Take ‘Em out begins where book 1 left us hanging. So worth the wait. A lot of background information in this book.
Rylee is a sassy and strong FMC. She has been through it and somehow she keeps from hardening. I literally love that she doesn’t just forgive her guys. She’s not willing to settle for anything and knows her worth.
T has got to be my favorite in this book and you have to read to find out what I mean.
Her guys show a lot of growth in this book and I love to see it. I can not wait to see more of that.
We picked right off where book 1 left off & the relationship dynamic is starting to develop as we all wanted it to with a little surprise thrown in there a time or two & Daddy Teo 🥵🥵🧎♀️🧎♀️ yes please & thank you!
This is the second book in the Solidarity Academy series and was just as good as the first, but in a different way.
The book picks up where the last one ended, with Rylee being kidnapped. Unlike the last book, however, this one is all about redemption with a side of revenge, but not in the way you may think.
So much happens, but again, not what you’d expect. Actually, the entire time I was reading, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, especially since in the last book Rylee couldn't catch a break, so having it as the cliffhanger... *chef’s kiss*
This was a fast paced emotional rollercoaster! Picks up From the end of book 1. This writing duo know how to keep you on your toes with all the twists and turns and surprises! I love going in blind and being transfixed for a few days.
This book shows how Rylee’s relationship with Teo, Lennox, Colt and Donny progresses. There are lots of lighthearted moments with Donny- love him! The banter is incredible. There are heavy subjects discussed but they are done with care but I’d still need the trigger warning.
The cliffhanger though! Cannot wait to read the next book.
Tropes
❤️why choose ❤️bully romance ❤️JPO heroes with BDE ❤️ Grumpy/ sunshine ❤️cinnamon roll/ hot nerd/athlete ❤️sports romance (cheerleading) ❤️ college/ uni romance
That Dean has p***** me off! Missi and her Dad need a good butt kicking, for sure! Rylee is better than this, stronger and smarter. She'd better use her words and communicate like she told the boys. She is far from meek so let's not start acting like it now. Running to the next book ready to whisper yell because I know one of these characters will annoy me right away.... Fingers crossed, they don't.
The first book was so good and this one follows in the same vein. It picks up from where we left Rylee and the guys. I feel for poor Rylee, she’s such a kind honest person, the bullying of the first book was tough to read. This book is more about redemption for all the sins committed against Rylee in the first book. This book concerns her taking back control and a lot of grovelling from the guys, they certainly deserve to have to earn Rylee’s forgiveness. Great how she finds out each of the guy’s backstory and Lennox and Mateo decide to be brave. Of all the guys I still like Colton the best, still can’t forgive Adonis! See we haven’t seen the end of the awful Missi and her father the Dean. That ending tho, so exciting to read this and definitely can’t wait for the next instalment.
Ugh. So good. I love the relationships that are building in this book. I’m glad the boys are opening up to rylee. I can’t say much about this book without spoilers but missi and her father. Just ugh!!!
Love this series so far but ugh that ending cliff hanger is gross and over used. I feel zero pity for Rylee right now.
Spoilerish.
Just tell them everything it’s not hard and it’s also not her decision to make about the video and what not. If they decide she’s worth loosing everything then that’s up to them not her. I loved the first book and this book but that ending makes me want to give up on the rest. This stupid trope better get resolved within the first 5 chapters of the next book or I’m out I can’t deal with that tired storyline. I’m glad the dads been dealt with because this story has too many villains and it’s just unnecessary.
Also I love a growing harem but the amount of time we got for Trev was minor side character level. He needs more time in the next book or he’s pointless.
Why choose -Rylee Trevor, Mateo, Lennox, Adonis, Colton - there is MM in this harem Cheerleading academy
This has some darker themes to it.
There is a lot of background revealed during this book to help understand the guys and even rylee a lot better.
Rylee still wants some revenge for what they put her through so what will she do to get back at them... of course there is a cliffhanger and this one honestly made me more mad then anything so prepare for that!!
