Ava just lost her father, and he left her and her mother with a pile of debt, so she is drinking the night away. She meets a handsome stranger, and they go home together; he promises to call, but he never does. A year later, Ava is about to lose her family home when she gets a call from a law firm that wants to hire her.
It turns out her one-night stand is the son of one of the partners at her new firm. Noah Forger is a big man-child who drinks and gambles. He thinks that since his last name is Forger, he should have made partner already, but his dad knows he is not ready for the position. His dad tells him to grow up and settle down, but he isn't the settling down type, but he's desperate for that promotion, so he makes Ava a deal she can't refuse.
I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
Pretty cover but the read is hallow. If you’re looking for substance it’s not in here.
The FL is literally drunk off her arse when we first meet her, the ML comes out from nowhere, she then flirts very, very poorly and they go back to her house to smash after she flat out says she drunk and in mourning.
When they meet up again finally after he ghosted her she immediately remembers him (of course) but then tosses all of her pent up grievances at him as soon as he steps through her door. “You didn’t call! You ghosted! I thought you were different! How could you!?” Ugh. 🙄🫥 she might as well have just spit on any self respect she had and tossed in her pride and self worth for funnsies too while she was at it too. 💀
By like, chapter 5 this dude is salivating for no reason saying she’s different and he’s hooked and obsessed with getting at her again. Barf. Where’s the bag? At this point I skipped to the last chapter and the epilogue and holy cow I missed nothing.
The ML’s sister is a btch who has a change of heart, the ML is still an absolute self absorbed nepo-baby, the FL is a walking doormat but she’s pregnant now, the ML’s dad is back on board with spoon feeding his silver spoon, spoiled son everything he wants again and then it’s over.
Everyone’s happy. The ML learned a lesson. The FL found a meal ticket. The dad feels good about himself and his son bc he’s “settled down” now that he’s married and everybody wins.
Snooze. No thanks. This novella couldn’t have been AI regurgitated to be more dumb, bland and unoriginal.
Learning to Live Beyond the Past and into the Future
Beautiful Ava Brooks with her dark hair and dark eyes experienced some of the darkest days of her life when her dad died. Yes, her grief came from her loss of the man whom she had loved all her life. But, a greater grief came from discovering that her dad was not the man whom she thought he was, and with his death, she discovered a dark, hidden side of her dad. Her dad may have been a generous, thoughtful man who doted on his family, but he was also a man who had left his wife and daughter with the crippling debt now threatening the foreclosure of the family home to pay for the drinking and gambling debts that dad had surreptitiously accrued.
Now, facing the physical loss of her dad and the destruction of her vision of the man she had thought he was, Ava was seeking to escape, at least for a brief moment, her grief and disillusionment at a bar, still wearing funereal black. And when the bartender hesitates to pour her another drink, she affirms that she will not be driving and that she had just come from her beloved, but apparently secretive, dad’s funeral.
But her story was also heard by one of the bar’s patrons, Noah Forger, a handsome blue-eyed, blonde-haired scion of one of Seattle’s premiere legal families. And, when he offers to drive her home, she agrees. And upon arriving at her house, she invites him in, allowing him to comfort and soothe her through the night. And, when he asks for her phone number to check on her later, she shares it with him, although she never heard from him again.
But one year later, still struggling to pay off her father’s debts and as a recent law school graduate still needing to pass the bar exam, she is offered a job as a para-legal at one of Seattle’s best known law firms, Solomon, Forger, and Riggs. She happily accepts the position, eager to have a steady income to help her to continue the repayment of her dad’s debts. But, she is stunned to once more encounter the unnamed man who had comforted her the night of her dad’s funeral—the man who took her phone number with the promise to check on her—but never did—is an employee at the law firm. And, most stunning is that her new co-worker, Noah Forger, her one-time-lover and comforter, is the son of one of the three named partners, and while a brilliant court lawyer, he is a rebel who is a thorn in his controlling father’s side.
Josie Hart’s romance explores how individuals never enter relationships free of past, but must learn to balance the power of the past to prevent it from destroy the individual’s future. I received this ARC through Booksprout, but purchased a copy for my Kindle “read again” collection.
Noah is a spoiled rich guy who was hurt in a relationship years ago and has drunk, gambled and become known as a playboy. Ava is an average girl who is left with lots of debt after her father passes a way.
This book starts off with Ava at a bar drowning her worries and Noah just happens to be there doing his usual playboy thing. They hit it off and go back to share a steamy night together. Not expecting anything the next day Ava is surprised when Noah asks for her number only, he never calls her. Ava no idea who Noah was at the time. A year has passed and Ava lands a job at the law firm that Noah just so happens to work at which is owned by his father. When he walks into her office, she is determined not to take no crap off of him and set him straight. He is a little shocked by her reaction and decides to keep pushing her buttons. When he has another mess up his dad is furious and demands him to grow up an find a wife and settle down or he will never make partner at the law firm. Of course, being the excellent lawyer Noah is he of course finds a loophole in his father’s demands. When he finds out Ava’s situation regarding her debt, he asks her to be his fake wife. What will happen when these two live under the same roof? Josie did an excellent job with this storyline I loved at and every page of it. Both main characters were great and the banter will keep you laughing oh but their chemistry is off the charts. The ending was superb. Job well done.

