I checked this book out on my brother's girlfriend's recommendation. Not quite sure why it is called Kid's Crochet, because I thought it was good for adults too! But it really simplifies things, which is nice. Only uses single stitches in all the patterns, which is nice if you are just learning, or a slow learner like me! Cool patterns too...like cupcakes and bears!

Excellent photos, instructions and illustrations. OCD in its best application. I made a hat with earflaps, cute! It was a little small but that was my fault (I am resistant to gauge testing). Katy wears it anyway. I should probably buy this book for our reference.

I picked this book up to teach my daughters how to crochet (and to help me refresh my memory.) I love the simplicity in it! The book teaches a variety of crochet techniques using only the single crochet stitch. There are no intimidating patterns or confusing crochet shorthand, just straight-forward directions and good illustrations. This would be good for kids as well as adults who are starting from zero in the crochet world.

This is a pretty good book for all ages, though it is primarily for children. It has lots of great color pictures, good easy to understand directions and fun projects sized for kids and things they would be interested in. I would recommend it for adult beginners also as it has a fun and colorful pictures both illustrated and real throughout the learning process. It starts with basic finger crochet then takes them into using hooks which is really neat because most people don't realize how easy it is to make some things with just your fingers. My daughter really likes to finger crochet and has made herself some really simple but nice bracelets, necklaces, belts, etc.

What a fun book....to look at! I really wanted to learn how to crochet, but I just cannot get the hang of that hook. BLAST that hook!!! I'll just stick to my knitting needles. It's still a great book for the kiddies and those who are new to crochet.

This book had super cute patterns and the directions (although I did not follow them) seemed very clear and easy to follow. I really want to make the cupcake pincushions. This would be a great addition to my crochet library.

Good instructions that start out with basic projects and get progressively more complicated. This seems like a good resource for kids starting out and even a good one for adults needing a refresher in certain techniques.

I absolutely LOVE this book. All the patterns are in single crochet, the simplest stitch, and it's great for teaching young kids! My daughter is left handed, so I'm still trying to teach her. But this will help a lot!

Meg of Elsie Marley (elsiemarley.com) recommended this one. After seeing the cute hat she made for one of her kids, I had to get it. I love it!