Review: Take ‘Em Out. ( Solidarity Academy #2 ) By: Alisha Williams & Amber Nicole. Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. ARC Copy.
Oh my goodness! I was so excited for this one! I feel like I waited forever. The first book which is Knock ‘Em Down, was really good and I had high hopes for this book. Take ‘Em Out is a dark whychoose MMFMMM, cheer academy bully romance and do check trigger warnings before reading.
Where do I start?! I don’t even know where to begin with this review. To me, the solidarity academy series is a one of a kind thing. There isn’t really much cheerleading type tropes out there and that’s what set this series up for me personally. And the characters! I love these MMC’s I can’t really choose between them.
* May talk spoilers! *
In Knock ‘Em Down we saw what Rylee was going through at the hands of the guys and some of her peers. And like Rylee herself, we were wondering what went wrong? Why didn’t these guys just ask her! Instead of assuming and causing all of this unnecessary drama?.
Mateo, Adonis, Lennox, and Colton aren’t what meets the eye in this series. Each one of these guys have some type of baggage that kinda explains why they jumped the gun with Rylee. One of my favorite things about Take ‘Em Out is that we get more of the guys past history, about what makes them how they are. We get more character development and I love that in a series.
We also get a new guy! And I’m here for it. I really liked the friendships that these characters have with one another, particularly with the guys themselves and Rylee’s friendship with Alex and Serenity. I loved this book very much and it met my expectations tenfold. I highly recommend it.
I have waited soooo long for this book I was gatting impatient... but finally is hereeee and It was everything that I needed and much more.
Sweet sweet groveling that was so so so good. I love every part of it..
Rylee is a very strong woman after everything she went through in book 1 she came back stronger. I love her character and how she build the relationship with the guys. It wasn't fast and it wasn't easy but it was needed.
The guys... Mateo I just want to punch him very hard on the face but at the same time he makes me hot. Lennox gave me mix feelings but I like him and want to cuddle with him. Colton oh sweet Colton he is so sweet I love him. Adonis he is my favorite he was amazing funny and the way he shows love is next level. T... he was interesting, refreshing and something that I didn't expected. Pleasent surprise.
Alex and Ren I love them soooo much they are the best friends a girl can ask for.
The story was straight to the point with the relationship development I really liked that it took time for each of them to create a relationship. We get some plot in the background but by the end you get whats coming ugh and is messy. That ending got me so f..... mad... now I have to wait for next book. Not fair ...
That extra scene was chef kiss... yummy
Donny was so funny with his special collection... 🤣
Take Em out is book two of Solidarity Academy and to say book one ended in a heart stopping cliff hanger, well book two had to up the antes and now I'm screaming for the third book!
I absolutely love Rylee and her character growth in this book, I love that she doesn't just give into the boy's apologies straight up, she put a little revenge in play, and can I just say I laughed OUT LOUD in one particular prank (if you know you know poor Donnie boy) i literally cried laughing (yes, I'm immature). The boys did some hard groveling and I'm happy with how it went in the book, no straight up forgivness they had a fight on their hands.
SPOILER *****
I knew that T would come into the relationship, i was so happy when she took the chance, and you can just tell he has so much love to give.
I also cannot wait to see how he (hopefully) forms bonds with the boy in the third book.
Also, Missy, she is a bitch I don't think I have hated a bad girl character as much as I do her. I hope that she gets that sweet sweet (PAINFUL cough) revenge severed hot to her.
I freaking loved this one. Compared to the first one it was definitely a lot more tamed in the bully aspect. This one focused more on building and repairing the relationship and trust between her and the guys. Once again the authors did an amazing job with this one.
They gave every single character their time to shine and grow. We really got to see how well she fits with them. They took their time to gain her trust and love back. In doing so they also opened up to her a lot more. Definitely made me so happy watching all of them love each other and have each other's back.