❁ Surprise Pregnancy ❁ Marriage of Convenience ❁ Billionaire Romance
Ava and Noah have a hot one night stand and then Noah never calls back. A year later Ava gets hired as a paralegal at Noah’s father law firm where Noah is also a lawyer. Ava is determined to ignore Noah and his flirting so she can focus on her job. Noah is content with his life as a single rich bachelor even though he can’t get Ava out of his head. Until Noah’s father tells him to grow up and get married if he ever wants to become a partner at the firm. When Noah finds out Ava is struggling to pay all her bills he thinks he found the perfect solution to both of their problems. The chemistry between Noah and Ava is great. This is such a cute and steamy read with a good plot. While Noah can be perceived as a careless player I loved reading is point of view and seeing how much more there is to it. Josie Hart did a great job of making her characters fall in love with each other without realizing what was happening. I really did enjoy reading Accidental Baby for the Billionaire and my only complaint is once it was over I it didn’t really stand out to me. This is most likely because I read a lot of similar books because I like them so it takes a lot for one to really stand out.
This book is a slightly different twist on the billionaire genre. Ava is a girl who is doing her best to clean up a mess that her now deceased father left her with. Things just keep coming and piling up on her. Noah is a senior lawyer at a prestigious firm who just wants to have fun and do his own thing. The first meeting between the two is a quick and lust fueled, that each ones has their own reasons for. A year later when they meet again it is in a completely different setting and a big surprise. Ava not needing anymore complications in her life quickly calls Noah on his bs. Noah just brushes things off until her messes up and his dad pulls the chain on Noah's career leash. With one snoopy accident Noah finds his loophole to his dad's demands and offers Ava a way to fix her problems. Through the story, it is easy to fall in love with the two main characters. Ava is just trying to do the best that she can, and gain the courage to face her biggest obstacle. Noah has to practically be hit over the head to see what has been going on and what is in front of him. Picking up the pieces and moving on is never easy. A solid story that keeps the reader entertained from page one. I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Spoilers ahead********** * * * * Okay, normally I love Josie Hart's books, but this one fell short because the MMC was such a spoiled rich brat that I just couldn't like his character. He was a massive gambler, a drunk, a male wh***, was very self-serving, and didn't take no for an answer. If someone told him no, he threw a fit like a toddler. He was a lawyer who consistently was arrested for drinking and driving and just walked away with no consequences. He acted like a typical spoiled brat with no values or regard for other people, and the only good thing he did was pay off her house so her mother didn't lose it. She consistently put him first, and he always put her last if she was even a thought to him at all. So it wasn't so much the story as it was his character. I just didn't like him. Being with that many women was a huge turn-off, like it's disgusting. And he so was not over his cheating ex after 10 years. Nope, major red flags. I'd a run, especially after he threw her out even after she told him she was pregnant. He didn't even grovel at all. Didn't work for forgiveness. Still going to read the next book bc Aaron didn't seem as bad as Noah. And he's already a father.
Finding The True Meaning Of Love And Family - Noah always did everything in his power to get what he wants, so he found a way to get Ava to help him adhere to his father’s conditions. Ava thought her agreement with Noah would be simple and straightforward, but what didn’t count on was their growing affection for each other as they spent time together and embarked on the horizontal mambo. Unfortunately, not everyone was happy about their union and their budding relationship imploded when their past partners returned and Ava revealed her news. However, Noah soon realised he couldn’t live without Ava and took steps to get her back in his life permanently.
The storyline was so captivating, that I found it difficult put it down, once I started reading it. The characters drew me into the story and kept me on the edge of my seat, as I turned the pages. I urge you to carve out a few free uninterrupted hours before you start reading this book, because once you start, you won’t want to stop. It is definite must read book.

