Still more mayhem and high jinks in the Kutherian universe
READ THE BOOK! IF YOU DON'T, YOU CAN'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE MISSING!
La, la, la, la! More words just so I can tell you to start at book one and read the whole series!
Nothing I can tell you will ever make my point better than just reading the book.
Space aliens? Got 'em! Were creatures? Got 'em! WILD space battles? Got 'empty! Interdimensional travel? Got it! And lots more! Did I remember to tell you to Read the book?
Having BA, and Michael, as well as their twins then, as a bonus, Tabitha, Pete, and baby Todd, all together in one book?
You'd think it would be all pink hued and cute - but what we actually got, was a double whammy of kick ass awesomeness!
Plus the odd cute scene, of course! Lol
I loved how this ended up, and loved the way that, despite the Leath being terrified of BA, she still went out of her way to rescue them - especially when she learned that kids were involved!
I'm loving this new side we see from both BA, and Tabitha - especially as the Mum attitude can quickly change to the fierce protectiveness that real parents will feel for any child, let alone their own.
This story was great to read, and had me rooting for BA, and all her crew, to win - and win big - so I'm really hoping that, in the next book of the series, this will actually happen 👍
I reached the ending elated with the way that the story was going, but sad it ended before I wanted it to - which seems to happen with every single book I've read within the Kurtherian fold, so far - so I really look forwards to the next book.
Unfortunately, according to my reading list, that won't be for some time, as I've got another twenty books to read before I get back to the main series again
But, I'm very happy to see plenty of the series I'm still reading through, plus three new series to start, before I go back - that's a huge amount of words to enjoy, and I really DO love my words! Lol
So, now this book is done, I'm back over to book four of the Judge, Jury, and Execution series: Your Life is Forfeit, which, of course, means Rivka and her team!
I'm loving it, that I have so very many series to enjoy, and characters to either love, or hate - it's just so exhilarating to read these books!
I have to say I have enjoyed the whole Kurtherian Gambit and Endgame immensely. It’s definitely space opera with the main protagonists being more than human - more in an Asgardian/Thor sort of vein but with spaceships and heavy weapons! It’s been a rapid all action romp all the way through the books, although I don’t particularly care for all the family/kids stuff that turns up more and more in the latter books but that’s just me. It has given me pause though to stop on this one - at least for the time being - but having read 25 of them since 7th January I can say that they are difficult to put down.
Solid 4 to 4.5 star rating! I've read this series from the very first KG book and have continued to now and will continue to do so. Every book has some humor, action and a little bit of romance here and there with some heart aches. I've thoroughly enjoyed BA's journey with Michael and her whole team. This installment was just as good as the others. The new adversaries are like an unwanted annoying wart that won't go away lol. I'm excited to see what comes next!
To start with, I love how Tabitha and Peter's relationship has grown into this true and lasting life! And the baby's name is awesome! I do hope someone takes up the mantle of writing the books about Alexis and Gabriel, that also includes K'aia! I believe they would be some really wonderful stories about bonds closer than blood, with bravery and loyalty that would rival the closeness of The Bitches! Like I said, this book is awesome and emotionally fulfilling! More please!
All I can say is, when's the next one coming? Don't want to add any spoilers but this one has left me wanting to know what Bethany Ann and Tabatha found out about the Ooken on there recent mission. Loved the new friend and protector for the twins and I'm sure that it is only the beginning of some exciting adventures that will leave Micheal ready to put them all back in the vid-docs where they can't be hurt during their adventures! Although my TBR list continues to grow, Bethany Ann's books always go immediately to the front.
Bethany Anne and Tabitha get stuck into the OOKEN! These ladies take no nonsense from anybody and, being enhanced, they take no time to recover from childbirth. They also have husbands who stand back while they do their thing. Not that their husbands aren’t just as tough, especially Michael. But this is an equal opportunity future where everyone does what they are best at. The OOKEN appear to have unlimited resources but BA and Tabitha discover an unexpected treasure.
I would recommend any book by Mr. Anderle as I've been following his work since I discovered him 4-5 years ago! There is nothing quite like this series. Of all his work the continuing story of BA and Michael and the rest of the family will be first on my list! I only wish that he wasn't such a prolific writer so that he could spend ALL of his efforts in finding and killing of the Kurtherians! THAT would make me and said all of his fans ECSTATIC!!!!!!!And just when is the next book due??? Soon we hope...
Really liked this one. Finding a.companion for the twins, the Peter, Tabitha, and Todd, Tim and Sabine, the multitude of Jean Dukes references, a battle for Gabriel with the Huns... Just saying, Michael's writing, his ability to tie-in weird or extraneous pieces of knowledge are part of what fascinates and keeps me returning to his books.
Thanks for writing books about characters I can find emotions and things I relate to. No one is perfect. We just have to do the best and be the best we can, knowing our harshest critics are probably ourselves.
What weird creatures these Ooken are. And how bloodthirsty they are. Another race one of the Seven worked on and made decidedly worse. Taking to space once again, taking the fight to their enemy. But this time the Nacht children are accompanying their parents. Along with a young Yollin lady they rescued from the slave mines on New Devon. The Ooken are formidable, throwing massive numbers of ships at our group. Once Bethany Anne shows up though you just know it’s going to be lights out for this wave if intruders. Now to find their home world!
