I like the patterns in the first book (500 Crochet Stitches {The Harmony Guides, V.6}), but all the same rules apply: very easy to follow patterns for stitches, and patterns demystified.

I have been crocheting lap afghans for nursing homes and scarves to put out at my local bank for winter. These pattern books are great. I look doing new stitches and new designs.

I'm sorry they numbered the stitches instead of using the charming, old-fashioned names, but otherwise the book was wonderful.

Great book! I constantly re-check this book from the library! This is yet another crochet book that I would love to purchase!