There was a new guy added to the harem and I am absolutely in love with him. He was just so sweet and caring and just everything you would want in a boyfriend. Just hoping him and the guys become at least friends in the next book.
Because the story focused a lot on all the relationships there was barely any outside drama ( there was some just not a lot). That gave me a weird feeling half way through the book. Just because I knew something was bound to happen I just didn't know when and it had me sweating.
This book also ended on a cliffhanger and I'm gonna go cry now until we get book 3.
*why choose *contemporary *multi-PoV *academy *bully *cheerleading *enemies to lovers *established harem (4) *fast burn 🔥 Honestly cannot tell you how glad I am that the guys realise how much they have messed up in this book!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 So after their idiotic attempts to keep Rylee safe, some of them start to realise that all is not quite right with their assumptions so far… some of them are farrrrrr more reluctant to let go of their WRONG ideas! 😖 However circumstances mean that Rylee finally has the chance to have it out with the boys after a frank discussion and boy do they realise what they’ve done, and I LOVE how strong Rylee is at not letting them get away with this - and the way she deals with them, honestly I was crying 😅🤣🤣 She does start to build back her relationships with some of the guys and it does help that we start to get an idea of their backstory’s and that does provide some insight as to why they may have responded the way they did, it also makes them more humbling in light of Rylee’s response to them 🥰🥰 I also love the way out of left field addition - makes my heart absolutely melt 😍 Although they’re starting to make some progress the have a long way to go…and it might a go t!t$ up after that cliffhanger!
Take em out picks up from the ending of the first book when Rylee was kidnapped. I really enjoyed her strength in book 1 particularly in dealing with the horrible bullying and was so pleased to enjoy the redemption journey that began in this installment.
I won't spoil things for those who want to read, but I am so grateful that the authors didn't fall into the usual trope of the wronged party going nuclear on their bullies. Her revenge is in keeping with her character and her inner monologue about it made the whole story feel more realistic.
I hated Lennox's father but loved seeing him and Teo come together and Rylee continue to be her amazing self supporting them and the other guys. Donny captured my interest most in book 1 but it is official he is my number 1 book boyfriend and needs to be protected at all costs. However, Trevor is an interesting addition....watch this space.
The development of the relationship and feelings between the group kept me smiling throughout and the spice in serious need of a cold shower. Impatiently hanging on for the next installment after that cliffy!
I don't know what to say. I'm absolutely flabbergasted at the ending of this book. I'm in shock. I'm in denial. They could not have just ended this book this way. That was not a nice ending. That was a WTF ending. That was a ending that should not have happened. In this moment, I'm so ready for book 3. Like absolutely ready.
Let's start at the beginning, shall we? To the moment where Rylee and this group of effed up men put themselves in a situation where they can do nothing but talk. So they talk, they hash things out. In one fell swoop, they're like we overheard something and we took it to the next level because we are stupid and don't know how to communicate. But does Rylee take it? Nope, she's like oh no sir, I don't play like that. Hilarity ensues after that. Because, it was immature-ish but absolutely hilarious no less.
Favorites for this book: Colton and Donny. Donny is a low key psycho. Underwear. IYKYK. But gotta say, Trevor is definitely pushing his way into the top 3. Because he loves our girl. I am so freaking ready for book 3.
I want to scream!!! This ending is killer!!! I can’t wait for book 3 now! I’m so hooked!
This book you pick up where you left off in Knock ‘Em Down! And if you have read it, then stop reading! . . .
Kidnapped! Rylee was kidnapped! And that is where you pick up! And damn was it a surprise to find out who and the reasons behind it! This book definitely pulls the heartstrings and you get more background on these guys. I totally thought things were going good until bam! That ending!
