All his pride, undone by the scent of her heat.

Pride demands he take his position in the Royal Guard and uphold the family name.

He should not even be thinking about the little human.

But her scent calls to him. She is everything he craves: soft, generous, giving.

He can never take her,

Never bite her,

Never claim her.

But the more he learns about her, the more he’s convinced she’s his.

And then she goes into heat.

He’s lost his heart. But when it comes time to do his duty and choose between family and his luscious little human, can he make the right choice?

Sattar is a full length romance with a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhangers. It can be read as a stand alone, but is best enjoyed as part of this series. If you like feline aliens who are big pussy cats for their ladies, this series is for you.

Once again, Ami Wright has delivered an alien romance that drew me in and kept me turning pages

*****
Rating: 5 stars
Steam: 3 flames
Genre/Tropes: Alien, Fated Mates, Wealthy MMC, Heat, Suspense, curvy FMC
*****
Sattar was a fascinating MMC. At first, I wanted to smack him and yell at Natlea to RUN! But as the author peeled away Sattar’s layers and we dove into the story, I started to understand him. I not only warmed up to him, but I was willing to burst into flames for him!

Natlea just got out of a bad relationship and now she has trust issues. She doesn’t need an arrogant kitty cat protector acting like a jerk... But she has somehow gotten paired up with Sattar, so she is going to do her best in this situation. Watching her grow, find her voice, find herself, and accept herself was amazing. By the end of this book, I was over the moon for both of these characters.

Once again, we pick up at the ceremony for the royal guard when they are all tasked with protecting the humans. The underlying arc of “who is responsible for the coup” is further unveiled and we learn more about the who, what, and why. OMG. I was not expecting the twists and turns in this book. Sattar and Natlea’s journey is not going to be easy, but it is totally worth it!

I adored the characters (once I stopped wanting to smack Sattar), the steam was spicy, and the storyline was original and suspenseful. I absolutely enjoyed the heck out of this book and can’t wait to see what happens next!

Do I recommend? I sure do! I am loving this series
Will I keep reading? I sure will

