He’s spent years as a hunter, but now he’s the one ensnared in a creature’s trap.
Ketahn did not want a mate. Fate has a different plan for him. When the queen he despises declares her intention to claim him, he retreats into the jungle.
What he finds there changes his world.
Small, delicate, and pale skinned, Ivy Foster is nothing like the females Ketahn has known. She’s not of his kind at all. Yet the moment he sees her, he knows the truth in his soul—she is his heartsthread.
And now that he has her, he won’t let anything take her away. Not the jungle, not the gods, not the queen and her warriors.
Whether Ivy agrees or not, their webs are entangled. No one will ever sever those threads. ----- The Spider's Mate is an omnibus which contains the Spider's Mate trilogy books Ensnared, Enthralled, and Bound.

This has been on my tbr for such a long time but I'm so glad I finally got to read it.
Was it perfect?
No.
But it was very entertaining.
On his way home Ketahn detours to hunt and falls down a pit known to be filled with 'spirits'. At the bottom he discovers what we subsequently know to be a spaceship (though he doesn't know that as his people do not travel in the stars) and within he inadvertently awakens Ivy, a human in stasis on the ship.
Fascinated, he takes her home with him with a view to keeping her as a pet. As Ivy more fully awakens, after initial terror at the "spider-man", the two begin to learn about each other, their language and eventually become friends of a sort.
Both Ketahn and Ivy, much to the slight horror of them both begin to develop more than friendly feelings for each other (which they do eventually act upon).
And it is hot!
NGL, I did not ever think that any kind of intimacy with a spider alien was going to work for me but there you go. Surprises all round 🤷♀️
There are a few twists as Ketahn keeps Ivy hidden from his people who have never see anything remotely human before. Also, the evil queen has decided he is going to be her mate and is in relentless pursuit. Just to top it all off, Ivy insists they wake the remaining humans from the spaceship so they don't all die once the power runs out.
So begins the journey to safety of Ivy and her humans and Ketahn and his friends and sister searching for safety from the queen. They journey to the lands of their enemy (the enemy of my enemy and all that) discovering much about each other along the way to their eventual HEA.
There was a lot to like about this: - aliens and humans getting to know each other - world building was decent - a journey (always fun) - an evil enemy obsessed with our MMC - 🔥🔥 - setting up for a new series with some of the other characters - redemption arc for a couple of book characters - nice inclusivity
Flaws (not too many): - they learned each other's language super-fast; like waaaay too fast - some ediitng issues with misspellings (not many but the occasional annoying one) - my science brain was really struggling with
But overall this was just a lot of fun and these two were so sweet together! Can't wait for the next series.
This book needs a million stars. Did I think I would love a book full of spider men who lives in webs? No. Do I now fantasize about it? Yes.
I’ll start with the world building. Holy crap. When I tell people about this book I tell them it’s basically like your first experience years ago watching the first Avatar movie- it’s this beautiful, alien world we can’t even IMAGINE. The way I could visualize the trees and plants and sky and the way they were living life was just insane to me. This NEEDS TO BE A MOVIE the way it’s written like that.
The author is just amazing (she’s one of my favorites!!) and her writing is just killer. I was so freaking amazed by the way she was able to write the language barrier between Ivy and Ketahn. I re read the first page of it in awe of how she captured it- and the way she was able to have them learn each other’s languages??? It was so beyond realistic and it’s why it reminded me of a real movie.
The romance between them…it was beautiful. The way they started out was dramatic and confusing for them but the way they so very slowly understood each other and came to care for each other and seek comfort in each other…chefs kiss. The spice isn’t immediate (slow burn) but this is three whole books long!!! So there’s plenty enough throughout. The way Ivy gets to show him about pleasure (by the way my heart felt so broken for him and vrix men in general because WDYM sex is like a fight for dominance and there isn’t pleasure ?) and the way they fell in love so deeply and romantically….and don’t get me started on how poetic Ketahn was about his woman.
Please I can’t recommend this book enough. People look at me crazy when I say my favorite book is about Spidermen but trust me it isn’t. It isn’t just a beautiful romance it’s two whole worlds colliding in a way that’s so interesting it’s hard to put down. I read all 3 within 3 days I was so dedicated and intrigued.
(and oh my god subscribe to her and follow her because she has amazing illustrations of this book and scenes it’s crazy)
📖 : The Spiders Mate Trilogy 👩🏻💻 : Tiffany Roberts Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Let me start with telling you all I am arachnophobic. Did that stop me from reading a book about a spider type Alien? Nope
I wasn’t sure exactly What I was getting myself into, but from chapter one I was hooked and I had read the entire trilogy in two days.
Ketahn is so Incredibly sweet and let me tell you that I love him. The way he treats Ivy is a total protector and a real sweetheart. I have to tell you the way he tried to learn her language and teach her his is one of the most beautiful things.
Without spoiling anything let me say that there is growth throughout for both characters. And the other characters who are introduced make you want to know more.
One final thing you need to know.
Is Ketahn a spider man? NO! He is a VRIX! Just ask him.
3rd time rereading this series, so I figured it was a good time for a review. First off, I'm a huge arachnophob. But that did not stop me from loving Ketahn. His character is a work of art. And I can see myself (my human-ness, so to say) in Ivy. Well-rounded characters, amazing plot. I don't know how this writing duo does it, but they did it. The world of the Vrix is culture filled and something I can follow without feeling like I'm drowning in information. This story is just all-in-all fun. It keeps me reading every word, even during my rereads. And the romance? 10/10. You see how it develops, the twists and turns. See how the two different beings fall in their own ways. It wasn't held together by spicy scenes. It built up. I can't wait for my next reread.
I loved this book so much (0r I guess books?) this was a journey and I adored every second of it. From the very beginning Ketahn and Ivy had me hooked. These two starting off alone and then gaining a family. a tribe. and then Ivy winning against Zurvashi. I adored the world building of these books and I loved the character development. I also am literally sobbing over little baby Akalahn. I'm so excited for the next Vrix books when ever they come out. I am not ready to leave this fantastical world of spider alien men just yet lol.

