Stuck Under the Mistletoe

I thought this was going to be cute and fun but these two were just too ragey for me. The bickering was super immature and they both went from 0-60 just way too fast.

Katie’s whole world is flipping upside down when an incident at the school she works at goes viral. She’s under a lot of scrutiny and it seems everyone is out to get her, so she is hoping by going on a blind date her best friend set up with her brother her luck will turn around this holiday season. Katie wasn’t prepared for her date to stand her up, but she is still trying to hold her head high and enjoy herself and she finds that in the mysterious man at the Christmas party. Who knew one kiss would be so life changing because when the sparks fly between Katie and her mystery man the truth starts to come out, he's Griffin her date that stood her up. What ensues between them is utter chaos, but they can’t deny their chemistry. Their hatred for each other burns bright but so does that spark of attraction. This story had me laughing one second then wanting to slap Griffin upside his head. I saw where he was coming from in the drama, he wanted no part in, but he could have handled it better without being a jerk. I also felt bad for Katie because she was doing what she felt was right, but I wished we had more time with these guys to find out the story behind the painting and more. Another cute and quick holiday read with all the charm.

I love this series so I was so excited to get another “Stuck” Christmas novella! It can definitely be read as a stand alone but if you’ve read the others it is nice to recognize some of the characters.
My favorite thing about this book was the instant chemistry between Katie and Griffin, even though they are very much opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine. Griffin definitely started off as a jerk but luckily figured things out so these two could get their HEA!

Best friend’s brother
Why did I want to read this? It’s a Christmas story. The best friend set her brother and best friend up on a blind date. Griffin is a lawyer.
What I loved about STUCK UNDER THE MISTLETOE was Katie - she was principled, weathering a storm with grace, and she was lively. Poor Griffin was pretty much double teamed by Tracie (sister) and Katie and he had the strength of character to do the right thing because of Katie - and that was hot.
This holiday novella was a page turner and enjoyable.

Stuck Under the Mistletoe was SO GOOD! I loved reading about Katie as I’ve been wanting her to have her own book since I read Erin and Oliver’s story- Stuck With the Boss. Coffman definitely delivered!
This was a delightful and fun holiday read that will put you in the holiday spirit! It’s also a feel good romance that makes you want to ignore everything so you can get through the book. I was so thrilled for these characters and adored the ending.
A must read for sure!

Nice
Who doesn't love a burst of grumpy sunshine around the holidays? Stuck Under the Mistletoe is just that!! Seeing Katie chipping away at the Jerk- Griffin's grumpy pessimistic attitude was sweet. The bantering is nice adding to the chemistry of the main characters. I just wanted more spice....more naughty.
This opposite attracts will have you all in your feelings because Griffin will get under your skin.

I liked the premise of this book and I wanted to like it but Griffin was just such a horrible character that I couldn’t really enjoy it. He made assumptions about Katie based on what was written about her, he was very judgemental and a complete a-hole. By the time he realised that he liked her I honestly didn’t want Katie to be with him because he was so horrible to her throughout pretty much the whole book.
I didn’t feel that there was enough positive interactions between Katie and Griffin for them to fall in love with each other in such a short time. I think that this was meant to be a grumpy/sunshine book but if this is the case Griffin was more a-hole than grumpy

THE GOOD 😀
Yet another author I’ve never read before that I’ve now been introduced to thanks to this spicy festive romance series. Stuck Under The Mistletoe was enemies to lovers/best friends brother perfection, and I loved Griffin and Katie’s chemistry, as well as their snarky quips and their ability to bring on an allergic reaction (IYKYK).
Katie, not having the best time of it at work due to an impending lawsuit, is excited to go on a blind date with her best friends brother. Until he stands her up. I have to admit it took me a while to warm to Griffin as I found him really uptight and dismissive, not willing to give Katie a chance due to her circumstances. Thankfully he managed to redeem himself, showing Katie a side of him people very rarely see. Also, he had some very interesting uses for a kitchen counter *snorts inelegantly*.
These two were hilarious in their distaste for each other, and I loved how they didn’t even try and hide it. However, they both eventually let down their defences and allowed themselves to be vulnerable, which is one thing I always love about romance books, gives me the warm and fuzzies.
I loved this sweet and spicy festive novella and will be adding more books by this author to my TBR pile. She knows how to write a redeemable hero, I’ll say that for her.

