I read the hard cover, but that selection isn't available on Goodreads for some reason.
JACK REACHER is passing through Gerrardsville, Colorado, where he witnesses 2 murders that are reported to be accidents and arouse his suspicions enough to investigate himself. This leads him to the local MINERVA CORRECTIONAL FACILITY which is conspiring around the upcoming release of wrongly convicted prisoner who "knows too much."
Adding interest to the story is this innocent's man's son who is determined to be there when his father is released. I kept waiting for JED and JACK to meet up.

Maybe 3.5 stars. Of course the Jack Reacher books are formulaic….but this one seemed more so than most. I did like the parallel story about Jed….but I didn’t care for that about the arsonist. (I read the paperback, not the Kindle edition.)