Ava and Noah meet when she was drinking her sorrows away. He charmed her enough that they left together and shared an amazing night. Ava thought it would be one night however was surprised when he asks for her number. Yet he never called her and then Ava started her new job and got surprised when she runs into Noah at the office. Noah is still drawn to Ava, but she keeps pushing him away. However, when his behavior jeopardizes his chance to make partner, he asks Ava to marry him, and he'll pay her debts. It was supposed to be a pretend thing between them, but it quickly became very real. Will they admit to their feeling for one another? Can they get their happy ending?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

A really good fast-paced story of an enemy's to lover's romance story. I would encourage you to read this novel as it's worth it!

Noah and Ava met at a bar where she was drinking away her pain. It led them to a one-night stand. One year later he became one of her bosses at the law firm she was hired at. Noah was at a crossroads in his life and his father made it clear that he would not make partner until he married. Ava and her mother were on the verge of losing their home if she couldn't come up with the money for the mortgage. When he came up with the plan of marrying for a year and he would help her with the bills, he never expected that feelings would grow between them not to mention the package he had given her. Will they turn their fake marriage around to something real and will it lead them to happiness? This story had me in their corner cheering them on!

I’ve read a few from Josie Hart now. I love how at first glance she writes a character I’m not sure I’m going to like cause let’s face it , they come across as an absolute ass. But then there is an underlying vulnerability that starts to explain them. This book is no exception, Noah is a lawyer playboy and lives up to every single preconception you can imagine. He meets Ava, and let’s face it he treats her appallingly. But she’s feisty and can call him in his bad behaviour.
I love it when I get invested in the characters from the first page (even the assess!)
Thank you Josie Hart for another fabulous story. Looking forward to some of the supporting characters getting their own stories and HEAs.

Ava and Noah meet at a bar where Ava is drowning her sorrows and trying to forget the mess her dad has left her in. Noah just happens to be there at the right time and they flirt and kiss before going back to Eva's place for sex. Later he leaves with her number but he never calls. A year later Ava starts a new job for a very well known law firm and who should she bump into but Noah. Things don't go well, she calls him an ass and makes it clear she's not interested in him which he doesn't like. This Noah is nothing like the one she met that night. Can they work together and learn to get on and can the deal they make work out. Loved it, I was hooked. Definitely will be reading more books by this author.

This book was amazing. It captured my full attention from the very beginning and kept me reading nonstop. I could not put this book down until I finished it. The characters were likable and relatable creating this feeling of hope for Ava and Noah to get their happily ever after. They both had personal issues to work through that caused a strain and tension in their fake marriage. The playboy who gambles and drinks too much to escape a painful past. Ava who needs to make peace with the mess her father left her to clean up. Noah and Ava have something beautiful growing between them if only they will admit to each other their true feeling before it is to late and they let love pass them by.

Josie Hart has yet to disappoint me! This short, fun and super hot read great! How does she manage to do Al that is beyond me. This time around Ava is a young paralegal who has just lost her terrible father when she hooks up with the young, hot, billionaire's son, lawyer Noah. Except she doesn't know who he actually is. After an extremely hot night together they part and don't see each other again for a full year. By the title you might be able to guess where this will end up but, honestly, after reading it, you might still don't know exactly that happens and that's where the fun in reading it lays.