Poor Katie is again thrust in the spotlight this Christmas season, but this time it’s not for any good reason. As a childhood star and the daughter of a star, she’s no rookie to having a little bit of spotlight. But the viral story of her being sued by a parent for displaying explicit artwork done by one of her students has thrust her into a not so rose colored light. In an attempt to turn her Christmas misfortune around, her blind date is a fail, her kiss from a stranger under the mistletoe is a fail, & overall…life just isn’t going her way.
Griffin is the hardworking family law lawyer who finds himself going above and beyond what is required of him just to be able to get where he wants to be in life…making partner. But some things just aren’t worth the added stress & miserable life. He has a few friends and his sister to ground him, but he’s on the search for more to fulfill this life he has found himself in.
The enemy type relationship that Katie & Griffin share is electrically charged. There’s a spark between them from the second they lay eyes on each other, but they’re both fighting it. When they both decide to subconsciously go with the #ClaimYourCoal movement, they find that together they can be explosive. And together, they can conquer more to make their problems go away.
This was a cute, fun, & a little spicy holiday read.

I received an advanced e-copy of Stuck Under the Mistletoe from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Stuck Under the Mistletoe is a novella in The Naughty List series where different romance authors have each written a Christmas themed romance.
This was my first Georgia Coffman book and while I enjoyed the writing style, I didn’t fully click with the characters. I did like the heroine Katie and I especially liked that Katie refused to give up when it came to the hurdles that life was throwing her way from a lawsuit to being portrayed as a loose woman who was sleeping with her boss. She knew she had done nothing wrong and was going to do all that she could to clear her name.
My issue came with Griffin. Yes this is an enemies to lovers story but he was such a pompous jerk who thought way too highly of himself. Even with his sister calling him out for his behavior he still continued to act like a jerk and I found that I never warmed to him.
My other reason for the middle of the road rating is because I felt that the brief side story about actress Hollie Berry being photographed in questionable positions as her friends bachelorette party and subsequently having her contract with a Hallmark like station cancelled, could’ve been left out from the overall story. I kept expecting Hollie to be a bigger figure in the story than what she was.
Overall, the book was a quick read that did help to get me in the mood for the holidays with mentions of holiday parties and putting up Christmas decorations around the house.

Having read Ms.Coffman's work many times before i always look so forward to picking up more of her books! When i found out that she was going to be releasing another Christmas read i couldn't wait! I was so glad to jump back into The Naughty List world! I enjoyed this story so much!
Katie and Griffin's journey captured my attention right from the get go! This holiday season isn't go so well for Katie from the lawsuit to getting stood up by her best friend's brother. A kiss under the mistletoe seems to be turning her luck around until she finds out Griffin is the man who stood her up. Will these two go their separate ways?
I really liked the different way these two were brought together. It isn't quite easy for Katie and Griffin as these two go under each other's skin. Who could that handsome stranger be but none other than Griffin, her best friend's older brother, and the guy who stood her up. Will she be able to forget about that earth shattering kiss, or will it consume her thoughts until she confronts the infuriating man who taunts her at every turn?
These two are at each other's throat every chance they get. Griffin has such a guard up when it comes to Katie. Katie is no damsel in distress, she takes Griffin's verbal punches like a champ, and she gives them right back.

Katie is having a bit of a bad time of it. Her personal and professional life are taking a bit of a beating. When one of her best friends offers to set her up on blind date, she truly thinks what could be worse. When the blind date doesn't show she takes her licks and continues on. Holiday party it is, and she is mingling like a champ when she soon realizes the hottie that she has been with all night is you guessed it the man that stood her up a few nights ago.
Griffin is a man that is not looking of love, he is working long days as an attorney, trying to make it in the big city and attempting to stay away from anything or anyone that can hinder those goals. He isn't looking but Merry Christmas to him he just found the most sassy, sexy gal at his sister's party. They hit off, they kiss, it is so hot and then surprise she is the gal he stood up the other night. That was like a wet blanket thrown on their hot make out session! I loved the banter between Katie and Griffin and watching these enemies to lovers navigate this new adventure and feelings!!

