Stray: An Omegaverse Romance

Rate this book
I came to Verdant Falls to die. Instead I was given a new life I never asked for—along with power I can't control.

Spirits want to possess and control me. Growly alphas want to claim me as their own. All I want? To stay out of danger and figure out how to use my power.

The werewolves that live near my Aunt Clara's ranch have different plans. You see, I came here to die from terminal ovarian cancer. Now I've been turned into a Lumos—a powerful omega whose light shines brightly.

Too brightly. The power inside me attracts darkness every time it erupts.

Thankfully sweet, calm Noah is here to show me how to be an omega. His scent calms me. Other scents... do something new.

Alphas Roman and August intrigue and arouse me. I want them—and they want me back. But a dark curse that has claimed Roman's pack keeps us apart.

I need to harness my power and make a choice between alphas, or the entire world will fall when darkness possesses my reborn body.

But I can't choose. I don't think I should have to. I want all the alphas—and they want me too.

Stray is a 90,000 word sweet omegaverse romance with werewolves, darkness, and paranormal threats. It is part of a trilogy that will end in an HEA.

A Reluctant Werewolf, A Complicated Curse

Abigail is dying from cancer, so she runs away to her aunt’s place in Alaska to die. However, one horrible night changes all that. Roman, August and Noah are cursed werewolves, forced to become wolves every night at sundown. This book sets up the detailed and extensive background of this series - there’s plenty of elements and characters presented, as well as challenges to be overcome. I felt this book was more urban fantasy than omegaverse reverse harem, though maybe it’s slow burn (really slow burn). The ending left me hanging, wondering what the what!? I’m curious to see what the next book brings.

This was a really good start to a trilogy. It definitely ends leaving you wanting more. But the journey is well done. Sometimes it felt a bit slow and sometimes it there was so much that I felt a bit lost. It almost felt a bit much with so many groups and illnesses and demons and curses. But overall I liked the set-up and there were all kinds of feelings flying about for the characters and me. And I really, really need to know what else is going to pop up.

After reading the first few chapters of this book my head was a bit confused as to how the story was going to continue with that massive bombshell Abigail (FMC) gets at the beginning of this book. With everything that happens to her she packs up and moves to land on her Aunt Clara's doorstep. Only for things she finds there to have a bit of a sinister undercurrent. I loved how the main story had a few background stories that intertwined together to keep you on your toes. It certainly did that to me. Ill looking forward to seeing where the next book goes

Lucy never fails to amaze me with her books. She has excellent character development, excellent plots, and a world that is vivid enough to picture. Also in true Lucy fashion lol she leaves us with a cliffhanger which you could expect knowing this is a trilogy.

The FMC is turned but left to die. However what kind of story would that be lol. Along comes our heroes/harem lol to save the day and teach her and love her.

This book was very interesting and so unlike any of the omega verse novels I have read before. Interesting magic element that was added in, but I feel like they could have done more to explain why her type of wolf exists I just felt like it was so strange to deviate so far from typical omega books without some more detail.

Also - I personally need to know when the next book comes out hah! That ending AND epilogue section just left me with so much angst!

Lucy Auburn is usually a 4+ stars for me, but her foray into OV fell a little short for me, so take this with a grain of salt as everyone has different opinions and this is only my personal opinion. Auburn created a new and interesting take on OV. This is a little dark with some triggers so please be aware. Overall, I enjoyed it, Abigail and crew had a hard road in this book and deserve some happiness.

This is such a great omegaverse. It tells the story of a girl who is about to die but instead something else happens. The choice wasn't hers to make however and the FMC is turned by an awful guy and left to die. Except she didn't die but survives and a few hot guys help out. Her aunt has some secrets of her own. Loved it but the ending was confusing so I hope there is a book 2 coming.

This story was SO different from other OV stories I've read. The cliffhanger is a doozy though so be cautious when you're getting started! This story also pulls at the heart strings, with our FMC is turned but left to ☠️.

I like that the guys come along and save her, they also teach her and show her love. There's plenty of secrets and I hope that we get some answers from the next book!

Abigail

This is Abigails story, the beginning of the Darking girl series. She's had a very rough life with her parents and an ex. The guys find her and take her in as their own. They were all very well written so that you fall in love with them. There is a cliff hanger so be ready for that.

★ Not your average OmegaVerse story ★

—>>> This book is finely layered with many unique developments, and I look forward to reading the next in this series. The dynamic between Noah and his two Alphas has its own presentation due to a past which affects them all. Very eventful with its supernatural aspects other than shifters and OV themes.

Not sure how I liked this book. The characters were ok but the storyline was meh. This one did not excite me.

I liked this book. It made my favorites shelf. I like the dark element of the spirits and how she is tempted by (and even gives into once) that darkness. I like the tidbits at the end which makes me interested in the next book in the series. At the end, we learn that shifters like her always give in to the darkness and therefore someone is hunting her to put her down. We also get introduced to at least one other member of her harem.
