One of his earliest works was Tennenshokudanji Buray (天然色男児BURAY), which lasted for two volumes and was published from 1991 to 1992. Takahashi did not find success until 1996 when he created Yu-Gi-Oh!

Nice ending to the previous storyline and a strong introduction into the new one. The only gripe is that I won't be seeing any more card duels for a long time. One thing is for sure, Bakura is the strongest villain of the series.

L'arco di Battle City è terminato, ora ci addentriamo nell'ultimo (e per me straziante) arco, quello delle Memorie del Faraone. Preparo già i fazzoletti.
Mancano solo due volumi e io mi sto già chiedendo come farò senza Yugi, Atem, Kaiba e company.
Urge un rewatch dell'anime.

Volume 31: Marik shows the looted Millennium Ring. Marik summons Ra again, sacrificing his LP to power it, as well as feeding his Monsters to it for more ATK. Yugi blindly sets and activates Devil's Sanctuary. Devil's Sanctuary summons a Metal Devil reflecting Marik's remaining 1 LP, so if he attacks he will kill himself. Marik uses De-Fusion to split himself from Ra... somehow... which also gives him the extra LP from Ra's booster ATK. Yugi uses Multiply on Metal Devil to summon Obelisk, attacking Marik directly for 4000 damage. (Base Marik's spirit visits Rishid to apologize.) Dark Marik activates Metal Reflect Slime to Special Summon a God Slime copy of Obelisk with 3000 ATK. Marik somehow fuses God Slime with Revival Jam. Marik summons Bowganian to burn Yugi's LP and plays Jam Defender to protect Bowganian. Base Marik possesses Anzu to give Yugi a pep talk. Marik draws Monster Reborn again. Marik summons Phoenix Mode again, but Yugi uses Monster Reborn on Osiris to protect Obelisk. Marik plays Surprise Attack From the Darkness for a second Battle Phase, Special Summoning and fusing with Ra again. Yugi plays Dimension Magic to sacrifice Obelisk and Special Summon Dark Magician. Rishid arrives to speak to Base Marik, who then returns to Dark Marik's body for a moment to give Yugi a pep talk. Yugi destroys the fusion of Ra and Dark Marik, causing Base Marik to swap places with Dark Marik in the Shadow Game. Base Marik forfeits, allowing Yugi to win Battle City, and Ra as ante, as well as the Millennium Rod and Ring. Base Bakura takes the Ring back. Alcatraz explodes. Kaiba goes to America. Yugi and Jonouchi prepare to duel. Volume end.
Volume 32: We get a flashback of Sugoroku obtaining the Millennium Puzzle's box through a Shadow Game in the Pharaoh's tomb. A thief tries to steal Yugi's God Cards, but Dark Bakura stops him. Bakura gives Yugi the Millennium Eye and tells him the Items unlock the door to the Afterlife. Yugi and his friends head to the museum where they are met by Bobasa, a fat Egyptian man with indents in his flesh for the Millennium Items, including Shadi's Key and Scales already inserted. Dark Yugi presents the God Cards to the slab in the museum and his spirit is sucked into the World of Memory where he meets Siamun Muran and the Six Priests chosen by the Millennium Items. It turns out the Millennium Items are meant to judge sinners by turning their Ka into monsters to be bound to stone slabs. The Pharaoh is visited by the self-proclaimed King of Thieves, Bakura. Bobasa judges Yugi's friends with the Millennium Scales to make sure they are "good" enough to enter Yugi's heart and follow the Pharaoh; Bakura isn't. In the World of Memory, the Priests extract Ancient Bakura's Ka, the god Diabound. Priest Seto summons Galestgoras to battle Diabound. Bakura defeats Galestgoras by having Diabound go into Seto's stone tablet to destroy it. We learn the Millennium Items were created by the Pharaoh's father. Bakura wants the Items in order to gain the power of Zorc Necrophades. The other Priests attack Bakura and Diabound but the Pharaoh pushes Bakura aside to challenge him for stepping on his father's mummy. Volume end.
Volume 33: The Pharaoh hears his father's words that "justice is in the name of the gods" and is inspired to summon Obelisk against Bakura. Bakura fucks off and teases a war against the Pharaoh. Base Yugi and friends are tasked with finding the Pharaoh's lost name to open the door to the Afterworld. Priest Seto conspires to create a Ka to surpass God. The Priests spar in preparation for Bakura's return. Seto sacrifices his teammates' Ka to power up his Duos. The Pharaoh pooh-poohs Seto's individualism, so Seto challenges him to a Duel, in which Duos is shitted on by Kuriboh. Priest Mahado has a female apprentice called Mana, who looks like Dark Magician Girl. Mahado sets a trap for Bakura leading to a battle. Diabound has evolved, but so has Magus of Illusion, which now resembles Dark Magician with an obscured face. Mahado sacrifices himself by fusing his Ka and Ba into Dark Magician, knocking Bakura away but sealing his own power into a stone tablet. The gang use the Power of Friendship to transport themselves into the World of Memory (Dark Bakura sneaks in as well). Priests Seto and Shads begin the Ka hunt, finding a guy with Saggi the Dark Clown. Seto defends a pale woman from villagers, and Shada sees a white dragon Ka. Volume end.

This was a good volume that concluded the Battle City arch well and yet the character development of Marik was well done, leading a good conclusion to his character.
Yet I found the start of Millennium World interesting and yet far more shocking than the anime. I found that the set up was also was better handled.
It introduced Thief King Bakura was better than the anime and showed more clout to his ability to tomb raid and why he is called the King of Thieves.
