Quick, darkish, and steamy with potential. The editing though… I hate being that reader, but when it takes me out of the story, I feel like it has to be mentioned.

When I opened this book and saw the playlist I: a) knew this was going to be a fun read and b) said I'd give it an extra star just for the song choice alone. Except this turned out to be a 5 star read on the enjoyment scale so consider it a 6 star read with the extra star.

Its only flaw is that it's so short, I NEED more of Bryce and Mackenzie in my life. I swear it ended right when their story was beginning. Miss Briar, please, I'm begging give us more of them, pretty please with a perfectly sweet toffee apple on top?

I'll have to check out more of this author's work ASAP.

This is just a short erotica no plot lol. Kenzie just wants to mess around with her boyfriend but Step brother Bryce interfer with her plans tagging along. She thinks he hates her since he bullied bullied her and always messes with her. So when they go to a haunt he makes her go ahead of them. He’s going to teach the boyfriend a lesson and when he does they go looking for Kenzie.

Things go 0 to 100 when he makes her suck him off and show the boyfriend no one takes his girl. Blood and sex in the maze. Pretty much it.

Om drama, drama, sexy time, virgin gal and no manwhore

I love a good, twisted novella and the premise for this one was promising… until I found spelling and grammar errors on almost every page. I couldn’t get past it. Hoping this author continues growing and writing because I did genuinely like the premise.

For thirty short pages, this book DELIVERED. I mean, who else would I go to for my incredibly dark, taboo romance bordering on deranged erotica? Briar is platinum standard, future award-winning and incredible for how she can turn any scene into a nightmare, plucking small details and turning them in to a hellscape.

Bryce and Mackenzie are the stepsiblings beyond help. Bryce borders on clinically insane with his obsession over Mackenzie and refuses to let anything, or anyone, stand in the way of what is rightfully his- his sisters virginity. Mackenzie is in no way innocent either as the most gruesome of scenes makes her more slippery than a bloody ice rink. I need to see more of these characters SOON. Please turn this into a Halloween series every year.

The Halloween, spooky season vibes are there. The darkness is suffocating. The plot is only beginning. The perfect little book for Halloween to get you heart racing and legs open.

I really enjoyed this one! Great spooky season read, even if it's after spooky season. I do wish there was more of Mackenzie and Bryce. Bryce is a bit obsessed with Kenz and would do whatever he feels like he needs to do to keep her.

When I read the trigger warnings and saw all the hype on BookTok I was like YESSSSSSS LET'S GOOOOO. I'm all for spice and erotica but wtf did I just read? How did this get so much hype? This is just a short erotica with no plot, 100 typos, and piss poor grammar... did anyone actually proof read this before it went to print...?

You know when you're watching a p0rn0 on PH and the storytelling is absolutely atrocious but you can't put it down because it's sooooo bad? That. 36 pages too long.

It's rather hard to write a review of a 35 pages long novella, but still some words have to be written down to aknowledge this small gem.

'Harvest Massacre' by A. Briar tells a Halloween story of two stepsiblings, Bryce and Mackenzie, with the mix of a boyfriend of hers. It's simple and typical minus the psychotic stepbrother Bryce, who apparently has a thing for his babysister. And when the boyfriend shows up and the stepsister is all but doll up for her date, Bryce looses his s**t and teaches the boyfriend a lesson.

I liked the unhinged side of Bryce, how possessive and obsessive he was about Kenzie and the story got a whole new vibe when the titular massacre began.

Despite being short, it's a good gory story, perfect for Hallowen treat. And I hope we hear more about Bryce and Kenzie soon. I'd like to learn about dark side of Kenzie ('cause I bet she has one)!

This was a short but not sweet read. Meaning if you’re looking for a cute romance novella this ain’t it. It’s forbidden and has plenty of those trigger warnings we all love.
It’s 3 chapters of wondering how it’s going to play out and roughly 12 pages of what you were hoping for.