The guys! I mean, damn! Cotlon is so freaking sweet! I mean the desk scene 😮💨!! And Donny! I love him!! He is a little psycho with the whole underwear, but he’s so goofy you gotta love him! Teo & Len are working on it, but damn these boys! 🥵 and then there is Trevor! He’s pushing my top Fav, he is so sweet and will do anything to please Rylee! Rylee definitely has her work cut out of her here with these guys! Forgiveness is a hard thing to come by and she does not make it easy on them!
Thank you ladies for ripping my heart out again! But I can’t wait for what is in store in book 3, Raise ‘Em Up!
Blurb and warnings: Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.
Isn't that how the saying goes?
At this point, I don't even care.
I'm done trying to understand what went wrong and why those amazing guys from the summer became such nightmares.
It's time to put the pom poms down figuratively speaking and get into the ring.
They’ve messed with Rylee Moore for the last time.
Let's see who's played a fool now, boys!
It's time to Take 'Em Out.
This is book two of Solidarity Academy.
This is a dark, whychoose, MMFMMM, cheer academy bully romance.
This book is a very fast paced emotional rollercoaster, which I extremely enjoyed. This book picked up where book one left off of and quickly this book became addictive. I wasn’t able to put it down. Thank you for allowing me to be one of your arc readers! I can’t wait for me, trust me everyone you don't want to miss this book.
I love both of these authors and even though I’m not a fan of the miscommunication trope, I still enjoyed this book. I think now that we are beyond that part of the story and we’re getting more into the development of the guys’ backstories, the series will get even better.
We left off book 1 with Rylee being “kidnapped” and that’s right where we pick up, but things are not what they seem. Once things play out with that, it leaves an opening for the guys to start groveling (and some fun spicy time).
We also meet a new character in this book who definitely throws a wrench in the guys plans to get Rylee back and I am a fan!
As I said, this is not the type of series I would typically read, but these 2 authors could get me to read anything. Now that the guys are working their way back into Rylee’s good graces, I’m looking forward to the rest of the books. And if you love bully and/or miscommunication tropes, then you’ll definitely love them!
This book dives right bacK in where we were left with a massive cliffhanger in book 1. Rylee gets taken and finds herself thrown in a situation with the guys where some much needed truth comes to light. What she learns changes how she sees the guys in a completely different light. There was so much character and story growth in this book. We learn so much of the guys’ history and what they went through growing up. Understanding how they grew up makes it much easier to understand why they behave the way they do. I love that Rylee didn’t write them off, and has room in her heart for forgiveness. And in comes Trevor. He’s her best friend Alex’s best friend , and he’s got a thing for Rylee. He’s hot and he is such a sweetheart. I can’t wait to see where things go with these two. Im excited for the next book in this series. I loved this book so much ! The spice continues to be super hot with plenty of delicious scenes. Another outstanding book by Alisha and Amber. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
If you read Knock ‘Em Down, then you know all about the cliffhanger. Who is the good guy? Who is the bad guy? Which way is up? Well, don’t worry, you’ll learn the answers to those questions pretty quickly in Take ‘Em Out, Solidarity Academy Book 2).
This book picks up right where the first book left off. Rylee was taken by the boys to a cabin so they could convince her to leave in order to escape Missi’s wrath. When they have the opportunity to discuss everything, the boys realize just how mistaken they were and vow to make amends. However, can she really forgive them? We’ll see what happens as she enacts her own revenge on them. And what happens when someone new enters the picture? Will she forget about the guys willingly or will she be forced to?
Amber Nicole and Alisha Williams have done it again with this second book in the Solidarity Academy series! Tons of great drama, hilarious moments, and one heck of an ending!
Book two picks up right where one ended so can not be read as a stand-alone. Colton, Donny, Mateo and Lennox learn the truth and regret their actions but Rylee flips things and she is the one out for revenges on the guys. When everything starts to fall into place is when the other shoe always drops.
The cats should definitely plot his demise 😂 I want to see Peaches do something to Teo maybe in book 3!
