Rate this book
Las Vegas. City of Sin... and sinfully tempting demons. Bring it on.

Five years ago, the Gates of Tartarus were opened, allowing hordes of hellions to spill out onto the earth. Humanity has found a new normal as they discover that angels and demons walk among them, and good and evil are not as black and white as they may appear.

When I awake drenched in my captor's blood with no memory of who I am, only one thought rules my find out who held me captive and why?

Two demons stand between me and my veangeance. Alastor, a hellhound shifter and dark sorceror who hates me with as much passion as he desires me and Cole, a sinful wheelchair bound incubus who's seductive power works on everyone - except me.

They don't trust me. I don't trust them. But for now, they have what I need - information and power. Now all I have to do is figure out if I can give them what they want from me without sacrificing my soul... or my heart.

Okay! Let me take my time! Elizabeth had me at the opening. I’ve worked in the Theatre industry for 20+ years and Opera for over 15. She had me at Turandot! The reference to the opera. Omg Raven and Cole!! Swoon!! Loved to see Alexi and Alandi!! My heart was too full at the crossover. I loved the start of this series. Elizabeth always gives us a good mystery to explore and solve and I can’t wait for more. I really loved this book!! Classical music, history, paranormal romance and opera. SOLD!

Demon's Song is the first book in Elizabeth Blackthorne's Requiem of the Fallen series. This story centers on angels and demons and is surrounded by mystery and tinted in angst.

Raven is strong, she has some skills but her memory loss makes her very vulnerable and her emotions unstead. However, she's standing tall, working her way through. I loved the female support I'm this, Lily is an apprentice to one of the guys and is like family to the other but she becomes a true friend to Raven, supporting her whenever she needed it.

The MMCs left little to be desired, both Alastor and Cole are complex but their attitude at times (Alastor with every interaction) grated on me. Alastor is an a-hole. He's mean, gruff, aggressive, rude and so much more. I hated the way he treated Raven and he's determined to see her as the enemy which has him acting out but there's an attraction between them that they both hate. However, there's another side to him. Alastor works for Concordia, the organization that keeps humans safe from the creatures of Heaven and Hell. So he has some good in him, I just wish shows that side.

Cole on the other hand has his sweet moments. I loved how caring and giving he was towards Raven but then his feelings get hurt and he lashes out, not seeing the part he played. Not taking real responsibility, he's the victim, it wasn't a good look. He became a nasty piece of work but I've seen the good in him I know he can be better. Cole is also really sad, so unlike Alastor, I don't hate him, in fact, I feel kinda bad for him.

I'm hoping the guys improve, I'm not one for bully romance. I am hopeful. Not only were things improving with Cole at the end but there is a hot human doctor and an adorable hacker that's a wolf shifter that have made an appearance.

The plot was great. There is the mystery surrounding Raven (not her name), what she is, what powers she has, where she comes from, and the list goes on and on. Including what happened in those tunnels. Then there's the missing girls and occult symbols, something big is brewing. And if you think that was enough there are ancient artifacts, thiefs, and more. I read Demon's Song from cover to cover and I'm still not sure what's going on, I can't wait to find out in the next book.

Such and original and interesting storyline.
There was action, drama, a bit of humor, spice.
It took me a little bit to get into the story, but once I did, I didn't want to stop reading.
I feel like we do get some questions answered, but I think there is still so much to uncover. I'm definitely interested on how the dynamics of the current love interests, Raven, Cole, Alastor and will play out. I have a few suspicions on who might become apart of the harem.
Overall, great start to the series.

This book got me hooked right in the first pages. Storyline is phenomenal. This one was so good. I think Cole might be one of my favorite characters all time. Loved reading about Raven. I have so many questions now. So many I need the next book like asap. Story has tons of action and yes steam. I definitely recommend this story. Definitely blew my mind. Cannot wait to read the next book.

A Woman and Her Demons

A fresh take on a demon romance. This story has elements of violence, spice and a FMC who is coming into her own. With a Hellhound and Incubus vying for her attention she finds herself in a messy love triangle. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

I really enjoyed this story, and found it really unique compared to other demon romances I've read so far.
It's a great mystery with very different characters and the fact that the main character has no memory of who she is. I'm really excited to see how she develops, to see a different side of Alistair and absolutely more of Cole!!
Also.. I really want to know what's happening in the basement. 🙈🙈

This book/arc was sent to me in exchange for an honest review. Where to start? This book starts off with the main female character not remembering anything about where she is, why she has blood all over her, how she managed to kill a group of men keeping her prisoner. As she escapes , it brings her into the path of Alastor a shape shifter/hellhound and Lily a Succubus.