Happy reading y’all

🔥 “Tell me what you want, sweet. I want to hear you beg for me.”
~~~
Sattar comes from one of the wealthiest and most influential Ardun families and now he’s about to become a Royal Guard and part of Shahra Fareeda’s harem. He’s one angry, bitter, arrogant and snarly male. For him, his duty to his family and pleasing his mother comes first even if he’s miserable about it. But there is more to Sattar than meets the eye. That Ardun is such an honorable, protective and passionate male, who’s just trying to do the right thing. And I just adored that alphahole!
Natlea is so kind, sweet and compassionate - the exact opposite of Sattar. But she’s also very brave and I loved her feistiness. Even with everything happening on Earth and with her ex, I loved that she doesn’t give up and is so courageous to fight for what she wants and deserves. I loved that curvy woman so much!
I loved everything that happened between Sattar and Natlea. From the moment they met, their attraction was undeniable. But Sattar was fighting tooth and claw against giving into temptation. But the more he denied it, the less he could control himself around Natlea. And when his control finally snapped… Oooooh, the spice was spectacular! Dominant, possessive and dirty-mouthed Sattar is a sight to behold and I couldn’t get enough! And with those Ardun aliens, you get even more - all the knotty and bitey goodness! They went through some ups and downs, but Natlea and Sattar were such a perfect match and I absolutely adored them for loving and accepting each other exactly as they are, with all their flaws, weaknesses and strengths.
In addition, the storyline was fantastic! I love that with each new story we get to explore Ardun more. But don’t get me started on Sattar’s mother… That woman is vile! On the other hand, I absolutely adored his cousin - Nyco - that mischievous male made me laugh so much! And with the added suspense and unexpected revelations, I was glued to the pages till the very end.
Overall, the story is another remarkable addition to the series! It’s filled with non-stop action, danger, suspense, twists, betrayals, humor, scorching hot romance and magnificent characters.
I absolutely loved it and cannot wait to see what happens next!
“I would do just about anything to stop you crying.”
What do they say? Don’t judge a book by it’s cover? Well in this instance it should be don’t judge a pussy cat by his fur or his attitude. I have to admit, I wasn’t really looking forward to this book because Sattar was just such a giant jerk in all the prior books that I personally didn’t think he deserved to have anyone fall in love with him. I was very wrong. There was so much going on underneath his handsome sneer. I had no idea. He just about broke my heart when he was breaking his own. So much of him and what he felt about his own self-worth can be summed up with his comment that without his family’s money and standing in society no one would never want to stay with him. I mean, how sad is that?
This book had a lot more intrigue and angst than the last two. It comes close to a tie with Amir, which also had a ton of emotion and action. I felt the end was a little rushed and unresolved in regards to his mother but I think Ami had to be vague near the end with more books that occur at the same time. She doesn’t want any spoilers I’m sure. I know Jaro is next. We know less about him than any of the others and I’m intrigued to learn more. Eventually we will also get Ikkad’s story which should be entertaining. He’s almost as big a jerk as Sattar seemed and he has Anya with him. She’s not sweet and kind like Nat and I’m sure he’s discovered she’s not a pushover. He’s also already committed to the harem so I’m afraid there will be complications there. I don’t know if Ami has plans for Nyco, Sattar’s cousin. He’s not a guard so he can’t be in the series. I really hope she can do a spin off for him or something though. I just loved him to bits! He has to get a story of his own someday!
All in all this series is Ami’s best. It’s even better than the Lost Romans and that’s saying something. I just adore these cats and their stories and eagerly await the next and the next.
Title: Sattar
Author: Ami Wright
Pages: 211
Release date: 31 October 2022
⭐⭐⭐⭐
~
Sattar has been working his entire life to get to the stage at the end of the gladiator games. So he won't allow anything to ruin it, until an attack happens and he's forced to protect a tempting human woman.
He refuses to give in, but he's drawn to her and when she enters heat... He's not sure he can resist.
~
Guys what a sweet short read with enough tension to keep me on the edge of my seat.
I haven't read the previous stories in this series and I could still follow along without any trouble, so this is definitely a stand alone that's part of a series.
Sattar is grumpy supreme, with a soft underbelly that only Natlea gets to see 🥺 like seriously he is the epitome of 'I hate everyone except for her'.
Natlea is so sweet she's gonna make your teeth ache and we support this. She really shows us that kindness isn't a weakness and that it's never bad to be kind to those around us because you never know their story.
I really adored them as a couple and oh my goodness Sattar's cousin is pure perfection 🤣 I loved him and his wild ways although I know I would kill him if we ever met.
I know I'll be jumping into the other books in this series soon.