Katie sure does seem to have the world out to get her. She’s under fire for something that shouldn’t be an issue, she’s been stood up by a blind date, and now it appears that the one guy she’s attracted to IS that failed date. And he’s arrogant, rude, judgmental, cruel, and blaming her for life in general. But for some reason, Griffin also can’t stay away from her. But is it believable, or is he another person just trying to use and abuse while pressing for an advantage?
I really needed more grovel from Griffin because he was quite the deebasaurus about 80% of the time for a while. But I guess if Katie could forgive him, so can I in the spirit of the season. And he did come through in the end, but he sure sent Katie on an emotional rollercoaster before catching a clue about how awful he was becoming. I was glad that Katie was vindicated, but still annoyed that she was so easily judged by the guy who did her wrong from jump. I guess it’s a good thing the Christmas miracle he needed came from her and not someone else.

Another cute holiday read to add to your list! ❤️ this is my first time reading a book from Georgia but I can say this was worth the read. Katie is going through a rough lawsuit and having everything around her in a mess when her friend Tracy decides to send her on a blind date with her brother. Except griffin stands her up due to his own reasons. They finally meet not knowing each others names and from there they instantly have a connection until they find out who the other is! 😅
I enjoyed Katie & Griffin’s story so much. Katie is an amazing character and I love the fact that she can hold her own ground but doesn’t mind when someone else stands up for her. Grumpy griffin in the beginning was hard to get used to but once Katie broke his hard shell he becomes a loving character! I can’t forget about Tracy being completely on board with hooking her brother and best friend up! Without her they probably would’ve never met lol.

Katie is not having a good holiday. She's being sued by a student's father, become fodder for the tabloids, and got stood up on a blind date. But then she meets a guy at a friend's party and shares a memorable kiss under the mistletoe only to find out the guy was supposed to be her blind date.
Griffin has an important job as a lawyer and when he finds out his blind date has been written about unfavorably in the tabloids, he stands her up to protect his reputation. But after that kiss, he's reluctantly drawn to her.
While their chemistry is undoubtedly hot, I have some issues with their relationship. Griffin is so ready to come to her defense from a sleazy lawyer, but then speaks to her in the same way. Seems their whole relationship is built on animosity, and I don't think there was enough groveling and forgiveness for them to have developed anything lasting so quickly. It's a good quick read with lots of heat and had this not been a novella, the author might have had more time to get into those issues deeper. Still, a nice and steamy holiday read.

Seems their whole relationship is built on animosity, and I don't think there was enough groveling and forgiveness for them to have developed anything lasting so quickly. It's a good quick read with lots of heat and had this not been a novella, the author might have had more time to get into those issues deeper. Still, a nice and steamy holiday read.

Looking for a fun holiday novella that will have you laughing then Stuck Under The Mistletoe is the book for you. Ms. Coffman delivers a story of Kate and Griffin, two completely opposite people that have this push-pull relationship. Kate is stood up on a blind date with her best friend's brother, Griffin, only to have him give her one of the best kisses under the mistletoe at her friend's party. Finding out that he is the one that The banter that goes back and forth is fantastic and the chemistry is hot. For two people who hate to want one another, when they are together it sets everything on fire. At times I just wanted to shake some sense into Griffin and tell him that he needs to put his lawyer hat away and see what is right in front of him. Kate is a wonderful woman who did nothing wrong and what he is reading about her is false. Look for the truth and stop believing everything you read.

This particular review was an interesting process. It’s been almost a week since I finished this novella, but life kept interrupting and delaying the posting of my review. I’ve read a few more of The Naughty List series in that time and there are some strong novellas amongst the 14 in total.
Unfortunately, the more of those I read, the more my feelings towards this particular book (well, one of its MCs) changed. Had I posted immediately after finishing it, there would have been more than the 💚❤️💚💔 (3.5) ‘stars’ it receives today.
This is perhaps one of the few reads I can recall where having dual perspectives just did not work for me. I did not like the MMC at all and no grand gesture or sweet words were ever going to redeem himself in my eyes. The less I heard from him, the better.
Assumptions were made, minds were closed, and careers were prioritised over doing the right thing. I’m looking right at you Griffin. The FMC was likeable (although her taste in men was questionable, ha) and I don’t regret the read. I just didn’t love it.

Katie is currently having the worst holiday season of her life with the main issue being that a parent of a student is suing her! From there we follow along to their eventual meeting and discover the truths behind all their previous decisions.
My heart was breaking for Katie, she had no true support during the lawsuit and just kept getting judged by the media. I was so happy when Griffen finally took a stand!

