This book is unsuitable for anyone younger than 12
Bite the Hand is the first of a two part, revenge themed interactive novel set in the aftermath of a Zombie Apocalypse.

After being taken prisoner by the Orphans; a group of survivors responsible for the death of your family, you are offered a choice. Join them and live under their protection, or attempt to survive out in the world on your own. More than anything you want revenge, but understand that there are two truths you must face. Firstly you are a 9 year old girl, with neither the strength nor the skills to fight anyone, and secondly even if you could, you would not survive a minute in the monster infested world outside. It is for this reason that you decide to accept their offer and bide your time, learning everything you can from them, until the day comes when you will finally be ready to survive out in the world on your own, and when that day comes, you will kill them all.

Become Mara Hayes, a young apocalypse survivor, and guide her story as she goes from being a scared little girl to a strong, independent, fighter over a period of 9 years. Undertake a series of tasks both inside the base and outside, to ensure the survival of your group and by extension your own. Plan your revenge, by sneaking around after dark and exploring the base, whilst forming friendships with various group members for both personal and tactical gain. Learn skills in fighting, shooting, sneaking and scavenging; as you prepare yourself for the day when you will finally be ready to leave this place. Do you have what it takes to Bite the hand, or will yours will be the one that gets bitten?

My background is mainly in theatre and film, where I originally pursued careers in acting, directing, producing, editing and screen writing. Most of this work was writing screenplays for independent companies, some of which were made into low budget films and others which remained on the page.

Eventually after settling down with my partner, I left the theatrical life behind and decided to concentrate my efforts on writing fantasy novels. In time this reignited my passion for all things fantasy, including the fighting fantasy books from the 80s and led to me discovering my true calling in writing game books.