I have read this book, though there is a happy ending, I can never understand that, in 2023, romance authors are still churning these books out.
It's literally the same storyline each darn time, just different characters. Billionaire meets young woman and is immediately attracted to her, and don't be fooled by her attitude, when you read it from her perspective she is attracted to him too.
There is always a cynical best friend, and almost a dead, sick, or depressed parent.
How about another storyline? Don't we readers deserve that? How about sickness, grief, mental health, support? That also is part of long lasting happiness and romance.
Love a good marriage of convenience, that turns into so much more! Noah and Ava are attracted to each other instantly, but their first encounter doesn't turn into more than just a ONS.
A year later Ava needs money while Noah needs a wife, the only logical thing to do is get married. Even with rules set in place these two mean so much more to each other than they realize.
A surprise pregnancy, a drunk fool and losing the women of his dreams, Noah pulls himself together to win Ava back. Ava heals Noah in ways he didn't know he needed healing!
It's such a beautiful story with a wonderful ending🤍

Josie Hart has written a charming billionaire romance. Noah and Ava's first meeting is just what they both needed although it was just one night. A year later they end up working for the same company. You will want to read this book to find out what happens next and why. While Noah does not appear to be the ideal hero, in fact more like a jerk, he may just surprise you as he did everyone else in the story. This book is well worth the read and will have you smiling at the end.

If you love Josie Hart books then I believe you can't go past Ava & Noah's story. In order for Noah to get the promotion he wants he suggests to Ava a fake marriage for a year & after that her debt will be wiped. The lines are blurring between what is fake & what is real. What will happen when he gets promoted & I'm pregnant? The author has done a fantastic job with this story.

Josie Hart has done it again with another fantastic story.I found myself connecting to both characters and their emotions in this book and found myself wanting to yell and toss my kindle a few times . Noah needs to settle down and Ava needs money to save her parents home and when he comes up with a plan that helps them both out ,will it end up destroying them both? The storyline in this book was very compelling and captivating and unputdownable .I'm still reeling with a book hangover this morning from it.

Noah came from money. He was kind of spoiled. Ava did not come from money. Her father died and gambled and put her and her Mom in great debt. She had one week to vacate the family home. She was hired by Noah’s firm and he was in her office looking for a folder and saw the notice that Ava was in trouble. So he made a deal with her, his father wanted him married to become a partner. He told her that if she pretended to be in love and marry him, he’d pay off all her debts. So now the games begin…
Ava is out for the night getting drunk after her father's funeral. She found out that her father was a gambler and left her and her mom with a lot of debt. She has to figure out how to pay it, but for the night she's going to be reckless. She finds a job where Noah works at a law firm. He's never been one to settle down after his ex hurt him. He's wanting to advance in the firm, but no one takes him seriously. He convinces Ava to marry him to show his responsibility and commitment in exchange of him passing her debts. Will they end up finding love?
So this book started off as one night stand. Then went into working with said one night stand a year later to getting married to pay off MC dead dads debt, to accidental pregnancy, to real love. Noah is very cocky and not in the alpha way in the Im a child way. Ava has had a rough go and she feels for Noah and it end up with her HEA. The book had spice. Not let’s breathe and I want that but it was there. Most of the book was fighting feelings and waiting for the end. When they decided they loved it was cute and HEA. Quick read
worst books i've ever read like actually. He wants her cause she doesn't want him he gets her then he throws a tantrum cause he seen his ex treats her like shit and she jus takes it. He kicks her out then takes it back and she jus says okay all excited like he jus gave her the world. I regret even opening the book. The book was all over the place they didn't even have to time to fall in love it was jus bs. the whole thing was bs. As a teenage female this whole storyline is exactly what no girl should read and normalize the concepts.
3.5 stars For me, this was a quick read that I finished in one sitting. It moves quickly, and I wish the plot was more developed. I would have liked to know more about some of the characters. I'm just hoping that the friends will get their own book. I adore Paige and Ava's friendship, as well as Noah and his friends. I was curious about the Cavilers. Overall, if this becomes a series, it was a good start.
Accidental Baby for the Billionaire by Josie Hart is an emotional, touching, sweet and steamy fake romance story of Noah and Ava..A Billionaire womanizer and a jerk and a woman who's in deep financial trouble..A lawyer with a chip on his shoulder with trust issue who doesn't do love but one woman who bring the best in him and teach him how to love again and be a better person in life and his career..
