Every time we're in the same room, he goes out of his way to ruin my mood. I'm normally levelheaded, but there is just something about the smoky-eyed graduate student that makes me want to throw my manners out the window and let him have it.
And maybe let him have me while I'm at it...
Eric
Julianna Doyle is smart, funny, and unbelievably beautiful. Most men would jump at the chance to be with her, but her sunny disposition grates my nerves like no one else I've ever met. I've made it my mission to get real emotions out of my fellow grad student, all the while fighting my instinctual desire to take her to my bed.
When Julia and I are forced to attend the same conference, I use the opportunity to really dig deep and figure out what makes Julia tick.
OMG I loved this so much. This was definitely one where I intended to read for a set amount of time before getting things I needed to done. But I just kept reading until it was finished. I loved Julia and her rational approach to things. Eric initially annoyed me as much as he did Julia, but he so very quickly grew on me. Excuse me while I fan myself. I loved how this all played out and especially how it ended. I am so freaking excited for the rest of this series.
This was a prequel to Britt McKenna’s new series, told in dual first person POV and leaves you with a HEA. This was a great read that revolves around enemies who become lovers, grumpy and sunshine personalities and a good bit of drama.
I love that Julia and Eric are complete opposites, but harbor secret feelings for each other. I love how they were thrown together and instead of being miserable about it, they called a truce which lead to steamy weekend. I love that Julia was the light that brought Eric out of his dark tunnel and caused him to realize what he needed to do in order to gain his happiness.
This was a great book and I can’t wait to see how this series unfolds.

A new to me author I enjoyed this introductory story and am really looking forward to the rest of the series.
An interesting spin, with both characters being psychologists there is a fair amount of introspection and high awareness of their actions and they spend a lot of time reading into each other (with varying degrees of success it has to be said)
Enemies to lovers, Eric and Julia are a great couple who absolutely match perfectly, even if they don’t always see it themselves
Well written with an engaging story it’s a nice read.

This is Eric and Julia’s story. Eric does not believe in love, while Julia is a ray of sunshine, who classes him as the bane of her existence. When these two are forced to spends some time together, they spend most of it delving into what makes each other tick. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable, and they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which is an enemies / lovers’ romance, with engaging and relatable characters, emotions, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner. This book is so good. Had me smiling, laugh, anger and almost in tears. My fav line was when Eric called them a trope omg I had the biggest smile!! The moment Julia and Eric had their dumb moment yes it was a dumb moment because they wanted the same thing just we're not saying it. Drove me nots I wanted to throw my kindle jk that would have suck. I wanted to punch Eric dad in the face a few times. The enemies to lovers vibe was so well written.

In the book “Loving Lawson” we meet Eric who does not believe in love and on the other hand Julia is in search of the one. These two are complete opposites and her sun shiny ways drives Eric crazy. When these two are forced to spends some time together the interactions are hysterical. I love the chemistry between the two of them. This is a great story with relatable characters, great banter, some angst which leads to an interesting story. I enjoyed this book.
I really enjoyed this story. I honestly had never read about two grad students who were both in psychology.
I liked both of the MCs. Julia was sweet and I always like reading about sweet women. Playa Eric! Oh his reasoning was so off the wall and I laughed at his antics about how'd he act around her. Immature? Sure, but I loved how it wasn't connecting.
This book has no substance no chemistry a went way too quick. The characters barely interact before they jump into a relationship. They sleep together then the book jumps forward 5 months then they break up for almost 2 months he asks her to marry him etc. what was the point in making the book so fast paced? It’s not enjoyable for anyone.
Just a little rushed in my opinion, but the book had some really good stuff there. Obviously being a short book it's not gonna have everything in there, but there was some stuff I would've liked to have been added. Some scenes that would've added a little more clarity etc.
Overall, not bad for a prequel at all. Definitely recommend if you're planning on reading the rest of the series.
This was my first read from this author. Oh my God, Julia and Eric were amazing together. I truly enjoyed their story. I read this one in one sitting. This was a perfect enemies to lovers story, 5 stars.

Not many reviews so I was a little skeptical. It was nicely written book and had a good plot to it. A few gaps here and there, but I was impressed and would recommend to a friend for sure.
It only seemed right that I read this book since I too married a Lawson, ;) however, I wasn’t expecting to laugh and cry as much as I did. This was a great read so much so that I devoured it in one sitting. 10/10 recommend.
Enemies to lovers. This short story has all the feels, angst, attraction and great story. Love Eric, when he gets his head out..... Julianne rocks it from the start!