~ A short, sweet and spicy alien read that will give you all the warm and fuzzies ~
Sattar has been born into a wealthy and pretty much elitist family on Ardun. He has been taught rather than raised. He must do his duty and please his mother no matter what the personal sacrifice is required from him. Safe to say that this doesn't make him the sunnisest of males, then again I doubt it would make me all sunshine and roses either. Despite all that or maybe in spite of it, he is at heart a truly honourable male. He loses his heart to Natlea pretty quickly although he would never admit to such a thing. She won it completely on her own merit as well and without even really trying. He tries to pretend that it is not happening but there is only so much a male can take. Natlea is the most genuine person. She has made some bad choices, especially if her ex is anything to go by. For someone to end a relationship the way he did, she is well shot of him. That doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt all the same. Still she tries to remain true to herself. Just the right amount of feisty that she stands up for herself without becoming overbearing or just plain difficult. I loved these two so much and i think that these might be tied favourites now along with Hesam & Rosa.
This story is another wonderful tale by our author. I love the cat men that purr and know how to treat their mates like queens. And they have such expressive tails. Now Sattar is quite the grumpy and cranky man under so much stress trying to achieve his dream of joining the Queen's harem. Maybe then his mother will think him worthwhile. But as the warrior's are about to take their vows to join the Queen's harem, there is trouble. The humans are threatened and the Queen tells them to protect the humans. Sattar finds her- Natlea- and tries to deny he's found his mate. Our author fills out her world more in depth with each story. Her characters are developed in layers and it is fun to peel back those layers and see the true character in their best light. Especially Sattar, who I wanted to smack to start behaving better towards his true mate. Danger and intrigue, heat and rut, possessiveness and cherishing, a mother you want to disappear, friendships, catnip, emotions and love. This story flows so smoothly , is fast paced and hard to put down. Enjoy.
Sattar was a bossy, rude, arrogant a-hole, and still somehow lovable. Actually, probably the closest in personality to an actual cat out of all of the cat aliens (so far). Lol! The hot and cold, push and pull in this book was almost enough to make me crazy, but then he would go all pleasure dom and good girl me back into loving and wanting him to have his HEA. ...Even if I still wanted to smack him and tell him to get his priorities straightened out.
Natlea was maybe a little too gentle and accepting for me with all of Sattar's indecisive, I want you, we can't keep doing this BS. I am glad she finally stood up for what she wanted, but I definitely wanted her to do it sooner...and then also make that male beg. Really beg, not just a single statement and then melt. No, I wanted him to put it all out on the line first and beg for her to stay and hope she loved him. Despite that, I loved the fact that he stepped in and wanted to be her claws and protect her softness/gentleness rather than trying to change her.
I'm looking forward to reading more in the series!
Cat boys exist and they are gladiators!! I mean, they aren’t boys, they are men! But you get it.
Sattar is as tsundere as they get, he fights the feeling but of course a woman will always get to a man’s heart with their cooking ;)
This book is part of a series that is worth reading completely. Each book has information that aids in understanding their universe/world and how Andur (cat people) society works and their biology.
This love story is full of harshness, a misunderstanding soul, and a sweetness that comes once they get their shit together. The characters in this story are different, they add to what is going on around them and let me tell you: the Ardun are sure in the middle of some chaos and these gladiators are somehow caught in the middle of it!
It’s interesting how things turn out and it gives me the urge to know what else is going on with the other gladiators!
I feel this entire series will show a huge shift in the world of Ardun and Humans
I LOVED IT!!!! Sattir's snark totally made him who he is and was founded based on his upbringing. Natlea is his emotional match in every way. I absolutely loved their story. The self sacrifice for familial duty vs what is fated. Is it either-or, is it both-and? Sattir was captivated by Natlea from the beginning, although he didn't want to admit it. Natlea had her own baggage, after having been dumped by her ex-fiancé via text/video message. Thrust together for her protection, their fated circumstances were put directly in front of both of them. I could feel their love growing. Their intimacy was super hot too. I absolutely love this series! The love between the two beings is so palpable and I thoroughly enjoy how each main character and love interest has a different personality and physical look. Just another awesome one by Amy Wright!! A must read.
