I’m back from putting this series on hold for about 5 months hoping I can get back interest in it or if it’s still too cerebrally complicated for over-all enjoyment and reality escapism. Let’s see.
Update: Still way too much thinking and talking and worrying about things. Should we do or not do stuff, why not and how and what’s going on where. Just a few little tidbits of real action, etc. mixed in. You need a word strainer. Sounds like our government. I struggled through this one, but sorry, not going to continue the series.
Hoping to discover a way be ready for the next netheral attack, Rob searches the essence memories of the ancient cities in his lands for information on how to grow their strength and advance to the next stages of dragons.
Fave scenes: Rob & Ashmond meeting with Elanor, Serena greeting her mother, Griffin challenging the Dragon Queen and Raolin’s clue.
This was a continuation of Book 7, I think it would have been better if it was not divided into two books, since the tale is straightforward, we finally see the advantages and disadvantages of being by yourself once you reach Dragon Soul, and there are some revelations (I think they are), that will impact on those characters wanting to progress to further. Aside from that, we also read about the different essences and the possibility of each essence user to be able to tap into all types of essences, the tales starting from Dragon soul onward feels like a big revelation on the real essence progression.
Congratulations to D.K. Holmberg and Dan Michaelson for this amazing series. Ibt’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories. I’m really looking forward to the next book!
Filled with powerful suspense, intrigue, and wonder -- The quest for answers and connection is like no other!! Well worth the read, and makes you long for more!!
A deeply satisfying, engaging, and enjoyable series, that continues to deliver intrigue, keeping you in the edge, turning the page excitedly. Great world building and character development, well done.
Considering that a majority of the book covered the dragon queen and Serena, they could have at least mentioned what happened to the queen after Serena progresses to Dragon Soul.