Bethany ann' getting tired of the Ookens taking over innocent world's and strip mining them. Her twins are out of their induced pod-dock mine year stay ,Tabithas baby is due NOW, and Bethany Ann's ready to take her newly minted star fleet and bring some much needed beat down to the bad guys getting up in her stuff!! It's space battles, planetary spanning all out war folks! Grab this book and hold on!
generally i loved it, particularly the space magic plot devices to explain away some things, would maybe have been better having an a few extra chapters though and more focus on the ass kicking than the interpersonal byplay, i mean they didnt even get to let their hair down and let rip its just hinted at a couple of them maybe having had the chance to do it in the sidelines worse the infantile jokes and over the top swearing was mostly absent... whats going on did that fool bump his head ?
Love it, love it love it!! Can I just say this over and over? Let's see.. Love it, love it love it!! Love it, love it love it!! Love it, love it love it!! Love it, love it love it!! Love it, love it love it!! Love it, love it love it!! Love it, love it love it!! Love it, love it love it!! Love it, love it love it!! Yup it looks like I can!! And that people is how I feel about this particular series and this Arthur style of writing. DONT MISS OUT!!
Most of my reviews for Michael and friends are 5's. The reason? Great books. When I started reading 55 years ago I read old school Sci Fi. It was fast paced, great theories. I stopped reading sci-fi in my 30's because it got boring. Now I love the advanced books being produced in dystopian worlds as well as the rest of the fantasy. Keep them coming, I'll keep reading!
Bethany Anne the kids and Michael get the help of the entire armada and a nic e surprise of helpers along with Peter And Tabitha to help with battling the OoKen and the updated weapons they have. The Saga continues and is as good as everything before Love Michael and Bethany as Parental figures with a twist and now Tabitha and Peter is great to see the next generation.
As I have said before it'a like am on a steep hill on roller skates wiith no way to stop, but these stories are great. Everyone should read them, but maybe not the ay I do. I have a request to ask of you hoping that you will do it.Use my last name in astory GARDNER. I know that is alot to ask of You, you may not do it, butI had to ask.Do an Old man I am 72, may pass before to ong Thank You.
I really have to stop starting Michaels books after midnight - here we are at 05 something just finishing another adventure that absolutely demanded it be read until finished. I hope I don't come across any more of Michaels books when I wake today - it would be nice to sleep while it's dark and not be forced to stay up all night reading.
I was disappointed in this book after waiting for it to be out to find it was not what I thought and was not the book I want to read all of your book was very good and I couldn't wait for them to be out, but the last two was a disappointment. I think you forgotten about the other people in the book . I hope you get back on track for the next book
The relationships developed in this series and continued in the entire Kutherian Universe are vibrant and an enjoyable party of the story telling. The action in this book gets a little less time progressing the story because of it. It is fun to see the family grow and interact. Overall a fun read that could have been a bit bigger.
Bethany Anne is called from raising and enjoying her kids to war to save friends and innocents. The Ooken come calling with their vicious agenda. Fortunately. BE is up for it along with Michael and others of the Etheric Family. I like the action, humor, romance and family time. I look forward to the next book.
I can't believe that this series is still this addictive, ounce I start reading I just can't stop until the end and then all I can think is when's the next book coming out. These are the most fun and laugh out loud books I've ever read. So glad you started this universe for us thanks.
While all of your previous books have made me laugh out loud, groan, or grin fiercely, this is the first one that made me cry. It was when Tabbie told Pete (he'll always be just Pete to me lol) the name of their son. That is a beautiful moment, and my hat goes off to you. Just please don't make it a habit... I Totally Hate to Cry! ; )
The Ooken are proving to be more elusive than they first appeared to be, their greed for power would have them destroying planets just to acquire it, for once I feel like Bethany Anne is in a all or nothing chess match. I’m actually hopping that’s the out come let’s raise the stakes, it’s the end game after all.
Loved this book, love the series! I am not usually a fan of long series of books, but I love this one. Yes it gets drawn out, but all the different characters stories help it be very cohesive. Hoping more of the Guardians and Bitches get their other halves in future books.
I'm as addicted to Bethany Anne as a tweeker is to meth, although she is not as harmful. Whatever else I am reading gets put on hold whenever another one of her books is released. This one has action surprises and further development of our favorite characters. I just love these books.
This was a much more coherent story than the previous few books, that doesn’t mean it was perfect, but it was much easier to read. There is still too much time spent standing around making ‘snarky’ comments, instead of just getting on with it, but it was definitely a more enjoyable read. If possible I would have given 3.5 stars, but as it was an improvement on the last book I have given it four.
Having read every KG book as well as the various spin-offs I’m pleased that BA and Michael are back. Plenty of action, the Ooken are pretty cool bad guys and the younger generation is starting to step up. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is the seeming lack of progress towards finding those da_n Kurtherians.
Well I was missing Bethany Anne's original story, so I thought I would go back to read, Death Becomes Her. Who am I kidding? I read all the books. Finally finished this week to get back to Blood and War. I was so afraid Adam was going to be eliminated. I love K'aia's character. I love how mellow Peter and Tabitha are with baby Todd. I really hate those Ooken f**. Love this book.
Bethany Anne is fed up with this hybrid race and takes the war to them. We see old friends, learn something surprising, and see Alexia and Gabriel growing.
Another amazing BA book, and I can’t wait for the next one!