this trilogy is absolute perfection . throughout the series you grow connected with the characters and experience feelings of love, hatred , anxiousness and happiness . i’ve never read such a compelling series as The spiders mate and never loved any characters so much. i don’t want to give anything away but if you’re unsure on whether to give this a try or not , definitely try it out! it’s beautiful. the words are woven together so well to create a series nothing can compare to.
This entire series was so well written and one of (if not) the best monster romances l've read. The plot was super intriguing and action packed. The romance was seriously sweet which was surprising in the best way. The dialogue wasn't cringey.
I loved the Tarzan meeting Jane vibes of the first book. All of the jealousy and claiming each other was 🥵🥰 The ending was great. 🕷️🔥
I’m definitely interested in reading the other Vrix books
man oh man it’s soooo good!!! I mean if a writer can make a spider sexy then they have to be exceptional. And Tiffany Robert’s delivered.
🕷️sweet and spicy romance 🕷️loving protective MMC 🕷️weak but finds her strength FMC 🕷️Tarzan and Jane feel 🕷️ language barrier 🕷️cultural and physical differences (which makes for some funny scenes) 🕷️ good plot with action and some politics 🕷️found family
Omg... 5 stars... I spent all damn night finishing this... I love it so damn much. This has jumped from my curiosity series to my favorite series to date...
His Nyleea leaked, and the broodling comes... Well it flooded really, it didn't just spill

The number of times I've re-read this is crazy! Ugh makes me wish I could forget just to read it and feel that rushed excitement. You will not regret reading this trilogy
I truly wish I could get amnesia just to reread this all over again and it being brand new. I cried. I will continue to cry. One of my favorite series ever.