This book has what I have come to expect and love from this series, some forced proximity, some unexpected feelings and a magnetic draw between characters. What I particularly enjoyed was this one really fleshed out some of the political upheaval we have gotten in the first few books! Sattar himself is an arrogant grump who is determined to not fall off NatLea and is frankly flat out rude to her at times. While I actually enjoyed him I did find NatLea to be a bit of a door mat and that bothered me. I'm glad she finally spoke her peace a bit at the end, but I still wish a bit of Sattar's rudeness (like his fatphobic comment in the beginning) was addressed.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
Sattar and Natlea
I had so much fun with this book, Natlea isn't the typical FMC that is all bossy and inflexible. She is a sweetheart and she truly wins Sattar's bitter heart because of it. Sattar is from a very Welty and influential family and ad he is male his mother doesn't really care for him, just tells him what he needs to do to help the family but never gives him any affection. He is very cold towards e everyone and doesn't even do what he wants just what his mother tells him. Well an adventure with a human female turns his life upsidedown and he starts to want things for himself. I absolutely loved the catnip scene. I'm never going to see it the same way. Great book.
I was the editor for this wonderful creative and thoughtful (and hot) scifi romance from Ami Wright. Cat hybrid gladiator (entertainment) rescues human woman from chaos. Sattar's got the aloof alpha male thing totally going on. Set in the same universe as Wright's The Lost Romans series, this focuses on political upheaval on the planet Ardun. And cat-men who will purr for the right mate. And rip apart anyone else.
I enjoyed this book. Another great addition to this series. Good world building. Both Sattar and Natlea grow as characters throughout the course of this book- which I liked. Sattar was kind of a jerk in the beginning and I had to warm up to him, but all worked out by the end. The story had some nice steamy moments, and some things I didn't expect. A good read. 4 stars.
Although he denies it, Sattar is extremely attracted to Natlea from the moment they meet. He thinks being grumpy, bossy and rude will make her keep her distance. She’s not able to deny her interest despite his attitude, but questions the eventual outcome…..if they can both survive the danger.
This was my least favorite of the whole series so far. She tried to make the MMC gruff and disciplined and a dom. It didn’t work out so well in my opinion. And the FMC didn’t have enough self respect. Most of hers don’t but Natlea was the worst. The best part was probably the under the desk scene😉
I jumped into the middle of the series, so that’s on me. The world building was a little confusing, but I hate reading through a series with long recaps at the beginning of each book.
Fated mates, weird peen, aliens, lots of oral
Great new installment in an awesome series of interconnected standalones about cat-human hybrids, meaning you don't have to read the first 3 books to enjoy this one, but I still recommend you read them, because they're great!
This time around, we follow Natlea, a chubby and sweet baker who has just been dumped by her fiancé while she's on a trip off world with her friends. She's devastated to find out he's already moving in with his new girlfriend he cheated on her with In THEIR APARTMENT!!! She's still trying to enjoy her girls vacation... Meanwhile, Sattar is about to have all he's ever wanted: a place in the Queen's Royal guard and harem, as well as, hopefully, the approbation from his strict mother. When a riot happens at the ceremony, the Queen orders the gladiators to save the humans. That's how Sattar ends up taking care of Natlea, to his displeasure. He can't think straight when she's around: her scent is mesmerizing to him. He gets more and more attached to her, all the while knowing that their relationship is doomed, as he'll soon be in the Queen's harem. While the political situation is unstable, Sattar must still stay close to Natlea to protect her from harm. Will they resist each other, and how can they ever be together? Find out in this book.
I really loved Sattar! Natlea is sweet and strong, despite everything happening to her, and Sattar is protective and growly, and a little bit stubborn... I recommend Sattar and this whole series if you love strong protective alien men who fall hard for their fated human...
Sattar, the male feline humanoid lead, is from a prestigious family and has spent his whole life attempting to be acceptable to his mother in his matriarchal society. He’s entered the Gladiator Games and plans to enter the Shahra’s harem to gain approval and position of his own. Natlea, the female human lead, is on Ardun with friends, escaping from the sadness of being dumped by her now ex-boyfriend. Whilst she’s attracted to Sattar, his arrogance and swinging moods are not pleasant and she can’t work out how she’s offended him. Sattar knows she’s his mate but this goes against all his plans…
This story is dual POV, well written, and an erotic sci fi romance. I enjoyed the character interaction and the relationship development, given Sattar’s starting position. I found Natlea very gentle and appreciated that Sattar encouraged her to stand up for herself and supported her. I enjoyed their intimate scenes and was amused by the banter between lead and secondary characters throughout. I enjoyed the significant character development of both lead characters, something I have come to expect and continue to enjoy from this author.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
