About the author

Nancy Zieman—author, designer, businesswomen, producer, blogger and national sewing authority—was the host of the popular show "Sewing With Nancy" which appeared on Public TV and online. Nancy was also the founder of Nancy's Notions, a direct marketing company, featuring sewing and quilting products.
Nancy wrote numerous books on sewing and quilting, including her autobiography, "Seams Unlikely," which was co-authored by Marjorie L. Russell.

Great for a beginner

I'm more experienced...however I did learn something from this book...that's what I loved about Nancy Zieman it makes me feel bad that she died.

Very easy to understand the concepts and tecnique. The basics are simply explained and then used as building blocks to make gradually more.complicated.variations. Only thing is, my Omnigrid ruler is 6x24, half inch smaller on both sides, so cutting required extra close attention.

Packed full of basic information. There is a "how to" at the end about making a rod pocket for a wall quilt that I might use. Also want to look into the "little foot".