After collapsing from the effects of drugs she had apparently been given in captivity, she is given sanctuary whilst Alastor investigates her. How was she not possesed, did she mean to kill the woman he was trying to save? Who is she working for and why won't she tell them her name or where she comes from?

Cole, has money and power running his club of sins. He has the looks and happens to be an incubbus (sex demon) as well. There is palpable chemistry between Cole and Raven, the female currently resting in bed under his watch. He finds himself falling for her. And Raven struggles to deal with the feelings, she experiences when in close proximity to Alastor. He's rude, mean to her and humiliates her, yet her body still responds to him.

Cole and Alastor were in a sexual relationship before Raven arrived on the scene. It was interesting to see the dynamics behind their relationship. How Alastor seeks to dominate his relationship with Cole . Without adding any spoilers that give away any major plot lines, this book is a captivating read. I loved the character growth throughout the book, the way the relationships change throughout the book.

It is well paced, with action, multiple points of view. I always find the multiple points of view helps the reader understand the motives behind what each character does and says. It adds more dimension to the characters. I love paranormal fantasy books, this has tropes in such as reverse harem, forced proximity, hidden identity/powers. It has elements in it which are dark but it just adds to the atmosphere of the story. Now patiently waiting for the next book.

Received ARC copy of this and omggg! VERY unique tale about angels and demons in a whole new light. I won't give spoilers but it's **** Alastar for me and #TeamCole!!

Raven starts out not remembering anything about herself but we (and she) start to get hints on what she was before her memory gave out as the book progresses, and to me it seems clear what she was but again not giving out spoilers! I love how badass she is and she's unique in that she's excitingly violent yet also so innocent at the same time - very interesting!

Alastar is a literal asshole and I'm usually into the alpha a-hole thing but with him I see no redeeming qualities yet so I'm just going to sit back and wait for the next book.

Cole is rich, hot, and desired even through his disability but he gets his heart broken so much that it even had me in tears and I don't tear up lightly!

Lily isn't in the harem but she was a great comedic relief and a good friend to both Raven and Cole - loved her!

All in all I can't wait to read the next book. I'm still pissed at Alastar I'm sorry, he just left me so pissed the way he spoke to Cole so I'm going to need some HEAVY redemption in the next book before I forgive him and I'm thinking that's where we are headed next time so I'm excited!

Great book

I’m glad I read the warning in the front. I don’t think I would have continued reading the book if I didn’t know ahead of time. Other than the somewhat non consensual sexual contact the book kept me interested. Alastair rubbed me the wrong way every time he spoke. The female character and Cole just kept coming back for more. I hope the next book has those two growing a backbone against him even if it’s to punish him for how he acts and talks. I want to know more about her history. Her wings are different than demons, and I don’t understand why they wouldn’t suspect her being an angel or nephilem. She seems to have morals and recognizes sins. She is strong and resistant to demon magic. She knows how to fight with and without weapons. It was great reading the guys point of view when they were recalling her fight. She apparently smells really good too, even when she’s covered in blood.
The discovery of her she is, is all background information that will build up through the series as this book had other activities and things they were investigating. There was quite a bit of MM action. Not really my cup of tea, but it might be for some people. I’ll definitely read the next book, thankfully it’s out.

This story is so different from what you'd expect but I liked it! I like the FMC, she's skillful, but she's also vulnerable due to her memory loss. I liked that she's got a good bestie in Lily, I'm excited to see how she's able to continue to help Raven out.

I am not really a fan of the guys, Alastor has definite growth that's necessary, cause he DOES good work for Concordia. So he's got a good side that's kind, but DAMN he's brutal. He's not an alpha-hole, he's a straight up -ss hole. I really hope he changes towards her, if not he needs to be gone. Cole is a bit better, he lashes out when his feelings get hurt, instead of taking a step back he just goes back. I feel partially bad for him, maybe. He doesn't have as much work to do as Ala-hole does but still work. It's a bully romance, but usually the guys are a bit more redeemable, but I'm still interested in seeing what book 2 will bring.

This book was so complex, that I know we've only scratched the surface of everything going on in this world. And even more that we don't know much about yet or haven't learned. I'm ready for more of the plot and to see how Raven can go back at everything she's facing.

Demon song - book 1- raven , this book I could not put down for a second.

Raven is a strong, independent FMC, even if she doesn't remember exactly who or what she is, but we start to get hints of what she was before her memory gave out as the book continues, and it seems clear what she was but again not giving out spoilers! It's f***ing amazing how badass she is and she's unique in that she's excitingly violent yet also so innocent at the same time.