Katie's life is imploding and she's unsure which way to turn when an incident at her school goes viral. She's under a lot of scrutiny and unsure how things are going to turn out. Katie reluctantly agrees to go on a blind date with a friend of her friend's. The date, of course, stands her up, leaving her feeling even worse. She goes to a Christmas party and she sort of shares a kiss under the mistletoe, but then she finds out that Griffin is the date who stood her up. Can they get past his workaholic tendencies and grumpy manner and her impending legal issues to form a relationship?
I love, love, loved the banter between these two. They showed each other and their friends no mercy when talking about their disdain for each other. At the same time, they also were drawn to each other. It took me a while to warm to Griffin because he's a growly old bear but he pulled it out for me (and Katie) in the end.

What an adorable holiday season read from the The Naughty List. This little novella was a quick read of enemies to lovers. We meet Katie who is going through a tough time, an art teacher, being sued by one of her student's parents and being blasted in the media. Enter Griffin, her best friend's brothers. Trying to distract from everything happening, her best friend sets her up with Griffin. But he stands her up because of everything in the media. The world knows they should meet and they bump into each other at a party and sparks fly! A cinnamon allergy, strong willed Katie and grumpy and resistant Griffin make for an adorable love story. This one was fun to read and had just the right amount of spice. Will definitely be recommending this one and checking out this author's backlist.

When a student's nude is shown at a school exhibit a parent files a law suit against her. Now it seems everyone else is ready to jump on the 'destroy Katie's life' bandwagon. When she sees the most incredible guy at her friend's party they end up in the most incredible kiss under the mistletoe. If only they had shared names first.

Stuck Under the Mistletoe is another book in the wonderful, 'Naughty List' novella series, Griffin and Katie's story is a lovely fun packed swoon worthy Christmas must-read, a grumpy lawyer who bails on a blind date with his sister's best friend Katie and, Katie our wonderful art teacher who is not having a very festive time at all, especially as this is a girl that loves Christmas, being stood up just was the icing on the cake but fate has other plans for these two, starting with a hot moment under the mistletoe, but you can't change a grumpy lawyer overnight even someone who once was not grumpy, but with the help of Katie, maybe Christmas wishes will come true and so will the joy of the Christmas season. There is no denying the chemistry between the two and this author has packed so much into such a short, sweet story.
A must-read this Christmas time.

3.5 stars. Katie, the female lead, is an art teacher currently being sued by a parent for displaying “inappropriate” material for her students. Griffin, the male lead, is a lawyer who currently represents the parent suing Katie. When his sister sets them up on a blind date, he stands Katie up, not wanting to risk his reputation. But as they keep running into each other, he finds the attraction he feels for her is becoming more important than a job he’s not sure he even wants any more.
This novella is dual POV, well written, and a steamy Christmas romance. I really did not like Griffin and don’t feel he redeemed himself by the end. I enjoyed Katie and her morals and ethics and the choices she made outside of Griffin.

It's amazing all the things that can go wrong on the way to someone's happily ever after. Katie is a former child star now art teacher being sued by a parent, plus she is stood up by her blind date with her friend's brother. Griffin is a small-town guy trying to make it big in a family practice law firm and does not want to be associated with Katie even though he doesn't know the whole story. Katie and Griffin finally meet at his sister's holiday party and things really start happening when Katie and Griffin come together under the mistletoe. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and the first book I’ve read from The Naughty List collection. Katie is having a rough holiday season. She’s being sued by her students dad, bad rep in the tabloids and she gets stood up on her blind date set up by her best friend Tracie. And the blind date was supposed to be with Tracies older brother. But Katie believes her luck to be turning around when she kisses the hottest guy at a party under the mistletoe. That is until she learns that Griffey is Tracies brother and the one who stood her up. He had his reasons though. He’s a lawyer and when he saw her but in the tabloids he didn’t want to associate with that. The banter between these two is amazing. But one they finally give in, it gets spicy. Such a quick read, perfect to get into the holiday spirit. Can’t wait to read more form Georgia.

However, when she finds out that it's her best friend's brother well she will have a few choice words for him. Griffin has so much going on in his life as a lawyer he's trying to stay afloat when he decides not to attend a blind date due to conflict he's about to get more than he bargained for. Now he has to decide what is important in his life and if he can show Katie he's not the cold-hearted man she thinks he is. Will he be able to prove it?