This book the bullying is way less. Told in MPOV. Does not have a HEA it will continue in Raise 'Em Up. Why choose with MM. quick read for me since I was so excited for this book. I was here for the payback that Rylee wanted to give back as well as the relationship dynamic changes with Rylee and the guys. Can’t wait for the next book.
Oh man was this book so good and hard to put down. This is the 2nd book in the Solidarity Academy series from these ladies and boy was it good. It picks up where the first book left off at with Rylee being "kidnapped" although is it really when you know the kidnappers🤣. I don't want to spoil thing's you just need to go in blind and enjoy the wild ride these ladies take you on as we get some of the guy's life backgrounds that makes you want to give them hugs Donny especially he's just so hard not to love, but thing's take a turn from good the bad to the ugly when that cliffhanger happened ugh can no one please give this girl a break. Now I have to wait to find out what's going to happen next when the guy's find out. Come on book 3.
This book picks up right where it left off on book 1. I definitely liked this book way more than I did the 1st one. I am all for a bullying dark past etc but the 1st book was a lot for my taste maybe not yours. In the 2nd book it’s just enough bullying with a dash of spice, snark, and groveling Alpha males. I love the fact that this book just shows how strong this FMC is and she doesn’t have to stoop so far down to take revenge on those who have hurt her. Also Rylee & Ren are BFF goals! I also love how we get to know more of the pasts of the guys & Rylee, it really opens up your eyes to why they’re the way they are. I would suggest you read Knock ‘Em down before reading this so you can know what’s going on before you swan dive in!
Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2023 I have been anticipating this book for so long and couldn't be more excited when it hit my kindle. Amber and Alisha has certainly collaborated magnificently together with this series so far. The boys and Rylee certainly keep me entertained and I can't get enough of them.
As much as I would like to hate the boys, they know how to come back and grovel for being jerks to Rylee and seeing the light under the tunnel and tried rectifying their mistake before it was too late for them with her.
I am so in line to see what book 3 will bring us. These boys and Rylee are going to be the death of me (in a good way) and I'm all in to see what they'll bring to the table in the next book.
I am loving this series. Rylee & the guys finally talk about what happened that summer and there is lots & lots of groveling as the they try to work out if there's still a chance for them to each have a relationship with each other. We learn quite a bit of the guys' backstories, which doesn't excuse their behavior, but it does help shed some light on the why of their behavior. (Sunshine & rainbows it's not.) Loved Rylee's bffs Alex & Ren, and I loved the new addition of Trevor. And once again we are blindsided by a cliffy that I don't think anyone will see coming. I knew with crazy Missi lurking in the background something was coming, but not this.
So much progress!! The book picks up where the last one left us and you’re in for a ride the rest of the book. I read this straight thru in one day, ignoring everything I had to do because I just couldn’t put it down. Since it is only the second book in a series of at least four, nothing is settled by the end, of course, but it definitely leaves you wanting more. For me, the cliffy was mild and I was okay with that because the waves it will make in so many lives is going to be crazy when we get our hands on book three. These two authors together are fire—and so is this book. Can’t wait to read more!
Take Em out picks up right where the first one ended and we see who actually took Rylee and it probably wont be a surprise but still. Oh those boys have so much to work on and through to get anywhere near what they did to Rylee. I loved how strong she was and wasn't going to let anything or anyone tell her she wasn't worth it or strong. On the flip side of that Missi was full mean girl and even had her father throw his weight around and that ending I was mad, sad and so angry from Rylee and the guys!! Can't wait to see how the bad guys get theirs and Rylee finally stays on the top of the pyramid
We are back with our squad, and this book was for the boys. We got to dive a lot deeper into each of the guys backgrounds, to really understand why they are the way they are. We also got to see a lot of groveling from them as they try to get back into Rylee's good graces after finally realizing they screwed up! We also get an addition to the group that the guys are not super thrilled about. I loved that this book focused more on the guys and I think it will be interesting to see how the group plays out with the added member. I can't wait to see what Amber and Alisha brings us next!