Alastar is a literal alpha asshole, I love me an alpha asshole, but he really gets on my nerves, I really hope he redeems himself in the next book. Cole is rich, hot, and desired even through his disability but he gets his heart broken so much that it even had me in tears. Lily isn't in the harem but she was a great comedic relief and a good friend to both Raven and Cole

But with that said I can't wait to read the next book.

I love Elizabeth Blackthorne books. She is great at writing RH. First series I read of her is the Wrath of the Fallen series, and this book is set in the same time frame as that, just a few years later.
I cannot tell you how excited I was to see Alex and Amadi and their daughter?!?!

Raven is a strong, independent FMC, even if she doesn't remember exactly who or what she is. And the men she has getting her attention, wowza. And they are such opposites but it's so awesome.

I absolutely love the mm action, and look forward to mmf. Unless, it's mmfm, since there seems to be a certain shifter maybe coming for the ride.

I'm super excited for the second book. I hope it's a long series like the Nephilim series. That one was excellent and I see this following the same track.

It's been a while since I read a RH with this kind of story. As in demons, angels, fantasy galore. The start of the book sucked me right in so I really was excited to read it. Did it deliver? In the best way possible really! Cole and Alastor who are already in a relationship and now adding another brings a new dynamic. I love the growing the harem over books thing and I can't wait to see what happens. I love the action, the story and the way the relationships evolve. I don't want to spoil but this is a must read for sure!

This is the first book I’ve read by Elizabeth Blackthorne, and I must say I am hooked. I loved this book. If you are into paranormal romances, I am telling you that you will want to read it. Demon’s Song is Book 1 of Requiem of the Fallen Series, and I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in it. The world and character builds are amazing. I loved the storyline as well. The chemistry between Raven and Cole is fire. This book had me from page 1.

As always be mindful of the triggers because I have none, and what I like you may not. Happy Reading!

What an awesome read. It was nice and hot and full of danger and betrayal and falling in love with underserving idiots. I'll use this in place of what I really want to say, because I have to behave. Raven is amazing and Cole is between the sexy and amazing and the "Stay away from this imbecile, girl". Alastor is the "This one deserves a kick between the legs. Twice, just to be sure" kind of man. He better change a lot or beg a lot in the next books, or he'll be in the doghouse in my mind. I loved this book. I'll just sit here prettly waiting for the next one

uncomfortable

So much dub con ….. like normally it’s a scene. This, every time almost she’s basically telling no and they don’t listen. I don’t know. I get the plot is a great idea, but between the degradation and other things on this book, I basically only like one character. Hard to read, grateful for the trigger warning, but like yeah, every scene but 1 or 2 is dub con so be warned.

This book is a dark RH fantasy romance about angels and demons. Raven is our main character who is missing her memories. The MMC are demons are alphaholes. They don’t have a lot of redeeming qualities right now. Please read the trigger warnings as dub con was a main theme (there is a lot of it). There was enough mystery and intrigue for me to want to read book 2.

This is an RH romance that puts a unique take on angels and demons. This has an intriguing cast of characters and I can't wait to see who becomes a part of Raven's harem. Raven is strong and shoe emotion. Her story has mystery that I can't wait to read how it unfolds.

Demons

I enjoyed reading this intricate story of Las Vegas Demons. I found it took a little extra to get into but once the story was rolling found it easy to read. The relationship between the characters grew and evolved and helped the story progress nicely.

This sat in my kindle for 2 years. I decided to give it a go and really enjoyed the characters, plot and spice. Imagine my disappointment to come here and find out the series has pretty much been abandoned from what I can tell. Shame.

Demon’s Song is the first book in the Requiem of the Fallen series.

Tartarus has been opened and all demonic invaders have surged onto Earth.

Raven has woken up with bodies everywhere no memory of what has happened. She is strong but losing her memories has made me vulnerable.
Raven and Cole 🥵🥵

Alastor is a badass half demon shifter and half witch. He is also harsh, rude and very aggressive towards Cole. Alastor also works for Concordia (helps keep humans safe from creatures of Heaven & Hell). We also (briefly) meet Carlisle who is a doctor & Lily who is a lesbian and demon.

I can’t wait to read more of Raven’s story.

4.5 Stars. What an interesting and intriguing twist on Demon romance. I loved the different personality types and how they blend. The spice was top notch but the layers of symbolism mixed in was even better. The mystery will keep you turning pages. Also I know this is why choose but #TeamCole. Also on the edge of my seat for the story behind the basement! IYKYK
