life after years of being a nomad. What she didn’t expect to find was a town filled with witches, vampires, shape-shifters and ghosts. So, so many ghosts.
With her sarcastic ghost cat and a stately 20th-century gentleman by her side, she can take on the world. She just wishes that world would stop landing her in the middle of murder investigations. Cold case murders, reckless poltergeists, and depressed specters are becoming Scarlet’s new normal. But how in the Otherworld is she supposed to have any kind of real life when she’s stuck halfway between the world of the living and the dead?
This boxed set includes the first three books in the series, The Ghost Hunter Next Door, Ghosts Gone Wild, and When Good Ghosts Get the Blues>.
This is the first three books of a cozy mystery series called The Beechwood Harbor Ghost Mysteries.
The first book: The Ghost Hunter Next Door (This is the second time reading this book). I think this book is ok. I would give this book 3 stars.
The second book: Ghosts Gone Wild. This book is my favorite so far. I loved it. 5 stars
The third book: When Good Ghosts Get the Blues is good, but not great. 4 stars.
Overall I gave the three 4 stars :)
This book is a spin off from the Beechwood Harbor series. This is book series is about Scarlet Sanderson which can see ghosts. She has three ghost that is around her most the time. Her old childhood child that died is one of the three ghost that stays close to her. Her cat ghost does talks and keeps things not boring. One of the other ghost is a stately 20th-century gentleman from England that she found when she was traveling, and she brought her back with her. The last of the three is a nosy very funny woman ghost. I love all the characters, and the books are quick and fun reads. (*)
This is a box set of the Beechwood Harbor Ghost Series, Book 1-3.
I enjoy Danielle Garrett’s writing. She is witty, creative, and her stories are full of interesting situations. Beechwood Harbor has a sister series called Beechwood Harbor Magic Mystery Series. Most of the books in this series happen before the Ghost Series books occur. I suggest reading the Magic Mystery series first. Sometimes characters from one series make appearances in the other series.
The fabulous Amanda Ronconi narrates this series. This talented actor reads with good timing, excellent emotional cues and easily distinguished voices.
Books one and two are set in Washington State’s Beechwood Harbor. Book three is set in New Orleans.
I recommend all three of these books. If you enjoy audiobooks I think you will love the way these series are narrated.
I have submitted these reviews after listening to the audiobooks of these titles. (Audible Membership)
#1 The Ghost Hunter Next Door This is a light-hearted look at a world where spirits exist and a ghost whisper can communicate with those spirits. When a spirit has died under brutal circumstances, they can build anger, which can result in breakages and unidentified noise This is an episode where such a spirit needs placating to allow renovations and a TV show to proceed. No pressure here, on our small town florist, come Ghost whisper.
#2 Ghosts Gone Wild
Murder mystery, Ghosts disappearing and general mayhem are all part of the life of our quirky ghost whisper florist. Never a dull moment.
#3 When Good Ghosts Get the Blues
A trip to New Orleans to visit Lucas's, who had a ten day break on his job. A ghost free holiday turns into a murder mystery with our favourite head of security as the main suspect. It takes a combined effort to work out the true culprits, but it's drama all the way.
This boxset contains the first three books in this series where we follow scarlet and her ghostly gang of friends as they solve one ghostly crime at a time.
I listened to this one on Audible and absolutely loved the narrator and I felt it was more fun to listen especially for Flapjack's character as his snarky comments need to be heard as they are so hilarious at times.
Hayward, the English man is so proper and the perfect gentleman even though he's a ghost and the way he blushes around his crush, the town gossip head and friendly ghost, Gwen just made me smile.
The Head of security of the reality show at the renovation property, Lucas might not have first met Scarlet in the best situation but soon you can feel the chemistry between these two and especially the way Lucas goes on to accept and understand Scarlet, makes my heart swoon.
Scarlet is happily putting together flowers for her new florist business. She is working with a bridezilla who is becoming a huge handful. Scarlet has a secret. She sees ghosts. Not only sees them but has her own entourage of then. One a talking cat no less. She can't go anywhere without being accosted by ghosts. When one of her brides dies and she gets involved with trying to find the killer her life becomes much harder. But maybe with the help of her ghostly friends it might be solvable. Is that a romantic interest peeping up in the story?
A quick, fun audiobook narrated by Amanda Ronconi. I love the ghosts have attitude and humor. This is appropriate for teen readers and above. The protagonist, Scarlet, sees and converses with ghosts. She assists others in resolving issues at home improvement shoots where her boyfriend is a security guard.
The first three books appear to be laying the ground work for the remainder of the series. I am looking forward to reading/listening to rest of the books.
I was able to listen to this set via Hoopla and my local library.
Loved the narrative! She really brought the story to life, full of emotion! I love a the different voices she does! My favorite has got to be Flapjack. Gwen is full of life and Hayward is so kind and respectful. This Tro is the best for hunting investigations and will give you a laugh. The story is well put together and will have page turning.
Danielle writes great stories, that takes you along for the ride with Scarlet and her “friends”. Just when you think Scar is figuring life out, something/someone earthly or other worldly shows up. Really enjoyed this box set and have downloaded several more by Danielle Garrett.
The cons: Pretty simple plots, almost no diversity. Rather predictable twists. Grammar errors here and there but nothing too bad.
The pros: Quick and cozy stories, and the ghosts are hilarious. Appropriate for pre-teens if needed. The world-building seems like it’s ramping up to something great.
I love this series! I am so glad I purchased this trio Books 1-3. The ghost characters are a fun bunch of misfits, (my favorite is of course the sarcastic cat). I highly recommend this trio of books - audio style. It will keep you entertained for hours, looking forward to listening to the next set in the series.
This is a very cute set of stories. I really like Scarlet and enjoyed hearing about her adventures. The fact that she can see ghosts and communicates with them is a huge part of her life. I also love that she found Lucas who accepts her as she is, quirks and all.
I love love love her ghost sidekicks! A cat ghost who can talk to you? Yeah, that'd be pretty awesome.
A ghost cat that talks. He is a bit snarky but means well mostly with Scarlett keeping him in check. A bit of romance and solving mysteries with lots of quirks.
This series is all about ghosts, good and bad. There is humor (a ghost cat), mystery, murder, and no sex . Not as good as the Beechwood Manor witch and friends, but worth the read anyway. Recommend.
The stores are interesting and different but still tie into each other . they aren't overly mushie but give you a taste of bigging love with the danger thrown in but not overly done .
Just finished the first three books of the Beechwood Harbor Ghost Mysteries and I’ve really enjoyed them. Great characters. It’s nice to read about an independent woman that can still have a good relationship
This is a trio of cozy mysteries. I found them sweet and entertaining, with a kind and supportive love interest, a likable heroine, and amusing ghostly supporting cast. Just a nice trio to curl up with for light reading (or listening, in my case) and I would read again.
Scarlet is trying to run her new flower shop when, the ghosts keep getting in the way. Their interactions are funny. Each book has a new mystery and more ghosts. Great clean fun read.
Loved this three book set written by Danielle Garrett. Getting to know the characters, both living and ghostly, and following the adventures that they get into has made for some enjoyable reading time. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
I love it when I find an Author with sparkling imagination an a way with story telling, the ones who pull you in and make you feel all tingly. Love , love your books. Thank you!!
It takes a special guy to put up with his girlfriend’s ghostly companions. Luke Green is that guy. He can’t see or hear them himself, but he believes Scarlet. He’s there to support her and her companions as best as he can.

Well this series of Beechwood Ghostly matters with Scarlet and her squad of ghost pals certainly keeps the pages turning fast. Really hoping for many more to come.
